Festive menu lacking. No salmon, festive burger no brie available and game pie was non existent, got offered steak and ale. Would be better if they focused on what they were offering and made sure product was in stock. Couldn't fault Grace, she was apologetic and attentive. Front of house shouldn't have to bear the brunt of mismanagement. Bad experience this evening. 22/06/2024, tonight went back, the spartacus kebab has changed, meat more flavourful however no longer a kebab, meat with flatbread on side. Moussaka was OK. Pizzas were nice and burgers were enjoyed.

Things have taken a turn for the worse here. The choice isn't particularly great. The food came out way too quickly. The quality of the food wasn't too bad my lamb chops were over, and the chips were under. Won't be returning any time soon. Avoid

We managed to find a last minute table available for Fathers Day after many other places were booked up. On arrival we had a drink outside before being shown to our table on the 2nd floor, we were given menus and sat and waited .. and waited for somebody to take our order, in the end I went downstairs assuming it may not be table service, for somebody to apologise that they were busy and she would come and take our order (although most tables were empty). After placing our order and getting our food delivered we realised many of our meals were missing items off the menu such as flat bread with the kebab and salad with the burger but nevertheless it was filling and there was nobody around to ask anyway. Part way through our meal some staff came and sat near us to eat, sneaking a crafty vape whilst sat at the table, they left. We sat and waited.. and waited to be given a desert menu which never arrived and neither were our plates taken. We in the end decided to leave and paid on the way out. Food OK, service terrible.

First visit to this establishment and i was impressed with the whole experience, I had the mad Greek as the main and the Cypriot sausage as a starter, both delicious. I dined with 3 others and their meals looked great too. Would highly recommend and would most definitely go again

Food was lovely, desserts even better, but service was so terribly slow. We weren’t given menus on sitting down and then had to wait around 20 minutes for someone to take orders/take plates. The staff were not rushing around either, we were sat with empty plates for 20 minutes while 2 servers cleaned a table behind us.

We love going to The Bubble Inn when we're over that way. The service is very good and lovely staff. Food is beautiful. And a nice walk by the canal before

This is one of the nicest places to eat ive been in, in a long time The food was unexpected and delicious. So fresh. Will definitely recommend and go again soon

The meal I had was very greasy, I didn't enjoy it. The service was good and it was a nice place. I would not go again.

We're local to the pub and absolutely love coming here for food. HOWEVER, the vegetarian food leaves a lot to be desired. They removed the vegan pastry option from the Sunday dinner which was very disappointing. Also, the benches outside certainly need replacing! Some are riddled with green mould and with missing panels. Other than that, great service and plenty of seating inside and outside.

Had such a lovely time here and there was a live band!

Very disappointed. I looked on the website at the menu and all looked good. We booked a table and when we arrived the menu was different and all of the prices had been hiked up, they do a kebab night on a Wednesday, promoted online at £11.95 then when we arrived the price was £15. Now I know it's only a few quid but how unprofessional can you get no wonder the place was empty, on this I would not recommend this place as that is a very sneaky way to rip people off shame on you.

We had the greeky blinder board, which was a sharing platter for 2/3. Everything was amazing. There was nothing we had any issues with. Of course, there was a bit of room for dessert! The tiramsu cheesecake was a lovely way to finish the meal. We'll definitely be returning!

Amazing atmosphere, amazing owner Connie. I been coming her with my family and friends since it first opened in 2009. I go there every week, it’s my go to place. No matter how I’m feeling. The place and its surroundings cheers me up. Connie has created such a beautiful environment for everyone from all walks of life. It’s very diverse and that’s what makes it special. I would 💯 % recommend everyone to visit it and try the amazing food. Best wishes Samiara

Lovely atmosphere and great staff

The first time I came for father's day was amazing. This time not great at all. Meat was dry on carvery. Lamb portion was not even a mouthful, the veg was no where near as nice. Not flavours. I'll give it 1 more try when the owner is hear again see. Staff where amazing though.

We went here during Christmas time. Place was cosy, well decorated with lights and christmas trees. Meniu was amazing! I ordered Christmas dinner, it was super deliciuos! Really reccommend to visit this place

My best friend and I ended up at The Bubble Inn, after visiting two other pubs prior. We were lucky that it wasn't busy at all, considering it was a Saturday night, so was able to find a parking space more or less straight away and were spoilt for choice with tables. We had a few drinks and decided to have a look at their menu, which had a range of things to choose from. In the end, we went for one of their kebabs called "The Mad Greek". After some time we were both greeted with our meals, presented wonderfully with plenty of Greek Salad and meat, all sitting upon a warm and soft pitta/flatbread The meat was super juicy and tender, combined with the tsatziki dip and salad, along with the chunky chips made for something delicious indeed! A really filling meal with great service from the staff at the bar. It was a tad chilly in there, which is in no way a complaint but a mere observation. Might have been because normally, there's more people in the pub than there was that night. In all fairness, the staff did get a fire going. But a lovely experience, and would enjoy coming here again for a few drinks and something to eat. 😊👍🏻

Can't fault the chefs, the food we had was amazing. After we finished our main, we asked for a dessert menu which took a while to arrive, we ordered after a while if waiting to see a server again, and after around 40 minutes of waiting for some churros we had to ask them to be taken off the bill as they hadn't started them yet, and we paid and left. We were in here for just over 3 hours and we only ended up having 1 course. They took our diet cokes off as an apology but still, don't think we'll be back.

