Very quiet on Sunday evenings. No bitter ales at all in service, but Guinness was perfect. Lovely place in general.

A nice out of the way pub. Plenty of outdoor seating. Good for families. I dont recommend the bangers and mash or the chicken wrap

This place is great. I went to celebrate my birthday and they couldn’t be any better. They make us feel welcome and special. I will definitely come back.

Lovely pub with friendly staff, tasteful fairy lights outside and seating area. Nice indoor area by the bar or glass conservatory area. Very unique Romanian pub serving authentic food and drink. I usually come here with friends for Omari’s open mic night on a Wednesday which is lovely, friendly people and great atmosphere, would recommend! They also do live music other days too but Omari’s open mic is my personal favourite as there are amazing singers and poets who perform here regularly, including Omari himself🎵✨🍻

I would just like to thank the family run whip & collar we had an excellent night there on Saturday everyone was wonderful thanks for been fantastic..if you get a chance to visit this establishment make sure you do,plus the Guinness was amazing

Lovely pub, with very good food. You get all the usual pub staples and then some Romanian dishes. Can recommend the tripe soup and you definitely have to try mititei. Has TVs, an outdoor area, when weather permits there is a bouncy play area for children, it's pet friendly and there is parking available.

I must say, my experience at the £65 per person Christmas dinner was nothing short of disappointing. From start to finish, it felt like a complete waste of money. Let's begin with the food itself, which I can only describe as lackluster. It was evident that everything had been either microwaved or pre-frozen. Is this what passes for a "festive" meal these days? The main course was served cold and had to be microwaved by the poor staff who seemed overwhelmed and undertrained. How festive indeed! The starters were equally underwhelming. I could have sworn I tasted freezer burn in my soup, which is just unacceptable for a supposedly high-end dining experience. The uninspired presentation did not make matters any better; it felt like they simply threw some sad-looking dishes onto a plate and called it a day. And don't get me started on the dessert! I've never seen such unappetizing slices of apple pie in my life. They were clearly mass-produced and lacked any trace of freshness or flavor. It's safe to say that even a store-bought treat would have been more enjoyable. To top it all off, the service left much to be desired. The staff seemed disinterested , as if they couldn't wait for their shift to end. It took an eternity just to get someone's attention when we needed something, let alone receive any sort of friendly or efficient service. It truly baffles me how they had the audacity to charge £65 per person for this subpar excuse of a Christmas dinner. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless you enjoy eating mediocre food that has been lazily reheated in a microwave.

My Christmas dinner was cold and it was not fresh the turkey was as thick as a steak and so dry also the apple pie was not a pie it was a sponge apple with hardly any apple and it was only warm

Travelling to North Wales we needed somewhere for food. A quick 10-15 mns from M40. A very typical British pub but with a lovely fusion of Romanian food. What a lovely surprise. The food was plentiful and delicious. Reasonably priced. A lovely warm. Welcome and service. Friendly regulars who clearly appreciate the pub owner. Highly recommend.

Was passing through the village. Saw this pub and thought we should stop for some food and a cold beverage. So happy I did, good beer, good food and Bar staff are very friendly. Will definitely visit again.

Excellent little pub ultra friendly and spotless.

Arrived as it opened at 12 mid day (Friday) had a nice lunch. Etc. Great pub. Would use it again anytime.

Pulled into the car park at this pub shortly before it opened. An Eastern European woman came out and told us we "weren't customers and to get out of her car park now" So we did "get out of her car park now" and needless to say we never became customers. Edit in response to owner comment: We parked there about 9.50am and were told to "get out" a few minutes later - nowhere near 30 minutes as we were both still at our car. Their unwelcoming & aggressive attitude drove away customers and drove this review.

Quiet for a Saturday, nice for sitting outside.

First visit last night. Lovely pub, nice setting. Catered for all. The manager/owner of the pub couldn't have been nicer! Such a friendly, welcoming host. Was very quiet in there for a Friday night but still enjoyed the experience! Thank you for a lovely evening :)

Lovely staff and really good food. I recommend this place for events or if u wanna just hang out with friends. I love Wednesdays specially. They do open mic and i really enjoyed the family like atmosphere there. Definitely u need to check this out .

First of all fantastic staff so friendly a comfortable pub clean and tidy .

Amazing countryside feel and brilliant warm atmosphere. Definitely a local friendly place but it was very welcoming for us on our way along the walk. Prices decent and service was excellent. Very nice young lady working behind the bar to help us. World definitely recommend for anyone around.

We came to the pub for a small family get together, we have never been before and it was a fantastic atmosphere,the live music was great and the food was superb. The bar staff happily replaced our drinks when it reached the end of the barrel and made sure we were happy with our drinks! They couldn't have done enough to make us feel comfortable! We will definitely be going again and can't wait to see what other music they have! All round great experience,it's a shame more people don't visit.

Google said open ‘til 1am so drove a while to get there after dropping daughter at a friends who we then had to pick up at 12 so looked for a late opening venue for a drink and to wait until time to pick her up as no point going home … It was closing at 11 like all the others around Iver so not only no good but failed to get a drink anywhere!! Says venue updated opening hours about 6 weeks ago so suggesting they keep more up to date if closing times changing

Delicious home made Romanian food, freshly cooked to order. We had minced pork with rice and saurcraat wrapped in cabbage leaves, served with polenta. Pudding was freshly cooked doughnuts with blueberry sauce. Outdoor, under cover seating area. Relaxed atmosphere. Reasonably priced.

Not what we expected. Ordered fish and chips and a pizza. Order took forever to come and when it came the food was all freezer food. Fish was pre battered from a supermarket. pizza was the same cooked from frozen. Peas with the fish and chips were from a tin and cold. It was disgusting - all of it. Will never walk into this pub again.

This small pub punches way above its weight. The staff are fantastic, the food and drink are great. Tip: they'll do you nice English, but go Romanian! Sarmale! They have amazing Romanian weddings every weekend and the food! Avoid the big pub chains. Go local. Go Bucharest! Not to be missed. And right next to #atflowerland

Food was not how it supposed to be. Waitress forgot what we ordered and asked us 3 times and still didn't get what we ordered. Music was really nice and created a friendly environment. Looking forward to go back to see if that bad service was just for that evening.

First visit there the place seemed nice and cosy however i did feel the drinks were on the pricier side Also when I ordered some chilli nuts the staff behind the bar didnt poor them in a container he used his hands and took handfuls out without washing his hands and put them in a small container this is a no no in my book so i would probably never eat here either would i go again I doubt it

My wife and I often use this pub at lunch times wonderful food ( not microwaved ) great value for the money best family run pub in the whole area always make you feel welcome have been there for a few evenings great friendly atmosphere highly recommend you make a visit.

The Whip is the most amazing pub. Great for all ages, the staff are so friendly and efficient. The landlady and landlord are the very best. They go the extra mile to make the pub the best place to be. Just love it.
