Sunday carvery, absolutely superb. Service excellent. Will definitely come again.

Lovely meal in a very chilled and relaxed environment

A great place to eat, the food is so good, the staff so lovely… really glad we found this place last year.

The hotel looks more like a bar with rooms, but don't let that put you off. Staff are helpful and they have free parking onsite. You can eat and drink on sites or it's a short walk to the town centre (2 to 5 mins) depending on where you want to go. Breakfast was lovely, nice choice and well presented.

A lovely hotel in the heart of Letchworth. The room had lovely decor and was spotless, it even came with a bath. Parking and breakfast included, with fantastic service from the staff. This hotel is fantastic value offering lovely experience. I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming for either work or pleasure. Thank you for my lovely stay!

Oh my gosh what an amazing place top class very friendly and helpful and polite I would advise anyone to visit forget any other places go here meals and service was top class we are thinking about staying at the hotel very soon

re New Years Eve. We had a lovely evening. The meal was very nice . Entertainment was good. The event was very well organised and the staff were very helpful. Our double room was basic, it was clean and bed was comfortable. We had a very nice breakfast

We came for Christmas Day dinner at the Broadway - absolutely lovely service and friendly staff, especially Katy! She was so friendly and nice with our children, the food and drinks came out quickly and the atmosphere was so happy and relaxed. Food was delicious and such a high standard. There was no queue for the carvery as the staff kept everything moving so we were able to pop back a few times :) would definitely recommend and we would definitely come back again on Christmas Day.

My husband and I had dinner on Boxing Day. We sat at Table 20 and was served by a lovely young lady who made our experience even better. The food was really good and everyone we came across was smiling. Thank you.

Lisa was exceptional! Really created a great atmosphere for me and my family! But the man serving the hot meats was awful! He argued with me when I asked for a proper slice of turkey!! He was rude, nor customer friendly and you really need to think about if it’s ok to have him represent you. I had to remind him I was a guest who had paid for my food!!! There was no peas, no salad, but his attitude could have ruined the evening if we let him.

We had a family meal involving several allergen specials members which was handled with ease. Not only that, but the food was delicious and a good selection of drink too. This is twice we've had full family meals over Christmas and both times it has been a successful meal. Cheers!

Christmas Day meal. 3 courses in lovely, colourful festive surroundings. We felt really looked after by Katie and her colleagues. Hats off to the Chefs. Huge portions, well presented, good choice and tasted delicious 😋. If there was one tiny, tiny complaint, they ran out of crackling... and no background muted Crimbo music. As we say ... tiny tiny requests. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely return. Thank you

What a wonderful Christmas Day meal at the Broadway Hotel letchworth . We was a party of 6 , with 2 of them being young children and my dad who is paralysed from waist down and deaf I can’t tell you how amazingly kind and helpful every single staff member was with my dad. The best service we have ever encountered in a venue for my dad so helpful and kind , the manager Basha even helped my mum get my dads meal from the carvery so my mum could get hers and also made him some peas separately to go with his meal as he likes them plain. 10/10 5 stars for Basha and her wonderful team at the Broadway, on such fab customer service and gorgeous food. We booked a party of 5 for the Christmas Day lunch. It was a very busy time and the restaurant was completely full. The staff coped well and everything seemed well organised. Drinks orders were taken and delivered efficiently. The food was standard british Xmas lunch with the main courses served from a carvery. It was in line with expectations

11 of us for xmas day lunch From booking through to the meal itself everyone was friendly and really helpful. On the day, the service was faultless but relaxed , the food was superb, full of flavour and a great choice for everyone . Superb value!!!!!!. Really nice rooms , especially with consideration to the price. Very polite and, attentive staff. Great food at the Christmas Gala meal, including breakfast with truly exceptional entertainment with the Soul Man... Can't wait to return.

The hotel is nice and staff are great. The rooms do need a bit of TLC with rattly, cold windows that are quietened by bits of card stuffed round the frames! Furniture is a bit jaded and we could have done with a second bedside table. But all basic needs met. Last year we had a hot, double room that felt a touch small. This year, a cold triple room that was a good size but a bit too cool. That said, it was comfy enough, plenty of space (we had a triple room for 2 of us), and a good price.

Good location near London, with a train station, and in a nice town with plenty of restaurants. Good parking and descent sized rooms at a good price. Excellent staff. Would highly recommend.

