Every meal I have had here has been excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant

Love this little Gem, small but perfectly packaged Great breakfasts and lunches too. They even have a wine list.

As a local, this is my absolute favourite place to pop in for brunch or coffee. The staff are so upbeat and friendly to everyone who walks through the door. It’s a heart warming place to be. Good coffee. Lovely sausage rolls and scones, proper hot chocolate. Nothing not to love about Whistle Stop (and for those old enough to know… no, they don’t have fried green tomatoes on the menu)

First visit last week and just been back today, my new favourite breakfast haunt! The waitress even remembered us.

Poor attitude and service. They tend to favour their regulars and not the occasional diner

Always good, tasty food & good value for money. Fast service and friendly staff. It is, therefore, a very popular place and usually it is necessary to book a table for lunch. Dog friendly also.

You step back in time when you enter the cafe, like entering a station waiting room in the 1960's, brilliant! My friend had the fruit scone, he is a connoisseur of scones and he said it was fabulous! The sausage roll was excellent, coffee, perfect. As it was a nice day we sat outside on the benches in the sun. Parking is pay and display right outside.

Managed to capture some sunshine amongst the recent heavy rains. Cafe was busy with people even enjoying their food sitting outside . Lovely atmosphere.

Fab place in beautiful Woodbridge

Always a treat to come here for breakfast. The food is well priced and is of good quality. My only pet peeve is that they don’t serve pancakes/American style breakfast. Edit: knocking a star off for being closed today and not updating the google page instead of only putting a sign on the door.

I asked for kids hot chocolate and without asking or prompting the lady that served us explained that the drinks were ready to dive straight into as she didn’t do them too hot. Perfect kids drinking temperature, unlike the chain coffee shops that you have to wait 3 days for them to cool down 😂 Lovely atmosphere, really cute cafe! Will be returning for a breakfast for sure!

We have lived in Woodbridge for 4 years plus and heard good things about the Whistle Stop.When we tried tohave coffee there today,admittedly on a Sunday morning, the cafe was crowded with only two tables empty. These had been booked for a time 30 minutes away , but the staff member we spoke to showed no interest in letting us use them until then. She said she required the tables back ten minutes earlier. There was at leat one other table not being fuly used but the occupants were reluctant to share and the staff showed no interest in arranging something. Sp we left. Woodbridge has a number of great, friendly cafes. This is clearly not one of them.

Great cafe with an excellent range of meals snacks and cakes. Staff always friendly and on it with the service, even during very busy times. Good value for money.

This lovely litte cafe is under new management and was very busy at lunchtime. The friendly staff soo helped us out with a nice indoor seat, and we soon were munching our way through a lovely brunch.

The Whistlestop cafe is in a perfect location - so convenient for when you need to catch a train. I was happy to try the place out, but I was not impressed by the quality of the ingredients. The bacon was very tough, and baked beans were definitely the kind packed full of sugar. Considering the quality of a lot of local produce in Suffolk, I would have loved to see better quality ingredients.

Oh my goodness! This has to be the best full English breakfast ever! Delicious bacon and sausage (local, I am sure) with choice of toast or fried bread. Perfect eggs too. Everything piping hot, including beans and mushrooms. Super friendly staff and very welcoming to dogs. Highly recommend 👌

always have an amazing experience here. I come with my boyfriend atleast once a month, if not more! Service is lovely, the staff are amazing, never fail to make us feel welcome, drinks and food all amazing and such a good price. I can’t fault at all, i just wish i could come more! Will be back again soon xx

Happened upon this excellent little cafe by sheer coincidence one Saturday morning. Received a warm reception from the staff, the English Breakfast was fantastic and reasonably priced too. In keeping with its railway tradition the decor is themed with nostalgia from the railroad. Well worth a visit ☺️

Wow, fish and chips were amazing, the freshest fish, the lightest batter with a choice of 'Stokes' condiments enjoyed with a glass of fizz, followed with local salted caramel icecream What really stands out is the amazing happy to serve you staff - even on a Monday! One fot the memory bank

Lovely little find with friendly welcoming staff, clearly very popular as I was lucky to get a table inside. Interior is decorated with train and station related items, nicely done.

A throwback to the traditional English cafe; wonderful food, very friendly service and excellent value for money. Unsurprisingly the venue is very popular so reservations are recommended from mid morning through lunch service. If you're going to try the large brunch then skip breakfast!

My wife and I visited the whistle stop on a Friday afternoon, we were greeted by a pleasant railway waiting room repurposed into a restaurant. We ordered two latte's which were served shortly afterwards which were nice and hot. We ordered our food, which took a short while and were so surprise not only at the quality of the food but also the quantity. Full marks the the staff you do your employers proud👏

Hidden in the station building I suspect most visitors wouldn't know it was there. This is a classic British cafe, but with modern sensibilities, salad with bacon sandwich a good example. Staff are fun and charming. Its not large so recommend booking if you can. Was full of locals who obviously know a good thing when they see it. Good place to take visitors who haven't seen a British cafe. Excellent bacon sandwich and coffee ☕ Very dog friendly, outside space for summer.

