Got to say the staff was lovely.... our dinner came and mine was cold and asked them to sort it out... They was fabulous and very helpful... Because of this we got money taken off and a drink.... Definitely will go back... Well done to the staff....

Visited Sunday lunchtime. Beautiful day and was really looking forward to some good food as we had been here many times before. Had halloumi for starter . The halloumi was very nice but only got two very thin slices and no pitta bread for the humous 🤷🏻‍♀️ at a cost of £8 . For mains chicken souvlaki , what a joke . It looked like a child’s portion . Pitta bread and chips nice . Salad didn’t look fresh and the chicken kebabs were so small 😱 Didn’t taste like they’d been cooked on a bar b q …. I was absolutely disgusted . This main cost £20 . No one came to the table to see how the food was . We left pretty soon after finishing . We definitely will not be returning . Feel very disappointed 😢

We came back after few months as we used to enjoy the place and the food, unfortunately today we did not live the same experience: food was ok, service was relatively quick however when I ordered the grilled halloumi and the two chicken skewers souvlaki, I expected to receive a bit more than what we have been served. The halloumi was basically two grilled slices with a spoonful of hummus and no pita bread. Asked the waiter he said it is not part of the plate ? By the way it was 8 GBP of that starter. Then the skewers did come with 4 pieces of pita, a salad that wasn’t among the freshest I have seen, nice salty chips but instead of the normally long skewers with the chunk of chicken one would expect, we received the two small supermarket sized skewers shown in the pic. This for a modest 20 GBP each ? Food was good however the disappointment comes from the portion/price ratio that apparently has shrunk over the last few months…. Very disappointing.

I am updating my last review as we came here again today 10/05/25. A beautiful day. Ordered some food i had the baby squid for starters which was more of a combination of calamari and baby octopus (not squid) and then had the chicken breast skewers which was not chicken breast it was thigh meat (the cheapest cut of chicken) so it was a huge disappointment. Staff were nice though and location is always good but food was very poor considering the price you pay and is not what you get as described in the menu, (I'm sure thats not allowed by any standard) Told the waiter about the food and he just said oh! No, ill let the chef no, nothing. Left very disappointed and won't go again for food. Great place to sit outside on a sunny day. Had to fetch my own food as we sat across from the road which kind have let it down a bit hence the 4 stars. Staff were pleasant enough though

Service was absolutely fantastic and you can tell they pride themselves on customer service. Rihanna was absolutely brilliant and couldn't have done more for us. Would recommend for anyone and also dog friendly inside as well.

My friends and I came here and the service/food was excellent. Shout-out to Lucy for putting raspberries in my lemonade 🙌

Popped in to join the quiz on Thursday night. Huge fun with friends. Much hilarity trying (and possibly failing) to answer various categories of questions in teams of 4 Very happily accepted tasty chips and crispy fresh bread in the interval, thank you 😋 We will be back, maybe not with any more correct answers, but certainly to revel in the lunacy of our decisions in agreeing what we thought was (possibly) correct!! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

Food was edible but lacking. All round bland and disappointing. We had high hopes as the place looks great and is very accessible with a wheelchair. Staff friendly but service was a little slow.

There was a wait on our pre booked table, them a further wait on food which made it quite late, it was very busy, but when the food arrived it was worth the wait, and plenty of it.

The food was absolutely awful. I had a Sunday roast - lamb, which came out pre sliced like hospital steamed meat - it was awful quality. Carrots got sent back as they were absolutely full of grit - they got replaced but came back out the same. It wasn’t u til my dinner arrived they told me there was no cauliflower cheese for my meal so I didn’t eat the awfully fatty meat, I had no carrots, no cauliflower cheese. Nobody out of the party of 3 ate the meat it was taken home for the dogs! - We had to wait for cutlery a few minutes after everyone’s food arrived. Overall very very disappointed and we won’t return.

Today we went for Sunday lunch. Over 40 minutes for the food to be delivered and the food was not a patch on the Carvery they used to run. I had the pork and it was all fat and tasted like it had come from a pre packed cold meat pack it was definately not freshly roasted pork, it tasted as if it had been heated up on a griddle. The other diners had the mixed meat and again it looked and tasted like supermarket sliced meat. The childs roast had turkey and it had been overly re heated to the point it was dry as a bone and hard . The cauliflower cheese was really insipid and appeared to be a bowl of cauli with some cheese sauce poured on it and not lovely and toasted in thd oven as it should be . We were really disappointed as we have always had good meals there. I feel it was grossly overpriced and definately not worth the money.

