Clubhouse restaurant in Melton

Been three times in the last month for an evening meal. Experience has been consistent. Lovely friendly staff, although a little stretched. Good selection on the menu which should please most people and most things are great value. I can vouch for the fish and chips, lasagne , lamb shank and burgers as being very tasty and good portion size. On some evenings a free pudding is included. The puddings are all cold puddings in a chilled cabinet where you help yourself. On our last visit you could sense the pudding anxiety across some of the bigger tables with nervous glances from diners during their main courses to check what puddings were left. Some scurried off to grab their desired desserts during their mains and some had more than one. Quite funny to watch but personally I'd suggest they keep the puddings in the kitchen and serve one per person.

Always a great meal here 😋. Service is efficient and polite . Nice ambience.

I went to the Clubhouse Restaurant on Friday with my family and we had a wonderful meal. They offer a diverse menu at great prices. The atmosphere is nice, and the staff are very friendly. The barman is very sociable and serves a lovely pint of Parish Bitter. In summary, it's a hidden gem that I definitely recommend. Chef, 'excelente'!

Really nice food and so reasonably priced. The trifle desert is definitely worth trying. Staff very pleasant, tables nicely laid and not crowded so a very pleasant lunch.

AVOID AVOID AVOID! Christmas Day dinner was an absolute shambles! Prawn cocktail looked like a pile of cat sick on a plate with 2 triangles of bread slapped on each side. Main course was a carvery which by just after 1pm had run out of turkey, pigs in blankets and some veg. The managers answer to this was “well it is a carvery”. What was left was swimming in grease, roast potatoes were white and greasy, brussels were rock hard, gravy had solidified! Manager was rude and would not take any responsibility or offer any resolution just poked his fingers in our meal (nice man) Absolutely zero atmosphere and lights being switched off to get rid of us. Save your money and cook at home this was the worst meal ever! The manager (I say that in the loosest of terms) did not offer any resolution and has continuously ignored our emails/letters of complaint. What happened to ‘the customer is always right?’ ZERO STARS ⭐️ ON ALL ASPECTS!! Take no notice of this review at your peril!

Right where do i start with this review,the food that was served up on Christmas day was unacceptable and disappointing to say the least, the starter i had was a prawn cocktail that looked like it had been thrown on the plate ,Brussels were mini golf balls and peas were like bullets ,can't comment on the gravy Because the gravy was the dregs in the bottom of the tin so I didn't have any, the turkey had run out and the owner said "its a carvery ,carveries run out"!! What on Christmas Day?!! The owner didn't seem bothered About his customer comments about the quality of the food he served, and spoilt what was supposed to be a special day!

We use the Clubhouse restaurant as a regular venue for family get-together. Never had a problem with the quality of the food, and the service is always good. Drinks are reasonably priced at the bar, and the facilities are always clean. There is also a Sunday buffet style lunch on offer, but we have not tried this yet. Medi and his team offer a reliable and good value for money service.

We only went to show our regards to my cousin family after his passing

Disappointed, we've been many times before and enjoyed our visit. This time however we were disappointed. Firstly we did not get what we ordered, the waitress then went to check with the chef who didn't have our correct order, no apology was offered. Then we sat waiting for our plates to be cleared and asked if we wanted dessert. This did not happen even though we were only one of two tables in the restaurant at that time with at least 4 waiting staff. The food we had had was nice but the whole evening was let down by the poor service.

Everytime we go, the staff are brilliant, the waiting time isn't long and the food is excellent. It's a very relaxing place to eat, and an ideal quiet spot for a date.

It's a real affordable treat for my daughter and I, please make the roast potatoes crispy and make the mash less lumpy. Thank you

Excellent food ,Sunday lunch to die for.

Left an hour after ordering the food as there was still no sign of any food arriving. A similar thing happened before covid, we did eventually get the food but it was awful.

Good selection of food. Always comes hot . Friendly staff. Went again this evening and had a really enjoyable meal again

Arrived do experience the Bowls Club restaurant for the first time, and on entry, there were flower pots full of cigarettes and it stunk like a ashtray inside the doors. I turned back with disappointment. Not a lovely welcome.

Good wholesome carvery with generous portions of meat at a competitive price. Fast efficient friendly service. Check for carvery days. Never disappointed at this venue in pleasant surroundings.

Located in the Indoor lawn green bowls club, the restaurant is open for Lunch and Dinner. We had a Carvery and pudding for £13.50. Food is OK, veg was fresh and a good choice there were 4 meats to choose from. Service was great, but lacked any atmosphere.

Very very quick service. Food was good. Nice place, very friendly people.

I was recently recommend for Sunday lunch. Thinking this was the perfect place for a family Sunday lunch. How wrong I was. The poor selection of over cooked meats and vegetables was embarrassing. Cheer it up with some gravy.... Pure salt. Ok if you haven't many teeth, didn't take any effort chewing.

Great carvery Fab food super price

Have been here twice for food and both times have been disappointed. The first time was for a carvery and the vegetables were lukewarm and watery and just not pleasant. We tried again last night and went at 6.30, ordered starters which were ok. Shortly after about 40 people came in for Christmas meals. After a bit of a wait our meals (Not Christmas meals) were brought out. The only positive was they were piping hot. My partner and I ordered bacon and cheese burgers and chips. They chips were ok however the burger wasn't. It tasted like it had been fried in oil that had been left in the pan too long. We only ate about a quarter of it. My sister in law had BBQ chicken that was absolutely swimming in sauce, there was just way too much that it was overpowering. Once we finished we were sat waiting for our plates to be cleared and order a dessert in the hopes they were better. However after 15 minutes of waiting, due to the staff (there was only 3 waiters on) dealing with all the customers having Christmas meals, we just paid and left. You get what you pay for, but I won't be going again.

A large party of us we were really well looked after the food really good .Good value for money .
