The White Lion in Melton

I was here for lunch, and I had the smoked salmon salad and chicken bites. Both were incredible and so full of flavour, and that's not even taking into account the huge portion sizes! The service was quick, friendly, and attentive too. I'm already looking forward to my next visit - compliments to the chef and bar staff for a great lunch!

Popped in for food at lunchtime when visiting for the day..food was exceptional. Decor a little plain felt a bit sparse and maybe catering more to drinkers..but would recommend the food.

Went here for the burger night and all 3 of us had different burgers with different sides. Everything was so delicious and the portion sizes were super generous ❤️ Can't wait to try the rest of their menu when they open.

Visited the white lion which was great to see under new management, the refurbishment looks fab and staff couldn’t have been more attentive. It’s a great atmosphere and a food menu coming soon which I can’t wait to try!

Visited the White Lion for a bottomless brunch event. The venue was clean, the staff were friendly and the drinks were lovely. The venue was also decorated very nicely for the event and the tunes were banging. The food given was presented nicely and tasted delish. My only complaint would be that I did not see any cutlery for those who wanted the pulled pork without the bun but not going to knock a star off the review for something as minor as that. Whether for an event or just hanging out for a pint in the afternoon, I would highly recommend going to the White Lion.

£8 for a pint & half of John Smith’s, dearest pub in town…avoid

Called in on Saturday for a quick beverage. It was lovely to see a ramp to access the venue in my wheelchair. However, once in the pub, there was a step to be navigated to buy a drink. Luckily, as there were 3 able-bodied people with me, I still got my drink. We sat outside with my assistance dog Ralph. There was a bowl of water available for dogs to use. Everywhere seemed tidy, both inside and out. It was very quiet, just like the rest of Melton Mowbray at 3 pm. on a Saturday afternoon. Nice drinks, tidy venue, reasonably priced.

Recently opened, lovely new refurbished venue. Huge beer garden and kid friendly. Pool tables and darts, excellent beer and cocktails. Food serving is coming soon.

Long long waiting times for drinks. Only 2 on the bar on busy night, I'd put that down to bad management as the staff are working hard and are always polite. The DJ spends more time talking over the songs then actually playing them, combined with terrible beat matching to make an audible experience that is almost unbearable. The don't call it the 'white' lion for nothing. I would also like to add that the response from this organisation is shameful, trying to slander my review with a false accusation. I was not in this weekend, nor have I ever encountered a problem within your establishment. Tried to talk to the owner but he refused. Dead dead dead.

Very good pub with a nice outdoor seating arera and good beer prices and also thanks for the port itvwebt down well our Stilton cheese picnic

I held a surprise 30th birthday at The white Lion at the end of November. They were very accommodating and we were given the section at the back privately which is known as The Lions Den. They gave all guest a wrist band so we just had our guests in our area. They were helpful with letting me go in early to set up and decorate the room. They asked if there was any particular music we would like for the party. Very helpful staff and great location for a party. Highly recommend.

A spacious bar serving a good range of beers and lagers.

this place is well worth a visit we were only staying across at Premier Inn so was our first time. very clean venue very nice set up with pleasant staff.
