Great pub in Stokesly went there because its in n.v the good beer guide and you can see why good range of beers. Dogs welcome and they have live music at night. Doesnt do food but there are loads of places around. Higjly recommend a visit for a pint or more.

What a superb pub. Friendly. Lovely atmosphere. Great beers. Conversation with the brewer at Captain Cook's Brewery and some fantastic beer recommendations to boot. Absolutely brilliant. Cannot sing this places praises enough. Apparently they have live music on an evening too. If I could give it 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I absolutely would. One of the best pubs I have been in in recent years, if not ever. I can't wait to go back and try some more great beers and have some more craic. Been in several times since the new initial review and the place is always friendly and has a great rotation of ales.

The best pub in the town by far! Great friendly atmosphere! Dog friendly! Lovely sun trap beer garden! Beers brewed on site! I can recommend 'Endeavour!' They don't do food but there are plenty of other places you can eat! Just make sure you have a pint or 3 here!

Nice old fashioned, cosy and friendly pub. Well priced drinks. Dartboard available. Real fire 🔥. Children only allowed in til 5pm.

Cosy bar in the attractive market town of Stokesley with a good selection of real ales, a warm fire in winter, and a friendly welcome. Well-behaved dogs welcome. There is a small but sheltered and recently refurbished beer garden to the back. Regular guest hand-pulled ales but can always recommend the Slipway. Popular with the locals. Drink and crisps/peanuts only - no food.

A gem of a pub which I have frequented for a number of years when I'm in the area. What I'd call a 'cozy pub', real fire with a great selection of real ales and beers and a joy to be in.

Great little spot really nice feel to it was there around christmas so was a shame about the once a yearers making a racket but the pub its self was lovely

Great little pub, no longer serves food but I don't blame them, I bet its a massive effort! Came to watch F1, had a few drinks and the lovely lady working there brought my dog a bowl of water! Lovely staff, chilled local atmosphere, good prices!

This is a lovely pub. A good drinking pub with nice selection of beers including their own brews. Nice fire on and enjoyable drinking ambiance. Open mic on Tues, quiz night on Wed. Live music on sometimes. No food just good beer.

Proper real ale pub. Made to feel very welcome when we entered and the bar staff were very polite and helpful. There was a roaring log fire going and the locals were friendly and chatty. The choice of beers on the bar were good and well kept. I'll be going back for more 🍻

If you visit Stokesley you must visit this bub. Great real ale bar, welcoming fire, fantastic ambience and Emily is a credit to the team and went over and above to be helpful. We look forward to returning.

Great beer as always. Emily and team are doing a fantastic job of running the pub in such difficult circumstances. The beer is as good as always and now the introduction of a ‘substantial meal’ is also very good and reasonably priced. The pub is bustling and busy but completely under control and a COVID safe environment. A real credit to the land lady and her staff. Thanks for another good evening.

Best pub around, great atmosphere, really friendly clientele, staff are very professional and always make you feel welcome. Excellent selection of drinks especially the real ales that are brewed on the premises, (My favorite is the Slipway) good selection of international lagers etc. Good old fashioned English pub with roaring fire and footie, what more could you ask for.

Got the 28 a Arriva bus from Middlesbrough bus station to Stokesley £14 for a family ticket which lasts all day on any Arriva bus in the North East from as far as Scarborough to Carlisle to Bamburgh after Stokesley we then went to Redcar good day out nice little market town swing park at the back of South Road for the little ones

Old and cosy, can try different beers or larger before choosing your drink, which I think is great, left my hand bag by mistake, went back and it had been handed in, so releaved.

Just love visiting this pub. Friendly bar staff that compliments their choice of draughts ales. Especially the cider.

Over priced and overrated tried to watch football and one of the yokels kept messing about with channels. Nothing special at all.

Really nice cosy pub. Atmosphere feels like a "regulars" pub, but provided your fairly down-to-earth or have a dry sense of humour, it's a great place for a beer. Has weekly music nights and quiz nights, too!
