Excellent service food good very helpful need more disable spots visited last week couldn't park as non disabled people using parking space

Food wasn't hot, we waited for what felt like a lifetime to be seated, and it was over priced imo. Not the greatest experience.

Waited to be seated for 10 minutes before any staff even looked at us, then a further 5 minutes before someone said anything to us, and it was, "It's a half hour wait for food." (Not even a 'hello' or 'sorry'). Very rude, terrible service. Walked out without even sitting down, then drove on a further 5 minutes to a Harvester.

Real American feeling, used to live in the U.S. get really nostalgic when dining here...

Very good breakfast (Yankee Doodle Dandy) - decent pancakes and bacon well done as requested. Filter coffee (with endless refills) was good

Tracey was lovely and her service was brilliant. She was kind & the food was absolutely amazing.

Stopped here and waited in the waiting area behind around group of people for 5 mins. We weren't patient enough so left. We've now received a £60 parking fine. Bit harsh and sad.

We went as a family of 4 (x2 adults, school aged child and a newborn) for a Sunday Brunch. I ordered the short stack pancakes (amazing very fluffy and hot!), tea (refillable) and fizzy pop, my partner had a bigger one breakfast which filled a space and my daughter had a breakfast with 3 items, drink and pancakes for afters. She loved it all! Service was slow but it was Sunday so we didn't mind a bit of a wait. The waitress was lovely she had so much time for my daughter while taking our order and servicing food, she gave the gold standard colouring sheet and crayons without us having to ask (my daughter was pleased). And finally we would go again, would be nice if you could book in advance as seating area is quite small and if we had to wait for longer we would have no place to be comfortable.

Ate breakfast here. Service friendly and food served promptly. Kids eat free if an adult has a main which is a real bonus. Breakfast was decent. As a themed diner could do with a lift in atmosphere. The decor feels a littled jaded, but not dirty. If passing and in need of a break this is a good choice

Queued to be seated, was seen by the staff. Continued to queue to be seated, continued to be seen by staff, not acknowledged...after more than a few uncomfortable minutes, gave up. Not ok.

Lovely place to eat an authentic American burger. Happy to see such a big variety of burgers. Photos bellow shows a 6oz double cheeseburger and a simple 2 fried eggs and bacon with chips. The burger was massive but really fresh and tasty. Staff was really friendly!! Big thumbs up!!

How and why have I received a PCN for parking here for less than 20minutes for a stop off the A38. There are no clear signs regarding parking notices and I had used OK diner for a toilet break. This is disgusting behaviour. Shame on you.

Food was fantastic but the 35 minute wait for food was a little bit poor. However that doesn't takeaway form the overall service.

We visit the restaurant once a month. The restaurant is always clean and well presented. The menu offers a great choice from breakfast specials to amazing burgers and desserts. Our waitress Tracey is attentive and serves with a smile making you feel at home. I would recommend this place with a 10 out of 10.

Stopped on the way out of derby for breakfast, staff member greeted me at entrance, diner really clean, gave me a menu, ordered a tall stack of pancakes, staff member asked what I would like with it, ie bananas,syrup, served very quickly, ok pancakes were lovely " .

So disappointed with the Derby service- such a shame and hope that they do improve as used to be such a lovely eat

Incredible staff, outstanding food and free parking that is plentiful! Wide choice of food, clean and tidy restaurant and staff go above and beyond! Were frequent visitors and love eating here as a family. They even offer a kids eat free during the week or 15% discount for membership. Highly recommend and our go to place to eat!!!

Been ages since I've been to an ok diner, the food was fresh and really good quality . The staff were good, attentive and really pleasant. Highly recommend

During our trip to Pick District, we stopped at this place for 15 minutes to have tea. There was no clear sign showing it was paid parking. I checked Google images and satellite view, but couldn’t find anything. The entrance only indicated it was a parking area. It was dark that night, and we couldn’t see any signs. Later, I received a Parking Charge Notice and appealed, but they rejected it. Unfortunately, I’m two hours away from this location and don’t have time to deal with it, but we’ll definitely appeal again through the independent appeals service (POPLA). Don’t park here at all! There are plenty of comments with the same story. This is daylight robbery—I ended up having to pay £60.

