Romazzino in Cheshire East

A fantastic, proper Italian restaurant run by Pepee, we were served by Ellie and Ellis, two friendly, courteous, kind and knowledgeable professionals. Great menu choices, a wood fired pizza oven and daily specials. The food was awesome, well prepared and presented. I had grilled sardines to start and a Tomahawk Pork chop for my main. Great atmosphere with a lovely buzz and good value. Excellent wine list.

Probably the worst restaurant I have visited in 40 years of dining. We politely complained about the food and the owner accused me of not knowing my food and that I must be 'an expert' because I complained. Several staff then continued to be aggressive and abused my Son, at which point I had to call the police who advised me to walk away from the situation, which we did. I have never been so humiliated in my life front someone who is meant to be in a customer service industry.

We havnt been for a while, but it didnt disappoint, food was lovely just one thing if you order a spag bol dish bring your own spoon, i know italians eat it with just the fork, but i really wanted a spoon but was offered a dessert spoon didnt really work, saying all that i enjoyed it.

Thank you to the entire Romazzino team for providing such an amazing experience today (27/03). The service staff was incredibly professional and warm, maintaining the highest standards while also engaging in friendly conversations and offering kind words. The chef crafted one of the best menus we’ve ever had (and we love to travel around Europe to explore great dining). You truly made our day extra special and set a new benchmark for future dining experiences. We are so grateful for your kindness and exceptional service. Thank you once again!

We had the pleasure of visiting Romazzino earlier this month for lunch, and what an amazing lunch it was. The restaurant was so lovely, great decor and a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere. We were welcomed and served by Luciana who was absolutely fantastic. All waiters need to be like Luciana, friendly, welcoming, kind and knows the menu inside out. The service we received was first class and the food was too. The menu is varied and offers something for everyone. The lasagne was one of the nicest we've ever had and all our food was absolutely delicious. Whenever we visit Nantwich this will definitely be our restaurant of choice, we cannot praise it highly enough.

The food and service here is excellent. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is the lack of atmosphere, and prices. If your looking for Italian food come here, if your looking for a destination with a meal then try the Paragon group of Gastro pubs.

Very new to the area and being fond of Italian food we thought "why not, lets try it". We certainly weren't disappointed. Even though we didn't have a booking, we were promptly greeted and efficiently served throughout. The food was excellent (we were driving, so unfortunately stuck to soft drinks this time) and we will definitely be going back to hopefully try the whole menu (over time). Edit since... Been here quite a few times now (pics are latest visit), and never disappointed at all. Proper nice grub!

Chefs are absolutely genius, enjoyed an amazing salmon fillet today and it was the best in Nantwich. Luciana is a fantastic waitress, she made our visit super special I hope we always have the pleasure of her expertise. Her knowledge of the menu and her friendly professional manner is a credit to the restaurant. Thank you for having us.

We visited Romazzino last night, and unfortunately, it was a disappointment. While the food was acceptable, the portions were very small, especially given the ridiculously high prices—far too expensive for what was served. The atmosphere was another letdown; the noise levels were far too loud, making it difficult to enjoy the meal. I was honestly relieved to leave. On top of that, the waiting staff looked miserable for most of the evening, which did nothing to make the experience more enjoyable. The only positive was the bottle of wine recommended by one of the waiters, which was a great choice. However, the menu descriptions were vague and didn’t really reflect what was actually served, leading to some disappointment. Overall, not somewhere I’d rush back to.

After 24 hours of consuming the meal in this place, couple of people suffers severe food poisoning including chills, diarrhea and vomiting. At the moment is reported to Food Standard Agency in Cheshire East Council. Spoke with manager who declines everything. She said that is difficult to proof. Also, no apologies received and any understanding for us. Very poor management. The place at high of risk of food contamination.

