as a regular visitor I find the hotel excellent

Third time I've stayed here, price is very reasonable as it includes breakfast. Ideally located for my purposes.

Went for a carvery but wasn't too impressed seems in my opinion gone down in quality and the service charge is high for bringing two drinks over . I wouldn't be in a rush to return.

Always a friendly welcome and service is good. Rooms are clean but a little dated.

The rooms were a little dated but clean; there were a few niggles with our particular room, such as there were no plug sockets near the bed (unfortunate as I need a heated pad for my back and I couldn't plug it in), the room despite having a fan the room was very hot. Also, the lift was out of order. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was lovely and fresh, on the whole it was value for money.

the room was lovely. Nice comfy bed. I had to leave too early to enjoy a full breakfast but the kitchen staff did make me an excellent bacon buttie to take away

The hotel looks lovely from the outside, but inside it looks tired and in some desperate need for some TLC. The lift looked like it had been out of service for sometime and no sign of getting fixed anytime soon, this meant having to carry bags to two flights of stairs. The rooms themselves clean but tired looking, the bathroom had plumbing Issues, taps at sink spluttering and the shower was really bad, cold and difficult to use. The bar areas are ok and staff helpful. The breakfast was very unappealing. The buffet was not stocked up properly, had to ask for plates and glasses, more fried eggs. Literally struggling to find staff to help address these Issues. The breakfast area was not kept clean and staff were eating from the buffet while on duty. I wouldn’t stay here again too many things disappointing to consider it again. Needs a good overhaul and improvements across the board

The rooms at the hotel were really quite tired. The first room we went in which was a twin room, one of the beds had a big dip in the middle, not ideal for my husband who can suffer back pain. We were upgraded with no fuss to a 'better'twin room. The beds were fine in this room but the windows were filthy. The general overall impression of the room was shabby. The shower needed quite a bit of fiddling around with to get the temperature right and it felt under pressured so not a particularly enjoyable experience. Towels nice and white/fluffy. Buffet breakfast at the weekend was plentiful. If you are a non meat eater then fruit and toast was good. There is a small pod coffee machine in the room. Staff were always helpful. Location central and private parking available which is always a bonus

The lady who checked us in, and then moved her car so we could fit in the car park, demonstrated wonderful customer service. It was brief but satisfying stay.

The staff were all friendly and helpful which gave the hotel a welcoming atmosphere. Service was good, the food was good - we particularly enjoyed the granola bowls at breakfast. We shall visit again when in the area.

Check in great although bar staff couldn’t be bothered to serve, young chap. Room was shocking … stains on chair … bed not made correctly Decent price

Great stay - really liked hotel and staff were exceptional. Rooms of a good standard when I consider what I paid for my stay. Would definitely recommend The Broadway. Only comment I would make is room was a little bit noisy with being on the front street and sash windows did let quite a lot of this noise through. Other than that excellent value for money with a good breakfast included and good menu options in the restaurant. Thank you.

Could do with a bit tlc otherwise we had a great stay, staff were lovely and polite we will stay again when in the area

Room was nice, twin room, good facilities and very comfy beds. The only downside was there was some sort of marathon on and the hotel was hq so there was intermittent clapping and cheering all night, if I'd known about it I would have brought earplugs. Hense only 4* prior notification would have prepared me .

We enjoyed staying here. Have been guests here several times and liked the the breakfast menu. Very convenient location next to the station. Will stay there again. Thank you to the hotel team.

Meet with family , Early evening , plumped for carvery, but was disappointed. Very undercooked Brussels, meat was very dry , gammon very salty. Yorksires very dry , Priced too high for amount on standard smallish plates. And service charged added on without it being pointed out it was on bill .

Good service nice food think it may take a while for the staff to get to grips with the new till system!

Room 106 is right by a noisy extractor or compressor serving the kitchen which ran on and off through the night. We arrived at 21:45 and had to be away by 05:30 having got little sleep or rest. The place is dated and it definately is not worth £95.00. Booking.com have over glamorised it as ever.

Had a lovely experience, staff are so friendly and helpful, Restaurant is lovely great food. Rooms are comfortable, a plug nearer the bed would have been good to charge phone etc. would definitely stay again

My wife & sister-in-law stayed with you for six days, it was a visit to see a relation who lived nearby. They were most impressed with the location/service/meals presented, the carvery was a big hit with them all. Room was a nice size, there was a problem with one of the room attendants, but it was no big deal.

Room was very small but nothing g wrong with it. top floor so very hot - fan needed. bed was comfortable.

Great stay, my son was auditioning at Emil Dale and its in a great location. Staff nice and helpful.

Good location, easy walking distance to the town. Rooms were cold, noisy and dated. They provide a small heater for the room but this wasn't enough. Single pane windows so you can hear everything outside. Dinner wasn't amazing. Id put the evening food on par with Wetherspoons which is around the corner if you want to save money. Breakfast was actually better. Good portions and not overpriced. The staff were friendly and helpful enough and beers on bar were better than other pubs. Probably won't stay again.

Went for Sunday carvery for a family birthday.

