It's a traditional local that doesn't serve food , but a friendly pub with a good selection of well-kept beers and ales.

We called in here, after a very wet and muddy walk. We were welcomed, even with our filthy kit on. Not a posh place, but pleasant. Didn't stay long enough to give 5 stars

A fantastic Village pub , excellent staff very friendly all the local,s make you feel so welcome. great selection of Real ale ,Lager and wide selection of Gin,s they even do cocktails. Recomend the quiz night every Tues, a great laugh and a good night out. They hold various events throughout the year Live music,bingo etc etc If you get chance call in you wont be disapointed

It's OK for the right reasons. The bar is a time lock. Nice seeing area thru the pub. Would not change it for the world.

Great friendly pub, a warm welcome. No food sold though but they are quite happy to give you advice on takeaways local. Good selection of beers, competitive prices. Sadly like most local pubs not enough people use them. I would visit here again.

Stood outside Wheatsheaf Inn to buy fish and chips at the van that was parked there selling them. Very nice

Beautiful pub, friendly people and great service.

Service was absolutely terrible stood around for 10 minutes waiting to be served new people walked into bar and the staff served them. Before me and didn't even take my order worst service ever

The wheatsheaf is a fabulous village pub. It's a shame there isn't more like it

My Dad's sister Mary, lives in Staindrop. This pub is on her doorstep so it would be her ideal place if she wanted to go out to a pub.
