Took a trip out into the hills around Bath and found this gem of an establishment. No booking made (as we were freestyling a bit) but the two young ladies behind the bar were amazing. My wife and I were made to feel very welcome. Ordered (table nibbles) warm crusty bread with balsamic and rapeseed oil dipping bowls, then for our Sunday roast we had 2 × Roast Legs of Lamb, accompanied by amazing veggies, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and incredible cauliflower cheese. All chaperoned just nicely by a very good House Red. Best Sunday Roast I've ever eaten. Highly recommended 👌🏻 Thank you The White Heart 🤍

We visited The White Hart for the first time to sample their Sunday Roast offerings and we were not disappointed. Lovely looking pub with friendly and helpful staff. My wife had the roasted lamb shank and I had the Mediterranean vegetable tart. Both of the meals came with lovely roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and all the trimmings. The cauliflower cheese was excellent. Both of the meals were great value for money.

Me and my partner come here all the time for the delicious food & drink and the lovely atmosphere. Everyone is so friendly it's like a little family there. They always have great events on like live music, quiz nights etc. Highly recommend visiting, you won't regret it!

Very disappointed with my meal, I had roast beef which unfortunately was inedible due to the fact it was fatty and gristly, I told the waitress and she apologised but nothing was done about it, so I won’t be going there again.

The food was really good and the atmosphere was perfect for a Pub, but what will make us come back one day will be the way we have been received and treated by the owner and staff members. Such lovely people with great customer service! It is so good to feel so welcomed, we felt like we were already part of the neighborhood 🥰 Thank you for the experience and we will be back soon!!

Last minute decision to have lunch out today 15 Dec. Having seen various adverts for The White Hart we decided to try it. Excellent decision. The traditional pub setting with warming log fires and an equally warm reception by the staff. The Lunch menu gave enough choices to satisfy anyone's tastes. I chose the Flat iron steak whilst my wife decided upon the Ham egg and chips. Both meals were excellent well cooked and served with salad, fries mushroom and tomatoes etc.it was such a warm, friendly and relaxing atmosphere that unusually for us we even tried the dessert menu. Cheeseboard for me, Sticky toffee pudding for my wife. Absolutely delicious. We left feeling very full but also determined to return soon to try the Evening menu. This has been a regular place for my family to come for a Sunday roast. Lovely staff, great food.

A bustling pub offering a hearty menu. We booked here quite last minute, but they managed to squeeze us in. Food is very traditional pub grub with a few specials. Everything we ordered was served hot and was very tasty (if anything the poison sizes were a little bit too big! ) Service was fast and very friendly. We were sat in the bar area and while it was noisy and bustling... It was a nice friendly atmosphere. Will definitely come back

Excellent Sunday lunch! Between three us we started with Whitebait, Garlic Mushrooms and Squid, all excellent and good portions. For mains two us enjoyed Roast Beef and one the Lamb Rump, which came with a good selection of vegetables and a cauliflower cheese, all excellent. I also enjoyed one of the draught beers. Very pleasant staff too. Will definitely visit again if we are near Melksham. Thank you.

We went today as a party of 15 for a family birthday party and had a fantastic experience. The service in booking and on the day was perfect, really friendly, helpful and genuinely caring staff. The food was delicious all round, from our mixed selection of burgers, steaks, fish and chips to the traditional Sunday Roasts. Everyone loved their food and my roast lamb was generous with perfectly cooked selection of veg. We finished in the skittle alley at no extra cost. Highly recommended and we will for sure be back. Thanks to all the amazing staff and kitchen team for such high quality food at very reasonable prices!

Great Sunday lunch at The White Hart will definitely be back

Visited on a Sunday lunchtime with a large family group. They had asked us to pre order so everything came very quickly. All the food was lovely so overall we would highly recommend.

GREAT PUB - wonderful service, great food, well kept beer, friendly team. We arrived a little after peak time (2:15pm), with a large party (10) and little notice - but the team managed to fit us in for lunch. Service was exceptional, super attentive staff that understood the needs of families with small children. Food was good pub grub - and interesting specials menu we ordered from. Good kids menu too. 2 real ales on (I only tried one, but it was great), good selection of lager, 1 craft beer on draft, cider. Didn't see the wine list. I always thought the pub looked a bit shabby from the outside, but was thrilled that the impression was wrong. We'll be back!

Met family there tonight for a meal. We are extremely disappointed that we are not local so we can not come back again. The food was first class. Just been for a fantastic meal with my partner steaks cooked to perfection and pepper sauce to die for followed by delicious chocolate fudge cake and cheese cake for my partner really recommend a visit 5 star !!

Booked a birthday meal here and was rather disappointed. The menu has not changed since a visit a year ago,the portions were rather small and the service has gone down hill. Shame as the beer was good. Please can you revamp your menu??

Found this place on TripAdvisor and oh my goodness what a find. A lovely warm welcoming atmosphere in a bustling pub with barstaff who know their stuff and serve 2 or more customers at a time. Really friendly. We looked at the menu and the specials board and we're both immediately drawn to the Aberdeen Angus steak and ale pie on mash with veg and red wine gravy. Yummy!!! The service at table was first rate, our waiter was very attentive and happy to serve us. The pub itself is cosy and olde world with low ceilings and artifacts on the window sills. There's a car park to the rear as well as bench tables and a small children's play area. Definitely worth another visit. 👌

Took our 3 dogs in tonight and had the midweek steak special....was absolutely delicious!! Paid extra for stilton sauce which was also delicious. Made to feel welcome with the dogs which is great. Can't wait to pop in again..

Absolutely amazing. Been here a few times now as we visit locally once a year. After discovering this place we have come back every year since. Had wild boar for the first time. Definitely recommend it. Staff are wonderful, welcoming and friendly, very attentive but not in your way, perfect balance. I asked for a drop of extra gravy and got a whole boat. I do like my gravy. Oldy worldy food pub full of antiques and oddities. Fantastic :-) If I lived closer I would be here every week

Popped in for a beer on our way home. Real ales were well kept, service was good and speedy with everything covid safe. Nice area outside the rear which we sat in. Menus looks great but we did not eat

Lovely place would highly recommend. We came along for a Sunday roast and to check out the monthly Artisan Market- we had a great time. Our roasts were delicious as always, cooked to perfection and the staff were lovely and so helpful, they couldn't do enough for us. And we thoroughly enjoyed checking out the market afterwards. Very well organised and a big array of stalls with all different crafts. We will definitely come again and recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy easy food in a beautiful setting.

Have visited for many years perfect for family, elderly, couples and dog friendly. Had first takeaway yesterday and it was brilliant lovely food as always never had a bad meal.

Not bad, your typical pub. £5 minimum card spend. Only went here for the bowling mostly, which is all very much do it yourself but was a fun outing. Only food options were scampi & chips or chili and rice, but overall wasn't a lot of scampi; but still finished the lot. Would visit again but not in a rush.