Would recommend this hotel, but note comments below ti be prepared! Nice experience Comfortable bed Clean Lovely staff I got a space in the car park but you probably need to get there very early evening to get a chance of a space, as you cannot reserve a parking space Good breakfast buffet - but no fresh cracked pepper available even when requested, and disappointed with rather sad coffee left stewing on a hot plate, when even in the rooms you can get a fresher Nespresso! Both USB sockets in room 211 were faulty but luckily I brought a USB 13A plug adaptor and I could charge my phone through that. Nespresso pods weren’t labelled in the room so had no idea what coffee they were, what strength they were and whether they were decaffeinated or not. Fortunately had time before Sainsbury’s Local across the road closed to pop in and buy some strong ristretto pods for the morning. I’m sure Morrisons right next door would also have had similar stock. They supply a bath but no bubble bath liquid so I had to aim and squirt the shower gel into the bath and had to use a lot of it. The shower screen seal strip was the wrong size - too short - meaning that the floor and towels got soaked when taking a shower. It needs to be replaced with one with a longer skirt which touches the top of the bath.

The carvery was very good it was our first visit for Sunday lunch . We will be going back again .

The Old Cannon Brewery is located in a very central position in Bury St Edmunds, within a 10 minute walk to the station & town centre so great if you're looking for a place to stay to explore the town or visit the theatre etc. Excellent food on both nights of our stay & the vegetarian cooked breakfast is one of the best I've had. There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere in the brewery/pub. Our room was clean & warm (we visited mid November on two of the coldest days/nights of the year) & the king size bed was very comfortable. The only possible draw back is there is no onsite parking but this wasn't a problem for us as we planned to explore the town & visit the theatre which we were able to do on foot. We highly recommend The Old Cannon Brewery & will return for one of their brewery tours in the future.

Entering the room, there was a strong smell in the bathroom/toilet. After cleaning the smell reduced. I believe that the smell may be due as this was a single room and not used much. The smell disappeared during my stay. I suggest that even when not used, the toilet is flushed daily by housekeeping. In the centre of town with parking and friendly staff.

The room was clean and tidy and bed was really comfortable but room could do with updating. Breakfast was lovely and staff were polite and friendly

We had a fabulous stay and will definitely be back! The breakfasts were lovely and the staff so friendly. The rooms could probably do with better sound-proofing as there was a lot of noise from other people's showers etc but appreciate not always possible in an older building.

Lovely carvery and excellent service

Hotel room and welcome good. A bit disappointed with food service - I don't appreciate having a service charge added to my food bill without my approval! Not had this problem before at other places.

Only popped in for the carvery as heard quite good things about it. Enjoyed it but.... This is supposed to be a traditional carvery, something very British but the roast potatoes were cooked in Garlic which to members of my party are totally disgusting. Garlic has no place in traditional English food. The rest of the vegetables were lovely though. I did however find that the person serving the meat cut it way too thin which left me wanting more, unnecessarily stingy I thought compared to other carvery's, as the meats themselves where very nice. The staff where very friendly and efficient the surroundings and ambience not so good. Could do with some improvements.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend in Bury staying here. Great location and lots of character. Rooms were well equipped and lovely and clean - great shower and lovely large white soft towels - always a bonus! Good breakfast and had the smoked haddock mac and cheese for dinner which was superb! All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Definitely happy to stay again and recommend to friends.

Welcome by guy on reception was excellent. Room was disappointing in size. Plus the toilet seat was not staying up. Side ways shower not up to standard expected. Breakfast female staff. Less than friendly, disinterested, failed to ask clearly tea or coffee. No choice over white bread or brown. Pity.

Lovely food, great atmosphere, helpful staff.

Nice hotel, especially the lounge/dining room is very nice and atmospheric and the food is very good. There are also some negatives: a room on the street side is very noisy, the double bed is very narrow and in the bathroom there is only one low towel rack (annex heating) so that large towels drag on the floor. And there is not one hook to hang anything. Next time we'll take a room with twin beds at the back!

I've reviewed this place before, superb food, Lisa was stunning she didn't have to do what she did. Ollie very competent youngster and I don't mean that sarcky, he was great

Absolutely fantastic B&B! The room was clean and in a good location, 5ish minutes to the abbey/cathedral, 10 to the train station. The breakfast was great and every member of staff we interacted with was lovely. Highly recommend if staying in Bury.