Been twice. Can not fault both visits. Both time I had the Carbonara, which was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal. It was a Saturday night and the place was packed, however our food arrived hot and in a timely manner. One of the servers (a young girl-not sure of her name) was fantastic. Very helpful, cheerful, polite and enthusiastic. She was great.

We went last night for my birthday, and although the food was fantastic, the service really let the place down. We arrived and were seated to find only 2 water glasses on the table, there were 3 of us so we had to ask for another. Once our first glass of wine was empty I had to flag down a waiter to come and take a second drinks order, at which point I asked to look at the wine list again to choose a different option. About 5 minutes later, a waiter came and removed the wine list but did not offer us any more drinks and walked off despite me trying to ask to order more, so again I had to flag down another waiter. During the meal, we finished our water and again had to flag someone down to ask for more. As we ordered dessert I ordered another glass of the red (I was drinking Apassimento) and the waiter said "yes yes the red" and walked off before I could finish my sentence, and when my wine arrived I was presented with the house red (Cab Sauv). All of the wait staff seemed as if they were simply *too busy* to actually want to listen and serve us, it felt like we were an inconvenience, and the fact I had to flag someone down constantly to get more drinks despite them walking past our table and looking at the empty glasses/ taking them away without offering more was not what I expected from a restaurant. The food itself was great but the service was so bad I will not be returning.

Mussels were gritty and only 2 prawns in the seafood pasta. We actually complained but no real result

A very busy restaraunt. Good food, pleasant staff. If you want a quiet place to eat this is not the place for you, lots of noise due to large parties. I would go again though.

Right so I'm giving 5 for the food and 5 for the service because the food really was lovely and so was our service. The atmosphere was 1* because my entire table overheard what i can only presume to be the manager, berating a member of her staff loudly and publicly. There was simply NO need at all to do that. Take them aside, go to the staff room etc, do not do that in public. It was awkward for the table and we felt absolutely awful for the poor waiter in question who looked so sad when he came back to our table. It doesn't matter what he did wrong, there is no excuse for berating him in public for a whole table to hear.

Had a really nice meal at Romazzino's on Monday evening. The new vegan menu was perfect and as usual the service was friendly and professional.

SO SALTY!!! Couldn't eat one meal (carbonara) and got told by the rude owner that it was our fault for ordering carbonara as the cheese is salty. Waitress was absolutely lovely with us, an absolute shame the owner had to lecture us on how carbonara is made and that we shouldn't order this dish in the future. No apology offered or offer of something else to be made. Side note - we have eaten carbonara all over the world and it is our fave dish! Definitely avoid this place.

Lovely authentic Italian. Lunch menu is great value. We had a lovely family get together just before Christmas

A lovely place for a meal. We went as a group, and all the food came out at the same time. We had many meals across the menu, and all were lovely. Only the big eaters on the table found the Ravioli to be on the smaller side of portion, but not an issue as we all had 3 courses, and it was quality over quantity.

Second time and still good. Third time is good, but my wife's pasta dish with shredded beef contained excess pesto.

WOW !! Fabulous restaurant, the food is second to none, Great staff, lovely owner.

service was slow, I had pate to start which was straight out of the fridge, too cold and pepperoni pizza which was too tomatoey, to be honest, domino pizza is much better. i would not recommend the restaurant based on my experience or eat here again

Decent quality food. Large portions. Friendly and accommodating service. Nice decor. All very good and no complaints but not amazing. And I've had amazing recently so in deference to them, this gets 4 stars.

Food choices more limited than other Italians I've been to. But the food was good. They serve what is on the menu - they don't have spaghetti!! We were sat right next to the open kitchen. Some seating (including ours) was up a half flight of stairs. The toilets were up a full flight, so not ideal if this is a problem for you. Parking is fairly close by and the restaurant is clearly visible on a main road.

Went for my partners birthday little expensive but top quality.

Great good, just asked for a table away from the kitchen. The food made up for that though.

