Never had food here but whenever I go have drinks here, it is really enjoyable. Staff are amazing, really down to earth, friendly and sociable. Place is nice and comfortable too and has a nice vibe decorating wise.

I went to this bar tonight and got refused entry by a “bouncer” who had decided that I had had too much to drink. He laid hands on me which is an assault. I left straight away as I am not willing to be accused of being something I am not.

We hired the room for a Hen Party on Saturday night and just wanted to write a review to say Miriam was fantastic, she really looked after us, nothing was too much trouble and she really got into the whole party atmosphere with us all. Thank you so much for a fab evening!!

If you want good drinks go to kieran!! He was very welcoming :)

Good cocktails and nice environment which fills up quite fast, the birthday shot came with a Polaroid!! Happy hour prices are fair and reasonable

Stopped by for some cocktails a couple weekends ago and was greeted with ‘all tables are reserved’ followed by ‘it’s a Saturday!’ delivered in a way that made us feel truly idiotic for even contemplating there might be a free table. The reservation of tables is an odd concept … why wouldn’t you want your tables permanently full rather than at times they’ve been reserved? Anyhoo, I won’t be be back … but I doubt that’ll be a concern for anyone at this bar … especially if ‘it’s a Saturday’.

Popped in for a drink before going to the Hexagon for a show. Happy hour was in so we benefited from that. The staff are great and cool. Would return. Had good music when we were there.

Kyle was a god send. So much talent in one man it's unreal. Flair skills on point. Interaction on point. What a man. Amazing drinks. Banging levels. What an atmosphere there too. So many bangers. Defo worth a visit!!

We ordered some takeaway for a small get together at work. All the food arrived cold. The fish was over cooked, chips seemed like been cooked and kept for a long time. Pad Thai was yuck. Never ordering again.

Absolutely awful. We were sat at a table and after 15 minutes bar guy approached to say our table had been pre-booked. No indication of that and we had to move ( no other tables). Bar guy was extremely aggressive and rude to my wife when there was no need. They made a mistake but it was our fault. This guy is going to have to change his ways if he wants to get on in life 🙄

I've always loved this place since I discovered it, they do a range of different types of cocktails and have plenty of spirits. Went with a friend for some drinks and got great service from all the staff, Jaygo in particular! He recommended drinks based on our likes and gave fantastic service being chatty and friendly.

Nice atmosphere, lovely leds made that place so cosy and warm, blond girl with piercing was on her training day and she was so lovely and tried her best, asking people around if everything is okay and she was so cute doing that. She recomended nice app to get cheaper drinks. Very nice place!

What a place. Party all the time. Service is amazing. Nice 80s 90s music. Happy hour with 2for1 is the way.

We were only here for one drink. Even the most basic drink was at an inflated price stacked full of ice (more ice does NOT make a drink any more fancy!) but the place did certainly have a very nice atmosphere if your a woman looking for attention. The staff, who thought it appropriate to parade ON the bar playing with the hanging lights, which just screamed unsafe. Entertaining but they came across as male gigalo looking for attention so wasn't for me. Women on the other hand may love it which explains why there was mostly women in there.

I went along for a planned Dungeons and Dragons event. It wasn’t what I expected but massive thanks to the organiser Jake Cross for making it so welcoming. Enjoyed the games but also great drinks and managed to convince my friends to make it our usual hangout after this. 👌🏼

Really nice bup/bar to hang out and enjoy a night out, good music on Friday. I can't say the same for saturday. These being said....i do recomand it!

Great selection of cocktails and their happy hour makes them even better. The bartender was incredibly knowledgeable and wouldn't serve us a less than perfect cocktail. Would definitely go here again.

As a person with a disability, it’s not often that I feel as welcomed as I did when I came to be @ one, I would like to give a special mention to Gemma , Gemma made me feel so welcome from the word go, she made sure I was placed on a table that was comfortable and checked on me throughout the night to ensure I was safe and okay, this is beautiful and we need more people in the industry like her, lovely place , beautiful atmosphere and wonderful staff ! Recently visited here with girl friends for hen party and I must say the experience is exeptional. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Thanks to Mash and Jay who served us with lovely drinks that night!

Great bar. I was there late one Thursday and the atmosphere was great, and the cocktails were amazing.

One of the DM's during the fortnightly Dungeons and Daiquiris sessions, the venue is perfect for allowing both experienced and new players to play D&D in a safe and comfortable space. Jake has worked hard and done an amazing job to create an incredible space and does a fantastic job of hosting the night. I'm happy to be a part of it. Cocktails are smashing too, I've yet to make my way through the cocktail menu but getting there!