We stayed at the hotel for a weekend (2 nights) to meet up with family and friends and really enjoyed our stay. We ate in the restaurant Friday evening and highly recommend the Chefs Hungarian Goulash. It was the tastiest meal we'd had for a long time!!!! The service was good too, very friendly staff. We had breakfast both mornings too. The full English and eggs Benedict were delicious with generous portions. Lots of tea and coffee available too. Check-in was straight forward and very informative, we didn't have any questions. The hotel is ideally placed in Letchworth, only a few minutes walk from the train station which proved very handy over our weekend. We really enjoyed our stay and will stay again in the future.

Room was above kitchen, extractor fans going on and off all day and night , 7.00 am jet washing staff very noisy, room was clean , shower difficult to regulate it was either to hot or scalding hot, staff were all friendly breakfast was huge , breakfast staff helpful and friendly, good parking except mothers day other than that no problem, ideal hotel for centre and train station. .

We held the funeral wake for my mum in the Downtown Grill. The staff were very helpful and everything went smoothly. The food was great and everyone was very complimentary. Thank you all.

My daughter and I enjoyed our meals very much. The food was cooked well and hot. Our server was professional throughout. She didn’t make us feel welcome, she never smiled or try to engage us with any light conversation. She did her job and nothing more. Hence the score of 3 stars.

Oh my gosh what an amazing place top class very friendly and helpful and polite I would advise anyone to visit very clean very friendly place unfortunately the last night I couldn't sleep because staff was talking very loud outside unfortunately I opened the window because I was hot I wish I didn't but apart from that it was a great place to stay

We had a problem with our room and the staff were very service minded and efficient in how they handled it.

Service is brilliant and cleanliness, staff always helpful and friendly. Breakfast was lovely. Only problem was the shower head kept slipping down and water was cold.

Didn't stay in the hotel, but went to the Downtown Bar and Grill for a meal. Good food and good service. It was "Steak Night" so there was a discount (which was nice).

Very friendly and welcoming upon arrival and bar food very good. Comfortable room with TV, tea and coffee inc a Nespresso machine. Slight let down was the in-bath shower which was a little on the cold side (but we were up early along with many others at the same time). The breakfast was cooked fresh and there was a choice of cereals, fruit and toast. Tea, coffee and juice.

Good food, good service, good location- massively let diwn by the dirty, grotty room. Also no clear signage of where reception/ check in is (check in at the bar). Worlds smallest lift - felt like i was taking my life in my hands- used stairs after that! Cheap but grubby.

An excellent valentine meal at the Broadway Hotel. Great food and service along with live music made for a very special evening. Loved the sharing plates for our staters and dessert.

Went for a carvery with family, one of us didn’t have the carvery so got a 2 minute warning to say go get carvery as meal coming out soon…we should have got 20 mins warning. It was a slow queue, half of party got there’s then staff member let two people in front of rest of us and chef disappeared. The food was warm and we’d all finished at different stages. Chef needed help and to add a service charge of £17 on at end is a cheek! Won’t be visiting again anytime soon!

Great staff great food and comfortable rooms i a nice location

Really good carvery, nice to see a really busy pub but felt the bar staff were not so customer focused as the wait for drinks was very lengthy. Staff were more than aware you were waiting to be served but minimal acknowledgement from them. Other than that, hot and plentiful food on offer, huge choice and I think there were at least 4 meats on the carvery as well so what's not to like.

Great value rooms, central location near the station, coffee machines and kettle in each room. Excellent breakfast included in the room rate. Super clean, great staff and friendly service. Very flexible with room bookings.

Its locationd suited our needs perfectly and were meeting family and firends from Sweden and Germany

Great food and buzzy environment!

Had Carvery, booked 18:00 Sunday. Choice of meat limited Small piece of Beef, new port, off cuts of ham and Carver swayed us away from "very dry" Turkey. Did not use Hotel side of things, but in this survey you seem to have to enter something on those questions...

Very impressed with the staff at this hotel, I left my iPad in my room and they phoned me within about 30 minutes of me leaving to let me know. Would have been a 2 and a half hour trip back if I hadn’t have noticed till I got home. Room was clean and had everything we needed.

Had afternoon lunch in the restaurant food was excellent and the service excellent.

The hotel looks more like a bar with rooms, but don't let that put you off. Staff are helpful and they have free parking onsite. You can eat and drink on sites or it's a short walk to the town centre (2 to 5 mins) depending on where you want to go. Breakfast was lovely, nice choice and well presented.

I attended an event in The Ballroom and it was fine.

A lovely hotel in the heart of Letchworth. The room had lovely decor and was spotless, it even came with a bath. Parking and breakfast included, with fantastic service from the staff. This hotel is fantastic value offering lovely experience. I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming for either work or pleasure. Thank you for my lovely stay!

re New Years Eve. We had a lovely evening. The meal was very nice . Entertainment was good. The event was very well organised and the staff were very helpful. Our double room was basic, it was clean and bed was comfortable. We had a very nice breakfast

We came for Christmas Day dinner at the Broadway - absolutely lovely service and friendly staff, especially Katy! She was so friendly and nice with our children, the food and drinks came out quickly and the atmosphere was so happy and relaxed. Food was delicious and such a high standard. There was no queue for the carvery as the staff kept everything moving so we were able to pop back a few times :) would definitely recommend and we would definitely come back again on Christmas Day.

