My favourite pub in Reading so far!

unfortunately we arrived at 3 pm, and they told us tha the kitchen is f closed

I'd like to say a huge thank you to all of the staff for hosting the Wake after my Mother's funeral. You were all amazing, the service was amazing! It was my Mother's favourite pub, hope she was looking down and seeing how amazing the atmosphere was.

They painted window frames with new black and put wet paint signs... simply loving

If you say you open 12:00 on deliveroo then open, why wait and lose money because your food is freaking delicious

Best polish food served in 50 miles radius. Down side is that kitchen it's closed due the refurbishment. But can't wait when food will be served again! Ps: I went to " Piwnica" instead, huge mistake, bad food and extremely overpriced. PLEASE PLEASE OPEN YOUR KITCHEN ASAP!

Lovely "polish" pub in the middle of very lively Oxford Road with excellent beers and lagers on sale and a large dining area, full sky sports and a big pool table area.

Very unwelcoming when I went in the barman did not want to engage in conversation, everyone seemed very quiet, so after one quick pint I left, I felt abit unsafe in there!!!

Absolutly huge portions of delicious polish cousine. Dishes were very tasty, the place was clean and the stuff was helpful and very friendly. Highly recommended. For sure will visit again

The food was amazing, generous portions and everyone liked the lager. The slow cooked pork was some of the best food ever made. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

I've been client off this pub for 5-6 years and yesterday we had a very bad conversation with one of the bartender regarding some crisps that we bring with us. The way how he came to talk to us was so rude.

Lovely pub, located not far from Chichester Station. Staff are polite and helpful. I had lunch in here. The food was excellent, and the service was very quick.

I had food delivered For all I paid 27£ with delivery, I got potato pancakes with mushroom sauce and chicken soup. Potato pancakes were alright, and they had plenty of mushroom sauce. Chicken soup was very small for 8£ you would expect a bigger portion and were missing flavours. I don't recommend ordering on delivery. I would suggest eating at a restaurant.

We have lived in Reading for 7 years but have only come for dinner once. Delicious food, affordable prices, very nice and professional service. We heartily recommend it to everyone. We will visit more often.

The card is modest but specific. Portions are large and filling. The service was nice and helpful in choosing. Competitive prices. I definitely recommend going there with family or friends for dinner or just a beer. You can watch various sports matches. Karaoke evenings are organized. A place worth recommending.

I love the food here! They serve the best polish dishes I have ever taste! We ordered pirogi, goulash with dumplings and the fried potatoes dish with polish sauce. We didn’t know that the plates were so big! Fortunately, they had the take away bags 🤩 Very nice service and good rock music!

Very nice pub, lovely owners, Polish style. Has a pool table and outside garden. Food was amazing! Best pierogi I've ever eaten!

I absolutely do not recommend!!! Especially booking a table, 3 days before my birthday it turned out that my table had been rented to someone else. Total lack of respect for the customer!

I have always considered myself lucky that this is the pub "just about opposite" my preferred laundromat (which I think I have also commended elsewhere on GMaps) over the last few years. Sneaky beer or two at a pretty good price, whilst the washer and/or dryer are doing their thing, if you get my drift. Unfailingly very friendly service, ostensibly very high standards in keeping the beer well. By an accident of timing, however, I found myself this evening for the first time considering a food order. My first reaction on seeing the menu was, admittedly, "ooh, that seems just a little pricey for a pub in this location", but I took the plunge and ordered the goulash, with twin side salads. Best decision in weeks. It was utterly superb, and worth every penny. (Please don't put the price up on account of that though.... 🤪) If I could give that meal 6 stars, I would.

A very warm welcome on arrival, I was offered a complimentary cabbage soup for starters which has flavours i can only tell to be amazing. Pork goulash with mash and veg for main meal , again wow , this was my first taste of polish cuisine which I highly recommend and thoroughly enjoyed. I recommend that if your in Reading come try The White Eagles polish menu .

A nice Polish pub and restaurant serving not only traditional Polish cuisine and Polish beverages, but also typical British all day breakfast and other meals and snacks. The meals are done in a home style way and really nicely presented on the plate. Staff is polite and helpful. Great place for whole family!

It was my first time in the white eagle and I must say enjoyed the experience immensely 😊 had a meal and the food was delicious and good value for the money , I only just about managed to eat it all but had to because it was so good! Felt welcome and great live music! Which is the reason I went for the music and to see a friend sing with her band and so glad that I did , friendly and no trouble 😊

Polish pub . Popular with locals and busy most days. Food here is exceptional and prices good . Staff nice and polite. They have 2 Nice outside areas, pool tables and entertainment . Good selection of bottled beers .

First couple of times were okay. Felt very unwanted as the only black people in the bar but food was okay. Third time, the server completely ignored my friends and I. Literally serving people that came after us, and avoiding eye contact. We left. Ruined the whole. Terrible service. Never going back.
