Had lasagne two weeks ago, very good. Pity that the menu is limited and food is in only served on Friday, Saturday and Sunday according to website. Overall very good.

A usual type of menu with no frills but nicely cooked and hot.I enjoyed the chilli.Service was friendly.

Relaxing bar area to enjoy your drink but beer pretty average. Nice telly with good picture and exceptional sound. I said "exceptional sound". The menu is a tad odd but you may find something of interest. Appears to be a popular after school club for the local kids as they can do their homework while Dad has a pint or two ... assume Mum is still at work?Good local reputation ... that maybe based on the fact the nearest competition is some miles away.

Had fish and chips in this establishment and they were great.. good size portion and freshly cooked, recommended them to anybody who likes good food .. I have also had the lasagne and that was good to. They have a new chef Sarah and the food is very tasty. If you don’t go you won’t know ... !!

Was told at 6:30pm when I rang the pub if children was allowed in as it was my daughters birthday and we have children with us, the landlord said yes it was fine and asked their ages which i told him and he said that’s fine he asked what time and I told him 8pm, again he said fine. Got there for 8pm along with 6 children and 8 adults for us to get a drink sit down and told we had to leave by 9pm by the landlord.... The landlady then followed and was apologetic and offered us a drink and then the landlord come back over told us we could effing leave now after calling my mum a liar, clearly drunk and an absolute arrogant man!!! Will definitely be making a complaint to bateman’s as his attitude towards us absolutely stunk!!! Take my advice do not go to this pub if you’re looking for a family pub as it’s NOT!!! Absolutely disgusted!!

No regularmente escribo críticas, pero nuestra experiencia fue tan mala, siento la necesidad de decir a otros.Con frecuencia comer fuera y no esperábamos un pub cocina gourmet de pueblo, sin embargo, esperar que la comida sea comestible.Quizás es por el hecho de que los propietarios son nuevos, pero. . .En primer lugar, la bienvenida fue prácticamente inexistente de la mujer detrás de la barra (que resultó ser el dueño); ella parecía completamente fuera de su profundidad. La camarera joven que tomó nuestra orden fue sin embargo, muy educado.Baños estaban sucios.Pedir bebidas era incorrecta - cal y soda era lima y limonada (o simplemente lime cordial en realidad!La comida era asquerosa -) nuggets de pollo y cigalas claramente preparado en la misma profundidad de grasa fryer - no es bueno si uno de ustedes es alérgico al pescado. Tanto rebosa de aceite. Comida para niños vinieron con guisantes, judías como no solicitado. Pollo hickory era un pedazo de pollo con una salsa marrón y un poco de tocino en la parte superior - no queso, no salsa barbacoa. Las patatas fritas eran pasada.La guinda del pastel fue cuando nos salimos de nuestra tarjeta de débito a pagar, (aunque no creo que deberíamos haber pagado en realidad) nos dijeron que no tienen una máquina de tarjeta en el momento! Rara vez, por lo que llevar dinero en efectivo para los propietarios de suerte que en esta ocasión, mi pareja y yo acabamos conseguido arañar lo suficiente juntos entre nosotros para cubrir la factura. No estoy seguro de lo que habría hecho si no tuvimos ningún efectivo. Sin duda este debería haber sido mencionado antes nos sentamos?El propietario se disculpó y le echó la camarera joven que era "simplemente estar entrenado esta noche", sin embargo, era el dueño quien nos sirvió inicialmente, por lo tanto su responsabilidad de mencionar la falta de máquina de tarjeta.Hemos vuelto a casa bastante mareado. . .

Reservamos aquí el sábado por la noche, llegamos y nos dieron nuestras bebidas y decidí sentarme en el salón a charlar. La casera vino y nos preguntó si nos gustaría examinar el menú mientras estábamos temprano para la mesa, lo cual me pareció un detalle muy bonito. Una vez decidido, nos sentamos en la mesa, con un servicio rápido y amable. La comida era deliciosa, todo estaba sazonada a la perfección y muy bien preparadas. El tamaño de la porción era genial, no demasiado poco no mucho. Patatas fritas caseras y estaban cocinadas tal como ellos, crujientes por fuera y esponjosas en el medio. Es muy buena relación calidad-precio. Sin duda visitaré aquí!

very nice local pub great atmosphere broke the journey to our destination found the staff friendly & did not feel rushed at all the weather was good the day we passed through so that was a bonus

El domingo comimos aquí en 8 th 2015 Nov sorprendidos por nuevo aspecto decoración/nuevo al salón. Pequeña zona de restaurante que ofrece muy buena comida, bien preparada y presentada, el servicio es bueno también. casera y joven personal femenino bien convertido y con ganas de agradar. Una delicia. Teníamos cordero con verduras y ollas con moteada dick y la tarta de manzana Como poster tomará como postre. hacer reserva con antelación. "bastante nueva" dirección pero obviamente en la parte! Bueno a 'em!

On the way home we had a pit stop for lunch. This looked pleasant and we wasn't disappointed. Staff friendly. Nice and clean and comfortable. Great value. Would definitely go again if passing.