My husband and I had dinner on Boxing Day. We sat at Table 20 and was served by a lovely young lady who made our experience even better. The food was really good and everyone we came across was smiling. Thank you.

Lisa was exceptional! Really created a great atmosphere for me and my family! But the man serving the hot meats was awful! He argued with me when I asked for a proper slice of turkey!! He was rude, nor customer friendly and you really need to think about if it’s ok to have him represent you. I had to remind him I was a guest who had paid for my food!!! There was no peas, no salad, but his attitude could have ruined the evening if we let him.

We had a family meal involving several allergen specials members which was handled with ease. Not only that, but the food was delicious and a good selection of drink too. This is twice we've had full family meals over Christmas and both times it has been a successful meal. Cheers!

11 of us for xmas day lunch From booking through to the meal itself everyone was friendly and really helpful. On the day, the service was faultless but relaxed , the food was superb, full of flavour and a great choice for everyone . What a wonderful Christmas Day meal at the Broadway Hotel letchworth . We was a party of 6 , with 2 of them being young children and my dad who is paralysed from waist down and deaf I can’t tell you how amazingly kind and helpful every single staff member was with my dad. The best service we have ever encountered in a venue for my dad so helpful and kind , the manager Basha even helped my mum get my dads meal from the carvery so my mum could get hers and also made him some peas separately to go with his meal as he likes them plain. 10/10 5 stars for Basha and her wonderful team at the Broadway, on such fab customer service and gorgeous food. We booked a party of 5 for the Christmas Day lunch. It was a very busy time and the restaurant was completely full. The staff coped well and everything seemed well organised. Drinks orders were taken and delivered efficiently. The food was standard british Xmas lunch with the main courses served from a carvery. It was in line with expectations

Christmas Day meal. 3 courses in lovely, colourful festive surroundings. We felt really looked after by Katie and her colleagues. Hats off to the Chefs. Huge portions, well presented, good choice and tasted delicious 😋. If there was one tiny, tiny complaint, they ran out of crackling... and no background muted Crimbo music. As we say ... tiny tiny requests. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely return. Thank you

Superb value!!!!!!. Really nice rooms , especially with consideration to the price. Very polite and, attentive staff. Great food at the Christmas Gala meal, including breakfast with truly exceptional entertainment with the Soul Man... Can't wait to return.

The hotel is nice and staff are great. The rooms do need a bit of TLC with rattly, cold windows that are quietened by bits of card stuffed round the frames! Furniture is a bit jaded and we could have done with a second bedside table. But all basic needs met. Last year we had a hot, double room that felt a touch small. This year, a cold triple room that was a good size but a bit too cool. That said, it was comfy enough, plenty of space (we had a triple room for 2 of us), and a good price.

Good location near London, with a train station, and in a nice town with plenty of restaurants. Good parking and descent sized rooms at a good price. Excellent staff. Would highly recommend.

Would recommend this hotel, but note comments below ti be prepared! Nice experience Comfortable bed Clean Lovely staff I got a space in the car park but you probably need to get there very early evening to get a chance of a space, as you cannot reserve a parking space Good breakfast buffet - but no fresh cracked pepper available even when requested, and disappointed with rather sad coffee left stewing on a hot plate, when even in the rooms you can get a fresher Nespresso! Both USB sockets in room 211 were faulty but luckily I brought a USB 13A plug adaptor and I could charge my phone through that. Nespresso pods weren’t labelled in the room so had no idea what coffee they were, what strength they were and whether they were decaffeinated or not. Fortunately had time before Sainsbury’s Local across the road closed to pop in and buy some strong ristretto pods for the morning. I’m sure Morrisons right next door would also have had similar stock. They supply a bath but no bubble bath liquid so I had to aim and squirt the shower gel into the bath and had to use a lot of it. The shower screen seal strip was the wrong size - too short - meaning that the floor and towels got soaked when taking a shower. It needs to be replaced with one with a longer skirt which touches the top of the bath.

The carvery was very good it was our first visit for Sunday lunch . We will be going back again .

The Old Cannon Brewery is located in a very central position in Bury St Edmunds, within a 10 minute walk to the station & town centre so great if you're looking for a place to stay to explore the town or visit the theatre etc. Excellent food on both nights of our stay & the vegetarian cooked breakfast is one of the best I've had. There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere in the brewery/pub. Our room was clean & warm (we visited mid November on two of the coldest days/nights of the year) & the king size bed was very comfortable. The only possible draw back is there is no onsite parking but this wasn't a problem for us as we planned to explore the town & visit the theatre which we were able to do on foot. We highly recommend The Old Cannon Brewery & will return for one of their brewery tours in the future.

We had a fabulous stay and will definitely be back! The breakfasts were lovely and the staff so friendly. The rooms could probably do with better sound-proofing as there was a lot of noise from other people's showers etc but appreciate not always possible in an older building.