Absolutely horrible experience. I stopped for just a moment to rest and drink a cup of tea in this parking lot because I was exhausted. There were no clear signs anywhere stating that parking wasn’t free, but apparently, they expect you to magically know you need to pay. Now I’m stuck paying an outrageous £60 fine for simply parking there. This is a complete scam! Avoid this place at all costs, unless you enjoy being ripped off!

Arrived around 18.00 with my wife and two children. There were two or three tables already in. Waited 10 minutes to be greeted then to be told it was over an hour's wait for food. Used the toilets for our toddler, which smelled heavily of urine and then left.

Avoid pulling over or parking here at all costs. Diner employs an extortionate car management firm that fines drivers between £60-£100 regardless of length of stay or whether you even get out the car. I pulled over to take a call as the adjacent fuel station was full and had a fine of £60. Daylight robbery.

Amazing food even thought it was full and really busy they were still spot on with service my first time in ok couldt fault it will be back

Avoid like the plague people their parking situation is a scam ! Charged £100 for parking because they refused me a receipt to prove that I eat at the establishment !! How bad is that !! I complained and put the phone down on me twice as they said it’s not there problem .. pathetic behaviour! Just like their overall service!! As you can imagine I wouldn’t be going back there again!!

I really liked it here. The waitress was charming, the milkshake was mind blowing and I felt like I was teleported to a scene of Pulp Fiction before anyone gets a gun out. Great for fussy eaters and kids eat free. Bathrooms were clean and well supplied. Many of the drinks also come with free refills just ask the staff, and you can take food to go as well.

Avoid at all costs!! Their car parks are run by a cowboy parking company who will send you an invoice for £100 if your vehicle enters the grounds and the staff inside don't get you to put your reg into an ipad. The company director seems to be actively trying to harm his own business, driving customers away unless they for some reason kept a recipt of a breakfast that they ate weeks prior. I've never experienced such appalling service. Disgusting!

Visited on a few occasions and has always been great but tonight it was not good by any means Waited over half an hour for 3 hot dogs and one burger there was only 5 tables in including ours so wasn't busy chef looked bored and uninterested in his job I saw half of our order on the counter waiting to be brought over the first two plates to come the chips were cold and tasted like cardboard the hot dog was Luke warm at best the chilli wasn't like it had been heated at all I wasn't going to complain whilst in there as it was my son's birthday meal and he suffers with ADHD and really bad anxiety it would have upset him too much Can honestly say we will not be visiting again which is a shame cause my son loves the diner vibe 😞

Was expecting a little more of an american experience and more american tasting food.

I enjoyed excellent food, drinks and atmosphere here this afternoon, delivered by friendly and welcoming waitressing staff and chef, in a Rock 'n' Roll music vibe diner. (Worth a mention also, is that the tables and all of the condiments , sauces etc, were immaculately clean and well presented.) Highly recommend!

Only a couple minutes to wait for a table, was warned of about an hour's wait for food but they were upfront about it so we said ok. Ordered starters and they arrived about 15-20 minutes after and the mains arrived maybe half an hour later at the very most. Food is excellent, good portion sizes even for larger appetite diners like myself and reasonably priced for what you'd pay these days for a sit down meal. Would happily go again and already looking forward to doing so!

Cracking peanut butter milkshake!

Only had coffee but they managed something most places don't and that was to serve a hot drink properly hot. Coffee was nice and staff very pleasant.

Yeah, that was the worst location I've ever been. The food was so bad that I wish I could go back in time and never have digested it—in fact, I wouldn't even call it food. Additionally, I received a fine for parking in their lot, and the restaurant declined to assist me claiming it had no connection to them.

Went inside to ask if they do halal food I left was there for 5min cost me £170 parking fine Thank you OK Dinner I work for NHS pays not that great youve made my day

The staff here are so miserable there is no hospitality what so ever. Didn't provide are drinks for well over half hour then the cheek of it expected a tip and even asked how much do you fancy adding. You get tipped when you provide a friendly service and your good at ya job if ya don't like ya job find another

Great food and ambience, service was good, and the milkshakes are to die-for. My only criticism is the prices are a little high.

