Nice traditional pub with a warm welcome and a great pint of Bass. They had a good selection of board games to play as well.

Amazing old pub... 1682 above the door but possibly older! Great to meet locals there who were happy to talk about the history and the area.

Great pub. Cantankerous landlord (and his nasty terrier dog) but will give you fantastic banter. Beer good.

Lovely Thai food at the back you go through a door to a restaurant take your drink with you. It was very quiet but I was very early as working away pub serves a good pint like I said I was early around 6pm pub had plenty of character as it was old. I recommend definitely if you're into Thai.

I expected a lot more from my meal ,starter was good but main and rice was terrible .overcooked chicken isn't what I would expect from Thai resteraunt

A great little pub, that I personally enjoyed. Land Lords friendly enough. Relaxed atmosphere with leather chairs so comfortable your ordering your 2nd pint before you drank your first. This one is my personal favourite. Its comfortable spacey with a good atmosphere to it. Quite place to reflect.

Had a works (Quill International) Christmas function here. A warm, cosy, intimate little village pub. Lovely. And the Thai kitchen put on a perfect buffet. Thanks White Swan.

A very characterful pub which we enjoyed very much, especially the log burner as it was a freezing evening. Very decent beer too. Will be back ...

Bit like a pub .... for those that remember what a pub is like... no joke box (music) no food... just good people having a lovely time.

Great tapas on Wednesday nights! We had black pudding scorch eggs also tried home made pickled eggs.

Welcoming cosy pub. Serves a good pint of Grolsch which you do not find at many pubs nowadays. Will try food next time.

Excellent Thai restaurant in rear room

I found the landlord to be cantankerous and his advice not needed. Beer ok.

Old English pub. Thai restaurant adjoining. The pub itself is quaint, but my friend and I sat on a leather sofa which felt like we were 2 inches from the floor and had to fight to get out of. I got up, with some difficulty, and sat on a stool which was so high in comparison that I felt ridiculous. The drinks were expensive and we then had to witness an uncomfortable argument between some people who had been waiting for 2 hours to get into the restaurant and, I presume, the manageress of the restaurant who had made a mistake with their booking. She was unapologetic and stormed off saying she wouldn’t be told off, slamming the double doors of the restaurant behind her. I couldn't wait to get out of there.

Great staff. Very reasonable prices. Sunday car very very popular and crowded..Good value for money.. Light.bites more than adequate and cheaper than a fish and chip take-away. Don’t change a good formula,