Not impressed with the food at all. No heat on the hot and spicy pizza. Over salted mash, dry bread and burnt batter on the fish😔. Overpriced and underwhelming

It's not what we expected with it being Greek. The feel wasn't there of it being Greek. it was just like being in any other restaurant. The service was quick, although we had a server that didn't know what beers on draft they were or anything about drinks they serve at all. we had what we were given, basically. They didn't have any drinks menus on the table, just a wine menu, not a great selection on the food menu we wouldn't be revisiting there again

Had a table of 25 for a surprise 60th Birthday. Everything was amazing. Food was fantastic, service was 10/10. Nikki helped organise everything to keep the event a surprise. Everyone said how great it was, nothing too much trouble. Highly recommend a visit.

Waiters were friendly and polite but the food and especially the meat was not fresh at all.Unfortunately we will not be back

Very large and spacious pub with plenty of tables including a dinning space set further from the bar. Staff were friendly, but a little slow in taking our food order. It was lunchtime in the week and there were several diners, but it was not overly full. The food came hot and was presented with a dressed salad, including brown olives, peppers and red onion. It tasted very fresh. The portions were a good size, which reflected the price, £17 for my halloumi wrap. This meal came with a pitta style wrap cut in to quarters. Again, very fresh, soft and delicious. Overall a lovely lunch was had by our party. *** Point to note. Ensure you register your car on the ipad at the bar, otherwise you would be liable for a parking fine. I missed the signs, but fortunately one of our party let me know as we were leaving. ***

Over priced disgusting place, all different cutlery, disgusting out dated 80s glasses. Food was cold,soggy and unpleasant to eat. Salad tasted like it was 3 days old. Service was very slow and unorganised. I would not recommend this place very over priced for no reason, food was disgusting and not fresh do not recommend.

As always, excellent food. Large portions which would be good value at full price (we got the January 50% deal). The only downside was the service, which was slow. 20 minutes after sitting down to order a main course, and no-one came to clear after the main, so we didn't have time for dessert. I imagine this was because the restaurant was full, presumably due to the special offer. A shame, but we'll definitely be back.

Great food and beer near the canal

Went for my son’s birthday. Had been recommended by friends and so glad we went. The food was superb and the staff could not do enough for us. Great atmosphere too. Definitely recommend and will be back for sure

Are here earlier in year, foods overpriced. Service is poor. Like a youth club!

Only went for food, but everything our group had looked top dollar. Portions pretty generous and tasted lovely. Only drawback was that small dishes of mixed veg were supposed to be for 2 people but were only enough for one person, butu77 extra veg was available. Would definitely recommend for eating out. I understand their speciality is greek food.

We drove up to the Bubble In from Portsmouth to be close to our daughter for a weekend. Our room was beautiful, the bathroom was even better. Roll top bath and walk in huge shower too. The food in the evening was absolutely gorgeous and very good value too, for 4 people eating a 3 course meal each, was just over £100 including drinks. Breakfast was perfect and really tasty, good size too,, all cooked by the lovely friendly Tracey, thanks Tracey, remember Tracey, we are from Portsmouth, NOT London hahahahaha. The area too was stunning, we spent ages watching the lock fill up with a barge in it, amazing. We will definitely stay at the Bubble Inn again, every time we visit our daughter.

A lovely lunch with family. We all had Greek kebabs and they were delicious. They looked after my gluten free needs too.

At the door, we noticed the board which said Tuesday night is "Pie Night", with many different pies. Unusually for pub grub, plenty of veg too. We were shown to our table by a young and friendly waitress, though she showed us to the noisiest seat in the entire restaurant. Right underneath the speaker playing music, and right next to a really loud table of 6 foreign men. I asked if we could sit somewhere quieter, and wondered if she would show us to somewhere in the deserted bar area. But we were only given the choice of somewhere in the much smaller and noisier restaurant. So we chose what we considered the table furthest away from the noise, and the waitress said she would turn down the music. Meanwhile, the 6 foreign men continued making more noise than was necessary in such an empty establishment. We both ordered our pies, and another waitress brought them over to us. She held up the steak and ale pie, which I gestured towards my wife, as that's what she had ordered. And then she said "Steak and stilton?" and I gestured that this was mine. The food looked delicious. Nice looking pie, plenty of broccoli, peas, carrots, and even kale too. And the icing on the cake? Triple cooked chips. Fantastic. Only trouble was, the waitress had got the pies mixed up, as my wife had been given the steak & stilton pie by mistake. We simply swapped our plates over and continued to tuck in, and the meal was really delicious. We would highly recommend The Bubble Inn to our friends, especially on Tuesday's Pie Night. We also recommend some more training for the table staff, to ensure they put the correct meal on the table in the correct place. Also, the table top felt unpleasantly sticky. A common problem in pubs, I know, but tables in the restaurant should be given a higher priority for resurfacing, such that this doesn't become sticky.

