Really delicious Sunday roast, one of the best I have had in a while! Love that bread sauce was included and there was unlimited delicious gravy. The server were really helpful and friendly especially the manager who was super friendly. The choice on the menu was also great. Thank you and we will definitely be back

We come here from time to time and was greatly surprised with the improvement in the menu and choice offered. Steak, lamb were cooked to perfection and both washed down with accompanying wine served at a perfect temperature. Service was good and the servers polite. All in all, good value indeed.

We didn’t go in the end. They cancelled the night before. A sewage problem apparently. They sent us to The Royal Saracen’s Head. Not good.

We waited nearly half hour for an inedible meal . Kids cheeseburger - no cheese and overcooked patty Ordered cooked patty Over cooked fries Dirty burger with bulled beef - - what we got was substandard cheeseburger patty And the INEDIBLE HARD AS A ROCK SAUSAGE in a child Sausage and mash . I even dared the waitress to cut the thing in front of us - THE KNIFE COULDNT EVEN PUNCTURE THE ROCK HARD SHELL - you could hammer a nail with it ! clearly poor food - you need a new chef ! This place used to be Amazing - don’t know what’s changed but can’t eat there anymore - we paid for the sides which were also overcooked and the drinks and left .

If you value your time and pocket do not come here. We went on Saturday evening for a pre christmas family celebration and it was the worst experience. The service was slow, the portions were tiny. We waited over an hour for starters, which were tiny. Followed by mains which were bland and to end with dessert which was too sweet. They knocked 20% off the bill to to think that would justify anything but it didn't. The lack of respect, remorse was disgusting. Waitress was slow, asked for water about 10 times which she couldn't remember. It wasn't a full house. Seems like the only thing they focus on here is the bar and that's all. Please save yourself and choose somewhere else.

Booked this restaurant because of the reviews that I found on line, However I couldn't have been more disappointed. The staff were pleasant but gave really slow service and the venue was not busy at all. Food was well presented but was so very average and consequently far too expensive for what we received. However my biggest problem is that we ordered 3 Fillet steaks and were given below average sirloins instead with no explanation and no reduction in cost. I could not raise this at the time with the staff however I have taken it up by way of a complaint. Before anyone thinks I am confused about what type of steak I was given I can ASSURE you I am not and I know there difference between types of steaks! I feel total ripped off and conned by the staff.

We went there today for food/drinks. We were served by Nicholas and Ishani. They were so polite, helpful and welcoming waiters that we’ll definitely be back. Food was fantastic. Great atmosphere.

Mind wateringly expensive even for the location. Was not asked for food allergies at any point. Had to offer that information and that just caused chaos in the allergen belong added to the food! This was spotted before delivery but really didn’t give me any confidence and I am not convinced that the food was recycled with traces of the allergen as I had a minor reaction that totally spoilt my visit. The rest of the party seem to enjoy their food but asking about food allergies is common place these days so shocked that it was not asked for.

Came in on a Monday Evening and had great service from Leah and Anissa who attended to our every need. The food was very nice and didn’t take very long to reach the table. Would 100% recommend.

Came today for a meal (27th October 2024) table of 5 one with a wheelchair. Shown to the table all fine apart from being dark on our table when we asked for the lighting to be turned up as we couldn't see the menus we were told it couldn't as it was auto and couldn't be changed, it was so bad we had to use torches just to see the menus!!. Ordered the drinks and asked for ice in one of the drinks no ice!! Asked again still no ice 😒. Had to ask about the chef special board then we Ordered our meals,then told there was no fish(2 people had ordered this) so ordered from the chef special board (hake)and asked if one could be changed from potato to chips. Just before our meal was brought to the table the server said there couldn't change the chef special (Hake) and had to order a separate bowl of chips(disappointed!!). Ordered puddings and one of the dishes didn't come with the drink again asked again and eventually it came no sorry. Then told we had to leave the table as we had been on it for 2hrs!!. Was not impressed by the whole experience and my partner and I come here often with our dog in the dog bar which is normally fine. It all seem very rushed!!!.

Stopped here to meet my brothers for a quick drink before going elsewhere. Apparently didn't play the hide-and-seek game to validate parking, as a week later I got a £100 parking fine. I'm not sure I'd have come if I'd known my half of lager was going to set me back more than the concert tickets for the evening. I'm sure the food is good and the ambience is nice, but that's ensured I'm not telling anyone to come here.