Great place to meet my bestie and have lunch staff are super helpful and will try and accommodate any thing they can ,update had another visit here yesterday, Unfortunately different staff on they were not so pleasant and not very helpful

The staff were super friendly. Excellent throughout and very helpful. Clearly took pride in what they did. I was concerned that the room and breakfast were very cheap but worried in vain. The room was basic but comfortable and had everything I needed and most importantly was very clean. Very good value.

Very clean room, but the whole place could do with being professionally refreshed (especially the window frames). The lift was like a coffin, and lit like one! Good breakfasts. Excellent, helpful staff.

I was in room 212 and the bed was very firm - so not the best night sleep - however I will come back as everything else was find - suggestion would be to have toilet rolls not dispensed toilet paper - just a suggestion...

Great spot, 200 metres from the train station, friendly and helpful staff, nice bar area, room had everything I needed, and pretty good breakfast. Only complaint would be that the coffee machine in my room didn’t work and the filter coffee with the free breakfast wasn’t great, but this is a minor niggle with an otherwise great place. The elevator was pretty old-skool but I managed to get my massive luggage up in it so all good :)

The location of the Old Cannon Brewery was brilliant as was the service by all the staff that we encountered. Inside the brewery is very special with the visibility of the distillery area. However the rooms require re-decoration and repair especially the bathroom eg grouting in the shower etc. and soft furnishings (curtains) We loved the outdoor area but again the tables require re-painting to make the furniture more presentable but still keeping the rustic nature. Hope this all helps and we will certainly return again to enjoy a drink and meal one day soon.

Excellent food, fair prices. Comfortable bed. Obviously an old (and gorgeous) building so the windows let through all the outside noise. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

The Hotel was very good, our early check in room was ready for us, as requested, only problem we had was when we returned to the hotel at 7-30pm there was no were to park, the car park is very limited in size and was packed full, with no spaces left for residents, it was all taken up by people using the restaurant, and there is no priority parking for residents,

The lift here is a joke, no way a wheelchair user could get I to or operate it as it'd very small with all most no light. In fact the hallway is very dark also. There are lights but there is the lowest wattage is used. Rooms are just about OK not the cleanest, cold no heat , bed on wheels it moved everywhere lol. No plugs or USB ports found one behind the TV but nothing else, despite being advertised on the Web site. Food very expensive £28 for a 10oz ribeye with few chips a bit of gravy with pepper init trying to pass off as pepper sauce, and then water cress folded in half and shoved on the plate. Chef seamed like he was drunk, shouting in the kitchen chasing a waitress round, he was dressed in shorts and t-shirt, kept going behind the bar helping him self to soft drinks. Overall it seams that it was busy in its heyday but that was a long time ago. Breakfast staff very moody and moaned about everything and everyone. I won't be back here there are lots hotel and b and b's in the area.

I stay three times a year to come to a function. The staff are always friendly and I have to mention Jack he usually tends the bar during the functions. Everyone knows him and he is such a polite and friendly person and nothing is too much trouble. All staff are are so friendly and accommodating nice food and surroundings too. Great location.

Good location Very friendly and helpful staff Would of been nice to have a small fridge in the room for our grandsons milk so used the sink instead Unfortunately the lift didn’t work on the day we were leaving so had to make numerous trips with bags and travel cots down the stairs , plus the lift was very small Parking very handy and we were able to get supplies for the baby locally Very good on-site food throughout the day and nice atmosphere to have a drink in the evening

Lovely Father's Day roast dinner! The vegetables were cooked at perfection, and so was the roast.

Never stayed here before even though I visit Letchworth a couple of times each year, [I am originally from Letchworth]. I enjoyed my stay and the price was good. Other places were cheaper to start with but once they added, WiFi, parking and breakfast then The Broadway was the same price as everything was include in the one price. And, it is in the centre of town which meant that once I had arrived I could park my car and walk everywhere from there. Great staff. Thank you.

Had a lovely meal for Fathers Day. Food was very good and service was great. My only gripe is it was so hot and stuffy in there. It was a warm day and not one window or door was open and there was no Aircon on and it was stifling. I certainly wouldn’t visit again on a warm day.

The proximity to the train station is perfect. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The accommodations were satisfactory (comfy bed). The breakfast offering was very good and generous (discovered streaky bacon - YUM!!!)
