A great little pub selling real ales. The night we were in was open mic night so there was some music going on. Friendly manager and friendly locals too. There was also a real fire.

Great company, real ales and a roaring fire greeted us together with friendly service. It is a local ale house for us and it does have a fair amount of entertainment throughout the year. Live music usually has free admission and there is always an open-mic on the first Saturday of the month. A fine public house, friendly people and great company.

We’re staying at The Old Smithy and went for a quick drink this afternoon only to leave at 10pm after having the best time with the locals. Paul and Jackie were great hosts and we can’t wait to come back! Highly recommended this very friendly fun pub. Thank you for a great Boxing Day. John, Lauren, Kirstie and Jack :)

The nicest pub owners, made our 1 hour walk from the campsite worthwhile. Top tip, take cash as they do not have a card machine. Highly recommend

Fabulous quirky old pub! Lovely owners. No food except for bar snacks.... Go for the pickled eggs in crisps! Had a great time chatting to owners and locals. Nice dog walks, if a bit hilly. Expect a very old pub, as it used to be, without the "pseudo olde worlde trimmings" lots of banter and strict covid rules, and you'll have a great time, as we did!

Giving The Greyhound Inn 5 stars as my 1st visit with a mate whose gets there when he can (Terry) and good kept Ale was served. Owners friendly. Couple of regulars sat by fire and joined in chat. Tidy, looking forward to Terry letting me know he's off walking Rocco again in the same area to call in again.

The pub is a straightforward and lovely traditional example, but its best feature is Paul, the Landlord. As complete strangers, he was friendly, helpful and almost convinced us to buy the house we were there in the village to look at, just so we could join the village community! It is a lovely place enhanced by the pub - recommended +++

We chanced on this little gem when we got lost on our last walk in Powys. A truly warm welcome - clean, comfortable and a lovely barman who was so helpful. Made us tea and drinks, called us a taxi and was kind enough to say that getting lost on the walk was an easy thing to do. He made our day with his kindness - and the pub with excellent ales and real charm is a great find.
