Came to see the band and had a couple of bottled cider. Great atmosphere 👌

What a great pub to have a post ⚽️ pint in with the 🚂 station only 10 minutes away. 5 solid, well kept cask ales - all from Yorkshire. Top class service and friendly regulars make for a worthwhile detour up to this pub 👍🏻

Another great night at the Wharf! Always a warm, friendly welcome from Chris and his staff. It's a fab venue for some excellent live music, the beer and company are good and there's art on the walls, what's not to like?

The best pub in the North West. A combination of old-fashioned community pub with well-kept craft beers and brilliant canal-style decoration. Very characterful, welcoming and a really varied clientele. The landlord has a good ear for music and whatever is on here is likely to be a world-class blues or acoustic act.

A great traditional pub with canalside art displayed in the bar structure and genuine Victorian features. The ales were from top independent breweries and all kept in tip top condition.

Nice quiet pub. Real ale as well as keg beers. Seating well spaced out for social distancing. Small beer garden through the pub.

Brilliant pub. I don't drink and only go in pubs if my band are playing there! However, the WHARF offered not one but FOUR different types of no/low alcohol beers. Outstanding

There's a good selection of well kept beers here and a pool table. It's dog friendly. However when we visited the pub was let down by the sorry state of the little beer garden at the back. It was littered with cigarette packets, cigarette ends on the floor everywhere, overflowing ashtrays, weeds growing up through the paving flags. There was also an enormous pile of dog poo in the corner that had clearly been there for some time. Shame.

Why why why take tv off the wall before world cup

A really friendly place, with a welcoming atmosphere. The bar is delicately painted with canal boat style artwork and there are lots of games to play. On the night I visited there was curry leftover from a cribbage match so we were even given free food. They have a huge selection of board games including backgammon. What a great pub!

A massive improvement on what this pub was like in the 80's. Good beer in a pleasant environment.

Super little locals pub up the hill distance from Macclesfield centre to make it none to crowded, yet for those in the know, a great bolt-hole from the hub-bub of the centre. Very handy for the canal and narrowboat marina which is a mere cock-stride away. Great range of cask ales. Most friendly. Recommended.

One of Macclesfield's great pubs, run by a man who knows the theory behind fine ales! Pool table is as good as the excellent ale choice. A friendly warm local in the traditional vein but far from staid :)