Called in for their lunchtime special home made tomato and basil soup sandwiches made on fresh foccacia bread (with a good selection of fillings) and fries all for just £10.00 extremely good value and certainly delicious highly recommend it

Very expensive for what you are served unless you buy lots of side orders. But pushes the price up again.

I visited Nantwich for the first time and decided to try an Italian restaurant there. The interior of the restaurant had a relaxing atmosphere, and the staff was very attentive and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised by the price and size of the meals. I ordered the carbonara, which was delicious. I have been to other Italian restaurants before, but the portion sizes here were much larger. I felt that I got good value for my money. The only downside, in my opinion, was that we were given the option of tap water or bottled water. I understand why this is done, but I believe that water should be provided as a courtesy to the table, rather than as a way to make a profit. This is just my opinion, and it may be valuable feedback for the restaurant to consider in order to make customers feel more valued. Overall, I had a very positive experience and would definitely return to this restaurant. I would like to express my gratitude to the chef who prepared our meals and to the staff who provided excellent service.

Lunch time treat - Garlic flat bread, Carbonara, pasta with clams & prawns followed by coffee. Long wait between bread & main courses. Otherwise fabulous.

We dropped in during our canal trip, and it was worth it. I had the Pizzetta All'Oglio, and then Boscaiola Vegana, which was amazing. They have a lot of vegan options here. Highly recommended!

This was my first meal out in Nantwich after moving there from Manchester. It was recommended by neighbours and I wasnt disappointed. It has been a very long time since Ive had such good service and food. The staff are friendly polite and knowledgeable. It was lovely to see different age groups enjoying themselves. Also more unusual these days was to see the actual owner presnt! Obviously loves his business which is a joy to see rather than no one over 25yrs present in an attempt to save money that has a detrimental effect long term.For what we ate and drank the price was very reasonable. I will definitely be back.

8 of us visited here yesterday (Tuesday) 4 male 4 female, can’t comment on the other 3 couples meals but I ordered the belly pork starter, the top fat on the belly pork had not been rendered down and the meal was quite tasteless, I then had the wagu steak as did the other 3 males, when it came the other 3 dishes were lovely lean slices of wagu cooked perfectly rare to medium, mine on the other hand was only half the size of the other 3 and half the slices were mainly fat, I called the waiter (manager) and asked why mine was completely different from the other ones, he then said it’s because yours is the end piece so I said I don’t want the end piece and could he take it back and change it which he did, by the time mine came everyone else had finished there’s so I had to eat on my own, half was cooked rare to medium half was medium to well where they had obviously picked the decent pieces of my last plate and just cooked some more and put the two together, it had not been rested so was bleading all over my plate, when you are having 4 of the same meals to the same table you should make sure that all them meals are & look the same before they leave the pass, also when they brought out the mains they hadn’t replaced the cutlery so we had to ask for that, when he eventually brought my wagu dish he just threw it on the table and walked off (very rude) my wife also had a pasta dish as her main she said half the pasta was very hard the other half was soggy, when the bill came it was £373 so four of us (males) paid £100 each giving them a £27 tip, the waiters then tried to get another £100 payment from my wife and when told what they were doing just walked off with no apology or no thanks for the £27 tip and at no point throughout the entire meal starters or main did we get any check back, I run two Airbnb’s in Nantwich and have booklets recommending local eateries this being one, I have removed this from the booklets today as I can not recommend them and never will neither will I ever go back.

I absolutely love this place. We've been customers for the last two years and keep coming back. Today we chose halloumi fries for a starter and I have to tell you, they were delicious. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, spiced with herbs. The sauce was creamy and delicious. For my vegetarian main I decided to try the stuffed aubergine and it was divine. It was a vegan dish but I asked for cheese on the top. The sauce was yummy. The flavours of olives, capers and sun dried tomatoes was a perfect combination, especially when dipped in a yummy tomato sauce. The only comment I would have that on its own, it's not very filling. I ordered portion of fries with it. My other half ordered steak and chips, and his chips were covered in delicious parmesan. Overall amazing food. It's more expensive than what we are used to, but it's worth it. They also have a wide selection of pizzas and pastas, plus a whole vegan section and lots of gluten free to choose from. Place itself is beautiful and the service was perfect. Our waitress Allie was lovely. I would highly recommend it.