We met friends at th8s pub and had a great lunch, drinks and coffee. We were served by Harry who looked after us very well and wish him well in the future. Xx

A nice little pub/restaurant just a little bit different from the normal and very nice. The service was really good attentive staff but not overbearing checked in regularly with us and kept our drinks full ! I had the trio of meat my only slight criticism was it was not hot ...it was warm at best but still tasted really good Had the cheese for desert and was really nice ! I little more expensive maybe than some however I think it was worth the extra great atmosphere great staff we stayed in the bar after for a few drinks...

I used to live in Gerrard's Cross in the 60's and now live in Colorado. When I pop home each year to visit family, we always stop at the Apple. They have great food choices and service, great location and attention to detail. The venison when available has been superb. We thoroughly recommend for anyone to pop in for a great meal.

This place honestly deserves 5 stars but not the best experience on a night out here. The staff were young lads, they were a chef down but service was well off.

We had a lovely celebration meal here for a group of 13, all food was served together and was well presented and tasted great. Staff were very friendly and attentive too.

Been previously and loved it. After last night not so much. An extra £5 for 2 scallops with the belly pork felt a little steep. Our starters and cocktails took forever to arrive. Blonde waitress then almost chivvied us on our starters as our mains were ready. It appeared chaotic last night. Staff did not appear to managing the tables adequately. Finally hot chocolate machine was turned off at 2130. Apology was in passing and substitute was tea. If this was my first time I would not be recommending. This is the 5th time I have been here in 6 months and am hoping last night was a blip.

Plenty of outdoor seating in a pleasant garden. We only had a starter each but both were delicious (scallops; goats cheese). Service was friendly and efficient. We ate outside but inside looked very inviting.

Very small portion of meat for a Sunday roast. Be careful when you go to pay by card. If you don’t want to leave an additional tip on top of the service charge, click on other and enter zero. Decent size parking which is free but remember to enter the registration plate when you enter the pub Roasted potatoes were bland. Roast chicken was tender but bland.

Driving from Birmingham to Kent we decided to find a nice pub for lunch and give the services a miss. So glad we did. The Apple Tree on the A40, hidden gem of a pub. It had a nice garden with a fair amount of tables. The menu is really good lots of choice. We shared baked Camembert, very tasty for main we both had the linguine with prawns and scallops. £20.50 each May se a little expensive but it was well worth it. The scallops and prawns were good to perfection, the chorizo add spice and even more flavour. Hats off to the chef for this one. The car park is an odd shape and quite narrow in places, the spaces seem narrow too so take care.

Roast dinner ok but nothing special. Had to send roast potatoes back as some were black and rotten in the middle. Overcharged on bill but this was rectified.

It was our first time but certainly not the last. The place is beautiful, cozy, the staff were attentive and friendly, and the Sunday roast was the best I've had. Also the bread... it was devine. Overall, I couldn't think of any constructive critisism, it was an excellent experience.

I have been a regular for sometime but yesterday I was disappointed. Reason being that all the main fish dishes were not available . In future it would be helpful at the booking stage to alert customer .

Lovely place but I agree with other reviews - it isn’t at all clear that you will get a £60-£100 parking fine if you don’t enter your vehicle registration and this was not flagged at the bar by the server either. A warning to other customers! Do contact the pub if this happens to you unexpectedly

We visited theApple Tree today, 31st March. The food was absolutely beautiful but sadly, the service really let the experience down. We stood in the lobby waiting for our table and watched at least 4 members of staff completely ignore us. We had to say to a staff member that we were here for our table to even be acknowledged. Someone on our table ordered a Bloody Mary, this was prepared for them with no questions asked about how spicy they want it, the drink had a lot of tobasco sauce but was replaced without it straight away. The plates were left on the table for too long after us finishing the meals and our drinks took a long time to come to the table. The restaurant was probably half full so it wasn’t overly busy. We watched two female staff members chatting while our drinks were waiting on the bar. This review is purely constructive as it’s a shame about this when the food is so amazingly presented and is absolutely delicious. I would love to return to The apple Tree just with better service. Thank you for a delicious Easter lunch!

I've eaten here (with my family) twice in the last few days, I was impressed. Friendly staff and a well rounded menu with something for everyone. OK, I'm pretty certain that most of the food is prepared off site and whilst there is nothing wrong with that, it does mean they'll never get five stars from me. The food we ordered and was served was good quality, nicely presented, decent sized portions, and used good quality ingredients. Many places these days are milking their long-suffering customers and blaming it on "cost of living", I felt the The Apple Tree prices were at about the right level for the product. The place is nicely furnished and clean. Car park is a bit cramped and make sure you "check in" your registration on arrival or risk a charge. It's unfortunate the owners have felt the need to contract with a rip-off cowboy parking outfit to 'manage" the parking.

