The pub is ideally situated at the end of a long walk over the trail, so went in for a couple beers and a bite to eat. Lovely cosy pub plenty of tables and a fireplace near the bar, where there’s also a wishing well with a pot of coins to use to make your wish came true, great for the kids and adults alike. Plenty of wind spirits and ales/beers on offer as well as a bar menu, separate to the main menu. The only “grip” we had was the menu offered a range of “paninis,” but what was served were 7”narrow French sticks, (the type you get in Lidl, not Sainsbury’s), done in a griddle press. Think we should have been told this before ordering.

Lovely Pub in Baldock. We attended Balstock which was very busy all pubs were busy this Pub was the same. Staff attentive and friendly and the service was very good.

Only saw it as part of Balstock, so don't know what it's normally like. But service was fine.

Pleasant and friendly place, but I went in because it appeared on a Google search list of "CAMRA pubs near me" not a real ale in sight. The Staropramen was suitably cold and fizzy

Wanted to play a game of pool. Yellow ball was missing. After checking the holes and asking bar staff if they had a spare (still couldn't find missing yellow ball) we played anyway. After our games, a member of the public wanted to play after us. He had taken the yellow ball and laughed when we said there was one yellow ball missing. He then replied "I know, I took it and pulled yellow ball out of his pocket" his name is Jimmy.

Great. The bar staff were superb. The customers were in time singing. Everyone was having a great time. Don't come here if you want a quiet, boring pub.

Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Rather disappointed at the real choice , only 1 on and that I can say was the worst pint I'd ever had. Staff were apologetic and happy to change it though

Not bad, if you like a buzzing atmosphere on Saturday night then it's worth a visit. Music is loud and there is variety from all walks of life at this pub.
