Well we’re do I start tonight everything swimming in grease again, the fish inside the thick crunchy batter had escaped the chips were ok and the curry sauce but I have decided that I will not be ordering my Friday fish supper anymore

fish cake was very mushy would not order again

Sausage was nice chips were a little over done but otherwise it was ok

Not had anything from here in almost 25 years as it was my grandparents local chip shop, but I will say it was just like memory lane the chips were just perfect the fish and batter just lovely the chip shop sauce delicious 5* perfection

First time ordering. Start with the postives the fish was nice and the peas were nice however the chips were green and horrible

had a delivery from this place last week was brilliant, but the order today was poor, overcooked chips and scampi, very disappointed.

delicious food and great service. one item missed and we offered to pick it up ourselves but they couldn't of been more apologetic and got it to our house so quickly. great service!

I had book this delivery before the restaurant was even open so expected our food to come on time, this is booked for a house of people with learning disabilities so it is difficult to explain to them why there food wasn’t there, when it did turn up it was freezing cold 😩 very disappointed.

For the last couple of weeks they have not been as good tonight the Greece was dripping on my plate and I had to wipe most of it off with 2 pieces of kitchen towels we will be giving Alverly chippy a rest for the time being as the quality as really dropped

Fish was very nice but the chips were very dry and not as hot as usual a little disappointed today

Not as good as normal half of the fish was just batter some of my chips could have been cooked a bit longer and everything was swimming in fat. I felt like they could have been busy tonight but I will still order from them because they normally are excellent fish n chips

Food was good, glad to see the option to have sauces seperate on the meal deals. We had a couple items missing, but we had some good customer service when I called up. They were busy, and a missing childrens drink isn't anything to cause a fuss over. Overall, very happy with the order.

Decent amount of scraps on point Chips were lovley and light and fluffy on point gravy curry sauce to die for fish delicious best chippy by far :)

Our go to chippy. Was just a bit disappointed that we didn’t get our free onion rings tonight and the sausages weren’t battered. Other than that 10/10

Paid for three tubs of peas only received one still haven’t been reimbursed. Food was Luke warm. Free onion rings I would not of bothered can’t help but think it was the end of the night and there wasn’t any left mainly got scraps of batter. No I would not order again disappointing I have had food from there before and rated it.

Easily the best chippy in Doncaster and I’ve eaten a lot in my days. Big crispy fish, chunky well cooked chips (without scabby bits in them). They even do scraps! Give it a go, its beaut.

Unfortunately the chips were soggy as was the batter on the mini fish and sausage, the mini fish was very mini no more than a tail & the homemade fish cake lacked fish and seasoning, staff need to let the oil drain before packing and make sure the oil is to temp before putting in the chips Edit: To the owners response, whilst I appreciate you are a small business and times are difficult for all, Google reviews are a personal review of your services,no 2 will be the same, however I appreciate honest reviews and I read them before trying, I wouldn't ask for a refund the food wasn't inedible just not up to par, Saturday 12th

Great fish and chips. Generous portions. Only slight gripe is we asked for salt and vinegar and didn’t get any on the food. Maybe they missed the notes but didn’t affect food quality at all

Food was n8ce but a bit disappointed with chip portion size. I ordered regular and came in a smallish tray just level filled. Barely filled quarter of a dinner plate! I get more chips from my local chippy with sausage and fishcake meal deal all on one tray....for just £1.60 more than the chips here cost...

The best Fish and Chips I've ever had perfectly cooked. Falls to pieces in the mouth. Chips were fresh 😋 they cook the fish fresh to order would definitely recommend a visit. Please note they request you to pay in cash if you can but card payments are accepted as well but they are charged for the card service.

Food was lovely but I was tracking the delivery and the driver looked like he went somewhere in Bally first it was a grouped order so food was only Luke warm when it came