Initially, was about to walk back out due to attitude. Experience got better as time passed.

AVOID PARKING AT ALL COSTS! If you park there and you decide not to eat anything, you will receive a Parking fine of 100 pounds! Staff members didn't even notify us that we have to register our car, even though we stopped for a health emergency. Absolutely appauling!

Like the name says, it’s OK, wait time for two full breakfasts is around 1 hour based on our 4 experiences there. Staff are nice but very frantic, “busy” is 10-15 people for them. Probably won’t go back now, cleanliness has gone downhill if I’m honest. Disappointing as there good staff to customers ratio.

Very overcooked beef, overcooked wings too. The milkshake was enjoyable though, and good service.

Burger Wednesday, well worth the visit

Brilliant place and the music is fab

Came one Wednesday afternoon. Was waiting 25 minutes before someone even came and took our order. There was a rude women behind us demanding better seats and that she got fed first. She was accommodated better then us. Place was dirty, not just tables and seats but menus were too. My drinking glass was dirty and had the last person's meal on. The food wasn't warm when it came out. And the server dropped half of our fries on the table when bringing it out.

I enjoy the OK Diner, been to this one a few times and will definitely go again, the food is lovely and always has been, my last vist my wife and I met up with my daughter and partner, we felt the service was not very attentive and it's like they only want to use half the room so you find yourself sitting in the same place you did last time. Would of been nice to a bit more space and different view. However, It wouldn't put me from going again, it's in a good location and easy to find, great menu, plenty to choose from and my daughter is vegetarian, she was impressed with the choices. The milkshakes are to die for. Looking forward to going again soon, many thanks

Brilliant staff, first class food at reasonable prices and spotlessly clean

Stopped off for brunch on our journey down south. Food was as expected in a diner, and the service was great.

Love this place, root beer floats are astounding. The biscoff cheesecake is to die for, staff are very friendly and helpful too. Update: food and service is still phenomenal, the root beer has been changed now though and tastes of pure sucralose unfortunately. They do have full fat cherry coke though so I have that instead now

Staff were not motivated, and having to wait quite a time to be served didn't help. However, the food was great.

Came with 91 year old dad. Both of us coeliac. Given alergen menu so knew options. Happy to accommodate Dad's small appetite. Staff very attentive. We weren't rushed! Oh... and don't forget to register your number plate!

Terrible service waited over 50 min for food. Wouldn't have minded the wait. If they had informed us at the start, there would be a wait. When the food was finally served, the chicken on the Americal grill was overcooked, and the butter for the jacket potato contained toast bread crumbs, we had no toast! Other items were very greasy. Will not be returning again.

Always great, love the staff however they have some staff shortages but they try so hard and are so ameniable

4 stars on atmosphere due to a couple that were loud, overloud,as I say "there's nowt like a private conversation". Other than that, I fully recommend OK Diner on the food, staff and service. We made a special trip of 31 miles to revisit. Nom nom nom!!!

Great American style breakfast. Asked for eggs overeasy and they were perfect.

Used to come here regularly but it has really gone downhill. It is nothing like an American diner, service was abysmal, waited over an hour for food while the servers quite literally ignored us (wasn't even that busy) and was eventually served food that was quite literally stone cold. Neither meal was eaten and to compensate for waiting over an hour for COLD food I was offered a 15% discount which I would have received anyway for being in the members club. Extremely disappointing, inadequate and unprofessional service. Will not be coming here again. Prices have also gone up massively. Very expensive for very mediocre/bland food, even when it is served hot. Not worth the money at all.

Great burgers. Going on a Wednesday means you pay half price or less on a selection of burgers if you buy a drink. You get chips with this and a very tasty relish dip. Lots of parking space. Amazing puddings and milk shakes. Hard to fit in after the burger. Unlimited coffees, on particular selection, the same with soft drinks. Very kid friendly.

People very friendly and helpful the food was awesome definitely worth a visit.

Chronically short staffed, leading long waits an cold food, single waiter was doing his best but still not good enough, and I am naturally a patient person. In the end when cold food arrived I left without eating.