Ok but slow service and slightly over priced bed food reduce the appeal. Food is good though.

Went for lunch. Food amazing, had kebabs and souvlaki. Later had Mad Greek, amazing...chicken souvlaki, pork gyro, lamb kebab, halloumi on a flatbread. Delicious.

You gotta visit. Adequate parking, excellent feel as you enter, plenty of seating for just drinking or having a meal. Staff were excellent and despite limited staff numbers service was very prompt and efficient. Both meat and halloumi kebabs were excellent, portion size good. Moussaka was good and very well received. 4 real ales on, although the Bass was a little disappointing. Will definitely be back.

Had the Greek buffet and it was delicious. Great value. Great ambience.

It's Xmas and there was very little festive atmosphere. Stay were polite and knowledgeable

It's a nice place to chill. We had a couple of pints and watched a narrowboat get craned out of the canal from the beer garden. Couldn't ask for more in a dull afternoon. Pub seemed nice, staff were friendly. Would happily go again and try their food next time I'm in the area!

Really enjoyed our meal here. We were given a nice quiet spot which was perfect for us as we were catching up with family. Service was great, really attentive and we weren't rushed about when we wanted to take our time. Biggest star of the night was the food. Fresh and meaty portion of fish, crusty well-filled pies and all bursting with flavour... well done guys. If I still lived near Derby I'd be back again pretty soon.

We visited the Bubble for a meal last week and loved the Greedy Greek platter. Such good value for the amount of food and all delicious. We will definitely be returning 😊

Very expensive but a very nice setting

Had a nice meal with my partner and our girls and we all opted for a pizza each. The portion sizes were great, and I can say that it was some of the beat pizza I've ever had! Everyone was full and happy with their food. Couldn't ask for more!

I went here after my mum's funeral I ordered the steak and chips with Stilton sauce and let me tell you all this was the best meal in my life I have ever had from any place.i couldn't get enough off it.the staff are absolutely lovely kind caring people and I'm proud off how they treat people. The manager and owners should be very proud off there staff and self's 👏 well done to you all and take care (From a ex chef) 10 out of 10 for everything you lot do.xxxx

A great location with variety of options for beer and food. Good atmosphere with beer garden service as well. A good place for meet-up with friends. The service is bit slow but you expect that because everything is freshly made.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would absolutely shocking establishment. For one after we got seated it toulk 30 minutes before we were even offered drinks let alone food the wait times were appalling and to say how long it toulk go make I would have atleast hoped the food would be warm but oh I was very wrong I had ordered steak personally and it came under cooked I'd asked for my steak welldone but it was rare still pink in the middle and blood dripping from it absolute disgrace the only thing I would give to the so called Inn is how clean It was on the outside I would say inside but the tables were sticky and bits of old food still on the cutlery. Will never be going back and advise you don't either!

Everything was horrible. The meat wasnt cooked bare in mind the place wasnt even that busy. The atmosphere was off. Everything was telling me the place wasnt up to its health code

When we got our food after waiting for 50 minutes. It was COLD and had dead FLIES and HAIR in it. Would not recommend the only thing they could do correct was make drinks. Not coming back

Beautiful day so walked along the canal to The Bubble for some food but the kitchen didn't open until 5.00pm bit disappointed but we will go back. Had a drink and walked back

Lovely place! We went here for the Greek night (Thursdays) & it was fantastic. Authentic Greek food & plenty to choose from. Played Greek music which added to the atmosphere😍 Will definitely go again. Great value for money £15 a head & you can eat as much as you want!! Friendly helpful staff too.

This is honestly the best chicken kebab meal I've ever tasted.. chicken tender and tasty, I had an extra Greek salad instead of the chips. Will be returning next week.. excellent 👍

Great food and beer near the canal

This place changed hands some time ago and I was unaware that the food served here was now Greek . If you want a steak,they only serve Ribeye. The mixed grill is made up of small skewers of meat. Sorry but I preferred the old menu.

Liked the place, good selection of beers and the food was great.

The hotel was nice, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was great. The only issue was a dirty towel in the room and the TV in the room didn't work. It was convenient for going to the download festival but working facilities would have made it better.

Been here a few times and it’s lovely, the service was alright, food was good, and atmosphere was good too. I recommend the burger and pork kebabs! Portions are also quite big so if you take starters maybe share them. I will go back for sure!

Went for a meal this evening 28/4/23 , awful quality , awful service, we paid n left , I messaged them to let them know , that we weren’t impressed by tonight and the response was a thumbs up !!! Very mature , certainly wouldn’t recommend or return. Do yourself a favour and visit a local kebab shop , more flavour, cheaper ,and probably better service too !
