Great atmosphere and great place to play pub games like darts and domino's.

Good food and a good beer great bunch of lads and lasses get in there

The best mixed grill in Donny, lived here all my life and never been before. Make sure you book a table ahead of time. We had a great time here and a birthday celebration meal, the staff made us feel welcome, we will go again soon. The food is very good, great selection of drinks behind the bar.

My dad and I love it. The food is always fantastic, we've never been disappointed. Colin, Donna and all of their staff are always kind and helpful and friendly. Sunday carvery is to die for. Thank you all so much for everything.

Great pub good beer and great atmosphire

My friend and I were made very welcome. We had a delicious meal the portions were more than ample and nicely presented. I will eat there again and I would recommend.

Visited twice and had good meals both times and dog friendly.

Very friendly place, unfortunately they ran out beer, what they had was good. Would go back.

First time visiting since I was a youngster, and feels like the decor is still waiting to be updated too. That said, it was a friendly enough place with a good range of drinks, including the excellent Madri on draught, and what looked like a reasonable food menu

Best local in armthorpe without a second thought

Have had a few takeaway carvery's from here, they have been really nice and fresh and hot. The beef especially is very soft, big portion sizes. My only criticism, the times I have ordered it tends to be the same veg and never any different or in season. But generally really nice not having to cook them.

Just had a beautiful five star afternoon tea at the Sheaf, all cakes home made and delicious, sandwiches freshly made and lots of fillings. Will definitely go back again and again cannot recommend highly enough!

A great pub in a nice central location. A good selection of Beers and some good food. Sometimes they can stop serving food quite early. Some meals are quite expensive.

Good atmosphere enjoyable but sat with coat on as was too cold for comfort.

Decent local, beer is a little over priced though tbh. Social is far better value.

A lovely pub in the heart of the village, where Colin and Donna make you feel very welcome. Good fun quiz night on a Sunday. Good atmosphere and good food as well. Totally recommend the Real Ales.

The Wheatsheaf is a well laid out pub. The beers are average to good. There is no real beer. The staff and customers are friendly. The pub is across the road from Armthorpe Welfare FC and could be the aftermatch base where their players and staff chill down with a drink.
