From the moment we walked in it was welcoming and classy at the same time. The bar snacks are fantastic, and also the cocktails.

Upmarket “traditional” pub. Not exactly traditional in that a doorman opens the door as you approach (!?), but decor is old School with nice nice ceilings (there is a cosier lounge/library). Somewhat expensive bar snacks but the toasted cheese was huge (we shared one) and the tiny crab crumpets delicious. Cocktails not bad - but not a patch on the real deal next door in the langham proper. Watch out that service is automatically added to the bill - even if you are ordering at the bar - which is cheeky. Beer decent.

VERGOGNATEVI

We had a fantastic lunch in the Wigmore. The food is lovely and the prices are very reasonable. We had aloo tiki and fish sandwich for starters and monkfish with crushed potatoes, peas and girolles for our mains and we shared a plum and frangipane tart with creme fraiche for dessert. It was all really lovely, a proper treat. The side dish of bloody Mary chips was the best chips I've ever tasted, it's worth a visit just for them. We had a great bottle of French white wine which was well worth £33. The staff looked after us well and we had a really lovely afternoon and recommend the Wigmore 100%.

Sorry to say as we were looking forward to eating at The Wigmore after reading great reviews about this pub and that it is overseen by Michele Roux. The Sunday lunch was nothing special, the Lamb was very tough and chewy to eat, the roast beef (2 small slices were just ok) and the roast potatoes where nothing like the image shown on the website, but serving the food on very small plates was really quite unbelievable! Even the starter of a scotch egg with dressing etc was served on a plate no bigger than a saucer and served with a spoon! There was no Guinness as there was a problem with cleaning the pipes, yet a couple who came in and sat on the next table to us soon after were served pints of Guinness. There was also a problem with the extra side of cauliflower cheese which arrived 10 minutes after the mains had been served. But what was extremely disappointing a couple arrived who sat on the next table to ours had a dog which climbed up onto the seat right next to me and after just finishing my lunch I had to move across almost sitting on top of my friends lap whilst the dog sprawled out right beside me with the owner clearly not bothered. Had I still been eating my lunch I would have had no choice but to ask the dog owner to move his dog or to speak to a member of staff putting me in a position of spoliing and upsetting not just my lunch, but my husband and our friends lunch also. Totally unacceptable behaviour and not very professional of the staff to allow this to happen. I spoke to the dog owner as we were leaving who was very rude and dismissive. Needless to say we will not be dining at The Widmore again not just for the disappointment of the food but the lack of respect to the paying customers.

Well, how wonderful find a small private room in Central London on an England Football match day. We started in the main room and although one of the Wimbledon cocktails was “unavailable”, we enjoyed our choices. Then we moved into the private room in time for kick off. This is when Tamara began to look after us, what a star, she fully understood the audience, matched us up will excellent food, beer, cocktails and wine.

Our second visit and as good as the first. Cheese toasties fabulous, better than the one at The Fed in Boston, although they did also make a very good effort. Impossible to pop in for a quick drink as a place we just want to linger. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the Guinness pronouncing it better than the much feted Devonshire!!! It will now always be a stop off when in London. The young team of staff are charming and completely on point, which makes a huge difference. Already looking forward to our next trip down in September.

I’ve been eating at the Wigmore for many years during every trip to London (from California). The toastie is the best in the world. And the ambience is second to none. This time - for the first time - I brought my family from California to London. And the Wigmore was one of our top destinations for the trip. It did not disappoint. The XXL Toastie and the Sassy Mango drink were absolute standouts. The manager took good care of us, and Holly was outstanding. Holly went out of her way to make us comfortable, provide top notch service, and overall made it a fantastic experience. 5 stars all around from service, to food, to drink, to ambience. Thank you!!

Popped into our fancy hotel pub for a pint with me chums and ordered some fries not thinking it was THAT DAY. I am on the constant search for the ultimate order of fries and did not expect to find them in such a posh pub. Thick cut, well fried verging on the well done side, and dusted with a bloody mary salt that was so bloody good! Paired up with the creamiest of Guinness, it was perfection.