Very quiet on a Thursday early evening but what a find! The Greek slant on the smash burger was so tasty and I had a selection of grilled meats and kebabs with triple cooked chips. The food was really excellent, served promptly and staff were nice

Recently had my daughters surprise 30th birthday meal..even though the bar staff let it slip to my daughter when she arrived it was a lovely evening

Nice place have been before but this was the 1st time for food, 4 stars for now because I want to go again & hopefully raise to 5, as for the food & the staff both were great, the food is very filling we had a sharer starter & a main, we couldn't finish the main & couldn't face desert, the location next to the canal is lovely (don't forget to enter your registration number if your driving yourself) if I was being picky about the location I would mention how part of the immediate area is a bit industrial with units which is a shame but hey ho can't have it always can we, looking forward to calling in again soon.

First time going i just went in for a drink and to say hi to a friend as it was their birthday

Food was fantastic (and large!), good choice of beer as well. Lovely setting in doors and outside with entertainment (it was a Friday). Right on the canal pathway.

Just stopped off for a pint and happend to be greek night. Had a vegan kebab and was delicious, watched it all be cooked outside on the grill, and very tasty indeed. First time at pub despite living locally for 3 years, so will definitely be visiting again.

Warm welcome when we entered. Food was lovely ... The sour cherry cheesecake is a must! Out waitress Alice was fantastic! She had a brilliant interaction with us all and really made the visit more enjoyable.... Well done Alice your pudding construction was ace!!!

I have been to the bubble on a few occasions and the bar staff are friendly and accommodating.

Stayed for 2 nights in the hotel.beutiful room. Fabulous breakfast .had a greek meal both nights and was as good as a terverna in Greece. They do the usual menu too and they looked really good too. Particularly loved the staff.they were so nice. Special mention to Amanda who works her socks off but always with a smile. Will definitely be back .

We were deciding on an evening meal as a family and I’ve not visited the Bubble for a very long time. It was a choice of The Bubble or Ragley Boat stop, however The Bubble had better reviews. We were welcomed by Josh, super friendly, professional, impeccable service, Josh was amazing! The food came in good time, all the meals were fantastic, the drinks were great the service was second to none! Thank you Josh and Thank you to the Bubble for a great evening. 💫

We booked a table for a family lunch for 8 people, Amanda was very helpful, we had a great table. The food was lovely, they went out of their way to accommodate my partner with his meal choice. The service was amazing and we will definitely be back next time we're in the area

Festive menu lacking. No salmon, festive burger no brie available and game pie was non existent, got offered steak and ale. Would be better if they focused on what they were offering and made sure product was in stock. Couldn't fault Grace, she was apologetic and attentive. Front of house shouldn't have to bear the brunt of mismanagement. Bad experience this evening. 22/06/2024, tonight went back, the spartacus kebab has changed, meat more flavourful however no longer a kebab, meat with flatbread on side. Moussaka was OK. Pizzas were nice and burgers were enjoyed.

Things have taken a turn for the worse here. The choice isn't particularly great. The food came out way too quickly. The quality of the food wasn't too bad my lamb chops were over, and the chips were under. Won't be returning any time soon. Avoid

We managed to find a last minute table available for Fathers Day after many other places were booked up. On arrival we had a drink outside before being shown to our table on the 2nd floor, we were given menus and sat and waited .. and waited for somebody to take our order, in the end I went downstairs assuming it may not be table service, for somebody to apologise that they were busy and she would come and take our order (although most tables were empty). After placing our order and getting our food delivered we realised many of our meals were missing items off the menu such as flat bread with the kebab and salad with the burger but nevertheless it was filling and there was nobody around to ask anyway. Part way through our meal some staff came and sat near us to eat, sneaking a crafty vape whilst sat at the table, they left. We sat and waited.. and waited to be given a desert menu which never arrived and neither were our plates taken. We in the end decided to leave and paid on the way out. Food OK, service terrible.

First visit to this establishment and i was impressed with the whole experience, I had the mad Greek as the main and the Cypriot sausage as a starter, both delicious. I dined with 3 others and their meals looked great too. Would highly recommend and would most definitely go again

Food was lovely, desserts even better, but service was so terribly slow. We weren’t given menus on sitting down and then had to wait around 20 minutes for someone to take orders/take plates. The staff were not rushing around either, we were sat with empty plates for 20 minutes while 2 servers cleaned a table behind us.

The meal I had was very greasy, I didn't enjoy it. The service was good and it was a nice place. I would not go again.