Unbelievable never again!!!!! My partner and I visited this establishment yesterday to celebrate our 5th year anniversary which was completely ruined!! The evening started off quite pleasantly with newly appointed staff member Maria from Canada as our waitress. I asked Maria to remove a pot of mayonnaise from the table which she subsequently spilt over my black coat. She then began to sponge off the mayonnaise leaving my coat sopping wet. Maria was very embarrassed and apologetic about whole incident. Maria said she would find out how i would be reimbursed for my coat. After which a foul mouthed manager called Susie came to tell us we were rude to her waitress which was a lie!!! to be honest we barely reacted to the event. Susie contined to berate my partner loudly then threw a business card at him then stormed off. At that point my appetite was ruined and could no longer eat as I was so upset. The food was removed and bill presented in which my partner asked for manager to discount the bill in regards to my coat. He first asked for an apology in which Susie refused and then started shouting and accusing us of rudeness to her staff and that we did not want to pay you just could not make this up we could not get a word in as Susie was full of her own importance. We have never been so humiliated ever!!! I would like the thank the lovely young lady who was a waitress who apologised to us just before we left Thank you so very much.

We had a quick, impromptu lunch. Arrived without booking and were lucky enough to be seated straightaway. I had a salt and pepper squid followed by fishcakes and both dishes were very tasty.

The food was great. Full of flavour and hot and just really excellent. Me and my daughter are both chefs and thought the food was really good.

We visited today (09/03/2024) for an early Mother’s Day lunch. Visiting was myself, husband and 2 children (2 years old and 4 month old baby). - Parking is on site which is great and the time we visited appeared to be a good time as there was space right outside - which was convenient for us with the pram. You can register your car upon entry and don’t have to worry about a limit on how long you spend because it gave us until the next day. - Decor was beautiful. - Food was delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection. Drinks selection was great. I couldn’t drink but did really want a cider so it was great that they had an alcohol-free cider option. We ordered the salt and cracked black pepper as well as the chicken liver pâté for starter and both were delicious. We then ordered the maple glazed pork with scallops for mains and this again, absolutely delicious! For our daughter we ordered the sausage and mash and this went down well. We even asked if the sausage and mash could be brought out first because our daughter was getting cranky from getting hungry and they did, so this was great. For dessert, I had the trio of desserts which was amazing! My favourite was the berry pavlova. My husband had the trio of ice cream with triple chocolate cookie - he said this was very nice. - Service was brilliant. Staff were so attentive and friendly. Our daughter was getting rather cranky but they were really accommodating and understanding. At one point, mine and my husband’s food was ready but the gentleman noticed I was about to feed my son so he asked if we wanted him to keep the food warm until we’re ready so this was such a great touch - very thoughtful. The young lady serving us for the duration was lovely and friendly. The gentleman who helped us with paying the bill was also very friendly, he even said he apologises if anything in the venue was the reason for my daughter crying, but we reassured him it was just because she had got hungry at that point. This was comforting as parents to know that people can be so understanding. Feedback - the only thing I want to mention is that the temperature was very warm in the dining area. However, this did not take anything away from having an enjoyable meal together. Overall, we were very happy with everything and definitely visiting again in the future. Thank you to all staff there for such wonderful service, and compliments to the chef because the food was amazing!

Out in a large birthday group so was expecting a few problems. This was not to be the case. Both Darrel and Maria were both very attentive and made us feel very welcome. Having a few children with us they understood keeping them happy also was key to an enjoyable evening. Kids meals came out hot and the same time as starters. All meals were of a good size came to the table hot and looked appetising. We had a varied variety of meals all 13 were happy with what was served. Glasses were never empty either with water or alcohol will Be going back and will Definitely recommend to friends and family

We received a very warm welcome and the atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant was very homely. The young waitress looking after us was exceptional, she was very friendly, polite and attentive and made us very welcome. The food we had was first class, there was an extensive variety of choice on the menu so we were very spoilt. We all agreed that we would definitely be going back to the Apple Tree.

Delicious roasts and the chicken burger was amazing! Really nice atmosphere too. The tables are spaced out nicely.

First evening visit, food was nice and it was good value Could have done with more waitresses, the two I see were run off their feet . However, they were still extremely polite and nice. I see the restaurant is indeed dog friendly. Personally I strongly disagree with this for hygiene and allergy reasons
