Simply the best fish and chips !!!!

Absolutely delicious food, at great prices and excellent service. We dined in the restaurant, and were extremely surprised at the very reasonable prices, £10.50 for medium fish and chips, and £13.50 for the large version. I went for the large, and despite being very hungry having skipped breakfast, I couldn't quite finish my meal. Service was very friendly and prompt, and the restaurant and toilets were spotlessly clean. The food was cooked perfectly, and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. My only negative is that, living 60 miles away, I can't visit more often. Outstanding!

Wonderful place. My Haddock was cooked to my order and was not kept warm in a cabinet. The chips were nicely cooked, not pale yellow and tasteless. Excellent service with personable staff. I was delighted with my dinner here.

Best Fish and Chips in the area. Supported them throughout the Pandemic even though the Takeaway queing on the street was not the best.

Never eaten in, in the current incarnation, but the fish and chips are superb from the takeaway so I imagine would be as good if not better eaten 'on site'. Customer service in the take away is 'variable'; closing times seem very random.

We are a Motorcycle Club and we have an annual Fish Supper at The Wharfe. This evening 40 of us enjoyed their fish & chips, served to us outside at their picnic tables. Great service, tasty supper.

We met friends today at The Wharfe Fish and Chips restaurant we all enjoyed our meals which were perfectly cooked and the staff really pleasant and efficient. We will return thank you

An above average fish and chip shop

Look at the young ladies working this evening. When ordering from the take out section noticed the bin outside was overflowing with boxes of FULL fish and chips meals.... We should have been wise to this and avoided however, because we had been here twice before and the food was lovely we went ahead and ordered... Staff got the order wrong which wasn't a big deal and the food itself was of good quality BUT, the young ladies laced the food in salt which made it inedible, very disappointed and will not return after this.

Very tasty and reasonably priced . And we are fussy with our fish and chips.

What a beautiful little fish and chip shop! The dining area is very light and inviting with a nice view of the church and the blossoms in the spring. I had a great lunch here, the chips were cooked to perfection and the fish was great. I am looking forward to when I am next in Otley so I can visit again.

Absolutely 💯 gorgeous, we had been for a walk at Chevin Forest Park and googled fish and chips and The Wharfe came up as being open and 5 star, it was a long wait to be served but that was because it was so busy, we had fish and chips with scraps, I ate the lot Absolutely delicious 😋

This is our favourite fish & chip shop ever, i refuse to eat them any where else! Even if i go miles out for the day and fancy fish & chips😁.. i will always drive here, there the tastiest best ever...my mouth is watering thinking about them now....they are a luxury these days...so why go anywhere else, ...

Ordered and paid for 3 children's meals. Then to be told there are no children's drinks, or sides in stock. No compensation or anything offered! Very disappointed.

Food was far too greasy I had to throw mine I couldn't eat them

Wanted to give five stars as we've had 2 good visits to The Wharfe. Unfortunately, our fish batter (all three fish) was undercooked last night (22nd Dec), which made about half of it inedible. Fish and chips has become an expensive treat so I was a bit disappointed. Hope this is just a learning thing for the frier as the previous two visits were excellent, with friendly service.

Terrible service was waiting half an hour 5 people behind getting served before me, turns out they forgot my order! No apology or nothing.

Great service, great food and friendly atmosphere. The restuarant is a hidden gem with beautiful furnishings; clearly a lot of love has gone in to it. A must go when visiting Otley.

This was takeout - got chips from here. Chips were good. Service was prompt. Can't say much for the atmosphere cos we were literally in and out. Went to sit by tittybottle park to each the chips on the river. There is dine in available and there is a wheelchair accessibility entrance. Well placed to get a quick bite to eat either eating in or take away.

I really love the fish and chips from The Wharfe (and I am quite fussy) but it’s so frustrating that it is so often shut, and you only find out when you turn up hungry and excited!

Every summer We come through to otley from Bradford to go to park and before we go home we always come for fish and chips here we always enjoy them delicious 😋

Really disappointed tonight with our fish and chips. The batter was completely undercooked and inedible. Normally good fish and chips at the Wharfe worth 4 star but tonight if I lived a bit closer I would have driven back with the inedible batter and asked for a refund.

Fish was cooked fresh, and coated with a super light and very tasty batter, chips where light and crispy and cooked to perfection. I also ordered a side of curry sauce and peas, the mushy peas were outstanding, however the curry sauce was just standard chip shop curry sauce and was a bit on the sweet side for my tastes. And the thing that pushed it to earn a 5 star review was....... Free batter scraps oh yes who does not love something for free 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. There is a nice bench area at the back to sit and eat with bins provided too. Nice to see that it was all sustainable packaging and bamboo forks too 😀 we came here on the back of the Google reviews and we were not disappointed ! Keep it up guys, the Rochdale chap.

Just recently moved to Otley and needed to find a good chip shop as I love sausage and chips! Always known this place was here as I've been coming to Otley alot for the past 25 years but never been in. Now that I've tried their food I can safely say that I'm in love with their food! The chips are cooked to perfection, the batter is amazing and to top it all off, you can have cheesy chips too! Will always come here again and again!

At the end of our visit to Otley, we called into the Wharfe fish and chip shop and we weren't disappointed. We got fish and chips to takeaway and had them in the car, parked up in North Parade car park. The chips were gorgeous but the fish was superb, lovely big flakes of fish. They don't stint on portions and we had some left to have for tea with something else. Next time in Otley, we will be calling in again, highly recommended and my wife, whose father had been a fish shop owner and fish merchant was very impressed.

Always a VERY long wait for fish and chips, dont know why they don't make some in advance as there's always a queue. they were absolutely beautiful as usual! Need to stop being so strict kicking people out the shop and making them wait outside even in the pouring rain. And we tried the restaurant but the woman was so rude we left before we could even order

Lovely food, been there twice now, nice and clean and friendly.

The fish here is amazing, we've been a few times and every time we wax lyrical about the fish, a light, crispy and tasty batter. This is closely followed by black pudding and haggis fritters, food of the gods! The chips are also great (don't get me wrong) but the fish is the best we've had in Leeds.

Beautiful, seem to be made fresh everytime, piping hot , batter lovely and light and crispy. The only time I have fish and chips nowadays is when I travel from North Lincolnshire back to Otley some weekends. They can't seem to be able to make fish and chips over here like they do in Otley 😁

These are the best fish & chips in Otley! Highly recommended! Generous portions & they cook them fresh & if you want them well-done & crispy, as I do, then they will accommodate! The Wharfe has both take-away and sit-down restaurant facilities too. Enjoy!!