I don't normally frequent Be At Ones. I don't really know what to make of them or what they're trying to be. Recently, it feels like they're trying to compete with the anarchic decadence of the London Cocktail Club but doesn't quite pull it off. The drinks, bar and entertainment are good but nothing really to separate it or make it a go-to destination.

Horribly rude guy at the entrance, smoking in our faces while we tried to enter and denied entrance for not being dressed fancy enough despite other guests clearly dressed same or less fancy (like shorts and t-shirts when we were wearing jeans and t-shirts)

Well, this place does not understand business in Reading. In this town you should not bounce customers on a half empty pub evening. Or maybe this is how you become "elite" in Reading :) The big dude at the entrance thought I am a mechanic after work. You were a bit off, big dude (software engineer during a day off). I see your point though: simple not (obviously) branded dark t-shirt and jeans. You, big dude, were a bit "overdressed", if I may: 25°C, in England, and you were wearing a windbreaker vest :))

We held a party in the downstairs bar area and I can't sing their praises enough. Heidi helped us coordinate this from start to finish, she was incredibly responsive and helpful. On the evening itself all the staff including bar staff, security and management were on hand as needed and the entire night was perfect. Every request was accommodated as best they can and if you're looking for somewhere to hold an event I really recommend it.

Great Venue, staff Super Friendly. Bartenders incredible crazy Skilled, Music was fantastic, GR8 Atmosphere, they delivered an amazing service. I will definitely come back.

I would love to give you guys 5 stars. I'm regular at this place and one day around 7pm I got denied to enter because of dress code, I was wearing a 300£ trousers that the guy thought were tracksuit. Was very uncomfortable and unpleasant. They bartenders are awesome tho I love them all.

Been going to Dungeons and Daiquiris since it started fornightly on Tuesday and have had a great time, Jake puts on a great night and I even passed it on to others how good it was. Look forward to it more!

Recently attended a Dungeons and Dragons event hosted by Jake Cross suitably named Dungeons and Daiquiris. The venue was great as we had our own private space downstairs with Bluetooth speakers to play our own music. There were themed cocktails to and 241 at a reasonable price. Jake was a great host and it's been a long time since I've been at Be at One compared to my heyday but definitely would recommend and go again.

I had a great night. Oz and jay have been the loveliest hosts!!!! And drinks are always reasonably priced 🙂🙂🙂

Great atmosphere, great staff and always feel welcomed everytime I step into the venue. I go mostly on Tuesdays for the DnD night we have in the basement organised by Jake and always having a great time l would highly recommend a visit anyday of the week.

How can I fault it. Great atmosphere. The staff brilliant cannot do enough for you. Their knowledge of drinks amazed me. Never once looking at recipes just do it. As a visitor to reading from Southampton I know where I'll be drinking on my next visit. Thanks guys

We went into Be At One in Reading for some cocktails on a Tuesday evening, the bar was very quiet with around 3/4 customers sat around tables, the staff were leaning across the bar chatting away and not doing anything, very casual atmosphere, the staff were wearing hats backwards and jeans and shirts so didn’t think there would be a strict dress sense in there but as soon as walked in and picked up the menu the guy behind the bar turned us away in front of everyone because, in his words to my partner ‘ I can’t have you in here in a tracksuit mate ‘. Very rude, extremely inappropriate and unreasonable. It’s 2023 and to still judge people based on what they are wearing is shocking, my partner is a director at a reputable company, has a stressful job and was unwinding on some time off from work and if he chooses to do that wearing a tracksuit (may I point out a very expensive and dressy tracksuit) then he should not be banned because of it. We were in there to spend money but the business missed out because of old fashioned ideas, we will never be coming back to this place again. I must also say that my partner is from a minority background so the staff members attitude felt very much like racism, specially to be sent away due to his casual dress sense when everyone else looked very casual too, so clearly we must have been picked out for other reasons too . I didn’t even have a response to the treatment at the time as I couldn’t believe what I was hearing but I wanted to leave a review so other people are aware of this venue and avoid it at all costs.

I’m a regular at this place, and can honestly say it’s the best bar in Reading. Service is unmatched, especially Smash, Jay, and Barnes are wonderful! The drinks are excellent, and the music is also great which is a plus! Overall wonderful experience in this place!