We had pre booked an early dinner before going to The London Palladium, which is about a 5-minute walk away. We arrived 10 minutes early but our table wasn’t ready, so we waited at the bar until we were taken through to a small quieter side room. It’s decorated like a gentleman’s lounge but the low seating and cramped space makes it a physically uncomfortable dining experience. The food was variable. The scotch (quail’s) eggs starters looked amazing but a little bland. I had a superb beef pie with mash but the portion size was mean. My partner asked our server about the burger, which is served with ox tongue rather than the more typical bacon. He advised her that, as a child, he didn’t like ox tongue. But she said that it was sliced very thinly and enhanced the burger. So he went ahead and ordered on her recommendation. It arrived looking good but the ox tongue was gelatinous and tasted of offal. It was difficult to remove from the burger as it was embedded in melted cheese. The burger was served medium rare (he wasn’t asked how he’d like the beef cooked) and contained gristle and a small piece of bone! We complained to a different server who removed our dishes. She apologised and kindly gave us a complimentary round of drinks. Overall it wasn’t an experience that we’d do again. There are too many alternatives in London, so we won’t return.

One of my guests had toast and was charged the full continental breakfast rate?. don’t have a business breakfast unless you’re happy to get up and serve yourself. Circa £85 for two people, and one person who just had some toast. And on top of that they charge extra for coffee.

Just up from Oxford Circus, this place just ‘works’…and effortlessly so ! It’s clearly ‘nice’ and right from the get:go, there’s a sense of elegance, of smartness. It blends tradition with contemporary ; its comfortable and there’s a distinct warmth emanating. The servers are first rate ; they look great in their uniforms which again mix modern ( jeans ) with classic ( shirt & waistcoat ) and their engagement is well judged and highly effective. The menu is limited - and delicious ; reasonably priced too. A relaxed evening hallmarked by an easy quality.

l’ve been here many times for cocktails and the best cheese toastie in London, if not the entire country. This time it was for breakfast with bottomless Bloody Marys. It did not disappoint. Zoltan and Lucas were front of house and entirely charming throughout. Gianpaolo was behind the bar and expertly conjured up five spectacular Bloody Marys during my breakfast, without a complaint, even when I ordered one more as the bar closed. Equally obliging was Chef Lucas, who created a sublime breakfast stovetop toastie, even though I ordered it after the kitchen had closed, having already eaten a magnificent Kedgeree. Zoltan informed me that Head Chef James was in the kitchen, overseeing things as I ate and became marvellously sozzled, on a Sunday morning too, I was impressed. I’m very grateful and felt that everybody bent over backwards for me and delivered an inspiring and boozy breakfast of champions. I also highly recommended The Wigmore for lunch, dinner or just cocktails, beers and spectacular bar nibbles. Book it immediately and go.

The young guy who showed us to our table sorted the drinks. We were then served by a lovely waitress by the name of Margarita who looked after us very well. Dined at The Wigmore on Thursday 27th May, had a brilliant experience. Initially had a table inside, as outside was fully booked. The really nice host worked his magic and found us a table outside after a quick drink at the bar. We had our...

Hands down one of the best restaurants in London! The atmosphere is incredible, and the service does not disappoint (shoutout to Jordan!). I had the Croquetas and the Pie and Mash, both were amazing. Super tasty! It's an absolute 10 out of 10 and I'm...

Like everything else at the Langham, the Wigmore is a little slice of high-end pub perfection. The food is wonderful, the atmosphere friendly, and the staff extraordinarily accomodating...none of that is a given despite the price tag and it's certainly not part of every five-star...

The Wigmore do a great job of balancing pub-like comfort with hotel-like luxury. Table service and good quality food and drinks. It’s also a great venue to watch the rugby with a big projector screen and good sound, though it’s a nice enough place that...

Very busy even in the afternoon, attached to the langham hotel. Great decor and high ceilings. Service was prompt cocktail list was unusual but something for everyone. Bar snacks too but it was a little pricey. Nice ambience though and worth it.

Visited Wrights Cafe Pall Mall last weekend. The food was absolutely delicious! I also had a coffee and it was the best one i have had in the area….The prices are definitely on the cheaper side, especially for the area. Staff are friendly and helpful too. Definitely recommend to all!!!

Last evening we went as a group friends 9 in total to the restaurant. The quality and the quantity of food was poor. When we complained to one of the member of stuff, asking to see the manager or chef, no one came to us to explain or apologise! Definitely Won't go back ever again. ☹
