Before entering the establishment, you have to breath in drugs being smoked outside by the hoodedYobbo's, then when entering your stuck to the floor with the oil grease of the black worn out carpet. It's unbelievable. Every footstep is like having suction on the bottom of your shoes. Surprisingly, the food is OK. Will not be using again saver to get something delivered ,

Very good overall but the salt and pepper chicken was awful. So chewy, couldn’t even cut into them and not what we expect when we order them normally

We ordered chicken curry chicken balls chicken chow mein chips this was our first and last order for some reason the chicken curry tasted sweet and not much chicken in it ,and the chicken chow mein was sweet but the staff were lovely polite and helpful we was really looking forward to the meal we ordered but we very disappointed and did not eat it

This by far the best Chinese takeaway in reading great food freindly staff you can’t ask for more.

Very nice owner, works really hard. Never had a complaint about the food, and everyone no doubt has their favourite Chinese takeaway, this is mine. Good value. I just wish they'd update the waiting area as very dated. 👍

First time ordering here, and being a connoisseur for Dumplings, they were absolutely delicious. High standard food rating certificates on the wall. I ordered ahead and collected my food. I did not wait long. Welcoming service. Thank you for bringing beautiful Chinese Cuisines to Reading, UK 👌✨️

Always been a favourite of mine .. been the same same since i was a wee'un same same family same same good food . Sorta like a ronseal tinned Chinese. But real annoyed me today! Arrrgghh! Got a chk curry egg rice and a chip . Charged me £15.80. Thought wow that's a bit much for rice and a curry ... thinking about when home added the cost of the menu yeah a new menu I picked up .. and they over charged me £3.80 is not about three pound it's just doing it right , the right way .. called them but they didn't give a .... just a sorry or sort something different or next time or wat eva I dint want the 3 quid I just dont wanna be mugged off . So now I'm sorry... a customer of over 35years and all his family wont be mugged again were just have Indian instead . All but for a sorry just acknowledgement . All but for 3 pounds ... I work , I work hard for my money ...!

This is the best Chinese around, the only thing I would say is, to tell the truth about how long your dinner will take as you always end up waiting in the shop for around 10 to 20 minutes.

Will not be ordering from them again. Prawn toast tasted and looked like they were re fried yesterday.. hard and crispy. The satay chicken skewers were also dry and did not taste of peanuts at all. But the worse item was the congealed looking Beef in Black Bean Sauce.. There was no sauce but clumps of thickened, congealed gravy stuck to chewy beef, the sauce..didn't taste at all like black bean sauce. When I called and complained the reply was.... 'That's how we cook it' ???????? Never Again!!!!!!!

Great service from Dragon Garden. Placed a huge order New Years Eve and was ready on time all bagged up separately for each family. No mistakes and great food.

The worst chicken chow main I have ever had from a Chinese take away. Can’t speak for the rest of their food.

Dreadful! Tried it for the first time and went with a aafe bet - singapore chow mein chicken fried rice and a side dish of mushrooms. The mushrooms were sweetened. The singapore noodles were large noodles rathee than thin, and were overcooked, greasy and bland. The chicken fried rice looked grey and tasted as bad. Have no idea why the average Google rating is higher than 2.

It’s been 15 years we have been using Dragon’s Garden. Favorite restaurant for Chinese Cuisine. Always top quality.

Consistantly good quality food but lack of delivery is a bit of a shame.

Never had a issues with this chinese foods always hot and the curry source is the best chicken balls are really good never had any bad food and stuff are really friendly

Went here after seeing the reviews, the restaurant was busy busy, but the food appalling - completely inedible and the meat indistinguable. Worst Chinese food ever, and we eat a lot of Chinese food!