We had a party of 7 people including some dietary requirements but everything was catered for perfectly and we enjoyed a hearty lunch at a great price. I had the sausage and egg bap on a white roll which was large, absolutely delicious and a perfect lunch overall.

We went to The Whistlestop Cafe for some lunch on a visit to Woodbridge, the service received was superb, the food was very good & portion sizes were generous, it can get a bit pushed for space as it's not a big place & there are a lot of people that use it, this to me is a good sign! We would certainly visit there again!

A real gem, brilliant all-day breakfast, with local produce, great variety, popular with locals… what a find.

Lovely cafe, lovely staff and the food is reasonably priced is is very good! Highly recommend, I stop here for brunch often as there is always tables free and is easy to get too. There is also outdoor seating if your stopping off there after a dog walk.

Well situated quaint cafe in an easily accessible location just next to the train station near pubs and the cinema. Went for a lunch on a sunny weekend. The front of house staff were very helpful and had good customer service. Unfortunately there was a slight lack of seating available, and the food took 40 minutes to arrive, the napkins the cutlery was folded with was soggy which was unfortunate. They had a large range of food, the breakfasts could have done with hash browns however. Overall a decent lunch, you get what you pay for.

Lovely place to eat we had scones and coffee but the breakfast looked good

I had the fish and chips with an Adnams beer. The fish was perfect with crisp but not greasy batter. A lovely lunch in the sunshine at the tables outside.

Very nice breakfast but served too late in the morning - 9am is not breakfast time, it’s when people get to work! Even an hour earlier would’ve been better.

We've become regulars at this cute Cafe. Breakfast is always spot on! Polite and friendly staff & dog friendly which a big plus for us - our bulldog loves it there. If you are in Woodbridge and you're looking for a decent breakfast this is the place! You won't be disappointed.

Great place! Helpful and pleasant staff, good value, good quality food. I had ham, egg & chips and only spent over £10 because I also had a bowl of salad. There was almost enough for two people! Dog-friendly too. Environment is good too - clean & nicely decorated.

This has been my favourite cafe for some years but recently we’ve struggled to get a place to sit. 3 times now we’ve arrived (after paying to park) & none of the times have we actually been able to find a table. It’s great it’s so busy as it’s a lovely cafe & the food is brilliant but I truly feel they are taking outside seating away as to not swamp the kitchen with orders. There is plenty of space outside but nowhere near enough tables for people. I think we may have to find another cafe ☹️

Delicious food and very reasonably priced. Staff lovely, kind and polite. They always get me a pillow to sit on due to having a bad back without any fuss. It is the cafe of love and kindness.

We had table service outside in the sunshine and no passing traffic. Stones, fruit cake, tea and coffee served with a smile. Nice young man cleared and wiped table. Very friendly and good food.

Small place with outside seating on the railway. Good quality food, large portions and good value. A very sweet (quaint) atmosphere where locals come. I had the small English breakfast (which is huge), my friend had the bacon, egg, and sausage bap. The coffee’s good too. 😊👍🏼

Am a vegetarian. As often as possible I have a vegetarian brunch with saute potatoes. I am 76. This is the only restaurant I have eaten at, where the whole plate of food arrives piping hot. Every time. The fried eggs are perfectly cooked. The staff are always friendly and very helpful. Cakes and coffee very high quality. Definitely 5 star.

Always friendly and quick service! Sometimes quite tricky to get a table but that’s just because they’re so popular, for good reason! Really lovely food, a big menu (big portions too!), and clued up on allergens when asked if anything contained nuts, plus perfect cappuccinos! Love it here :)

I have to give 5 stars because the food, drinks and service were all just perfect. My photo might not truly show but they must have a great chef out back because every element was cooked faultlessly. It was the best cooked English breakfast I've had in about 2 years and I've tried so so many, at much higher prices as well. In considering, i couldn't actually fault it in a single way. The staff are down to earth and lovely. My Berry smoothie was really delicious! Coffee very nice. The staff are down to earth and lovely. I just wish there was room for better toilet facilities. There is only one toilet and its not the best and uncomfortably close to the kitchen. However, everything was so great I still can't rate the whistlestop lower then 5 stars despite this!

Very full menu friendly and helpful staff and great food

Great service and great food today for our family brunch, seated in the outside marquee which was lovely and warm. Girls who served us were so polite and helpful, even bringing my granddaughters a spoon each for their hot chocolate whipped cream! Our dog was also very comfortable on one of the dog mats provided. Highly recommend this cafe.

Fantastic all day breakfast, best in Woodbridge and not expensive, staff are so friendly and accommodating, lovely warm cafe and the outside bit is nice too, can’t wait to take the kids back again for brunch

Best cafe around!!! Never ever had a bad meal, and we've been a lot in the last 3 plus years. It's always our first choice. Yes it's busy and popular, but that speaks volumes for the service and food you'll get. Carla is so lovely and friendly. Dog friendly place too and always has dog treats and beds available too. Stopped for lunch couldn't sit inside all reserved, went to order but needed a table number outside managed to grab a table outside but as I was on my own had to ask a couple on another table to save me the table so I could go back inside to order my food, they brought my food and not the coffee had to ask again for that, I know they was busy but staff didn't seem to know what they were doing won't go again