Very tasty food. I had risotto, which was delicious, but didn't really taste like risotto rice, more like just regular rice, but still very tasty. All in all very good, with good portion sizes.

Excellent Italian restaurant - great food

Went to rommizinos tonight for date night with my fiancé and I was very upset with my overall experience. We ordered two starters to start and I asked specifically if they had onions in and the waiter Told me no (because I really don’t like onions). So we ordered the halloumi fries and the rice dish and the rice dish had onions in which was specified they didn’t! Then we ordered mains and sides and my partner liked his but mine was meant to be pasta with salmon and there was no salmon at all!! Three stingy little pieces to be precise! Then our garlic bread and truffle fries. Garlic bread was nice but the truffle Chips just tasted like chips with green all over them. Not nice when your paying for a service and not receiving what you pay for, then came to pay (after complaining about all the above) and practically got called a liar for the onion situation to the point I said do you have cameras to prove my innocence. All the time While this is going on we are sat next to two drunk people (lady and a man) singing like strangled cats, really loud and being really rowdy. This experience will forever now stop me from going into rommizinos ever again as the staff We’re rude and the whole Experience was horrible. Overall the waiter took £4.50 off for our chips and our whole meal and 5 drinks we paid £103.30 in total and I disagree with this completely. Disgusting behaviour!!!

Lunchtime special available between midday and 6 pm offering two courses is fantastic value! Friendly,attentive staff and well supported so nice buzz in restaurant.

Disappointed. We have loved this place since we moved to the area but there’s been a few poor meals…willing to overlook. Then this - booked a table weeks in advance for Valentines. Only to receive an email 2 weeks later to say that we will have to have the set menu or cancel. We explained that neurodivergent and with dietary restrictions that wouldn’t suit. They didn’t want to know. No apologies, no alternative options just cancelled our table. We even explained we had visited twice in the previous week which was true and we were very regular patrons. Sadly this has made us think twice. As in independent small business owner myself customer service goes a long way. 🙃

There was a great choice for vegans or vegetarians (or meat-eaters like me who fancied something totally different)! The aubergine dish was absolutely delicious - TOTALLY RECOMMEND!

Wow. What a great experience From the service, to the food recommendations to the actual food itself - this could not have been better. I have been lucky enough to have eaten great food across the world and this experience is one of the best. A particular favourite was the pistachio pasta with guanciale - incredible. However the pizza was phenomenal too. I now want to try everything on the menu, it was so good. I have no idea why I haven’t been here before but I definitely will go back everytime I’m in Nantwich (and am looking forward to it). Highly recommended.

We were sat in a very interesting place, we could see all the food as it was being taken out which gave us inspiration for next time.

Very accommodating and excellent food

We had a varied selection of dishes from seafood to Italian. The staff were fast, efficient, friendly and polite. The service was spot on and very quick. We will definitely be going back again to try other dishes.

Nice olive oil and bread starter. Had veal and a mushroom pasta dish. Both that little bit different that made them interesting (in a good way)!

Had a delicious lunch here today with my family. They even sang Happy Birthday to me and put a candle in my ice cream! Such lovely staff.

We had a terrible experience the food had no seasoning whatsoever, the paste was all stuck together and the sauce was clumpy almost like it’s been microwaved. For £41 value for money wasn’t there. Ordered a large garlic bread yet it was the size of my hand definitely not a large..

Every time you visit this fabulous gem of a restaurant, you are treated like a friend. The staff are brilliant, the restaurant is beautiful and the food is DELICIOUS. We have dined at Romazzinos many times and have never been disappointed.
