I ordered some chips and they were awful tasted like they had been reheated and overpriced for £5

I went with family for a dinner. I have booked and when arrived takes about 15 min just to come and direct us to the table. Order a beer and took ages to come. I think they are concentrating in serve a birthday party downstairs of restaurant. Resume: Avoid dinner with your family at this place. And ask to remove the service fee. Maybe give direct to waitress if deserved.

Lovely place, nice and quiet though it was the late morning when I went. Food was delicious, lovely staff.

I wish I can give -0 rating!!! First time visiting a lounge/pub/restaurant with absolutely Zero sense of customer service!!! Arrived at the facility after a rainy day, decided to sit outside, met wet chairs and the staff couldn’t have the sense of service to assist with this, had to go back to reception and told the staff only to be handed a tissue paper to go and wipe our chairs ourselves. The lady even absolutely ignored us and intentionally attended to people that arrived after us. I came to SPEND not to beg. We had to leave when NONE of the staff approached us to take orders when they went to other customers table to take orders.

Had a few beers here with friends and lovely place to be. Cold beer too

The wharf is a nice place where you can have nice food and enjoy the view outside. The service was okish. The tables outside are needed to be clean.

Lovely setting. Very busy. Bar service was a bit slow. Food was lovely, especially the chilli pot.

Staff are miserable, seen more smiles at a funeral. You might hate your job but at least don’t show it to guests. Won’t come again.

Great location but the food is not as nice as it used to be, they used to be a lot better with allergens, the service is very slow and the chefs and staff don't seem to know what is in the food. Food is expensive for what it is, you can tell they use cheap meats

Nice fish and hash browns but NO atmosphere and the staff were unattractive. Some staff were really busy but others really relaxed and not a care about customers. Shame

Really gutted as this place has descended into trash. The only appeal left to venue is the lake view. My fiancé and I have been to this place numerous times, and it has gradually declined to the point we no longer want to visit. At the door we were told to find a table and could sit anywhere we want. However, all the free tables indoors had leftover food, crumbs, dirty used cutlery, used towels, empty bottles and glasses. So, we had to clear up one of the tables and moved the stuff off to one of the other tables that had trash. That was annoyingly disappointing and disgusting as that whole time none of the staff came around to clear up and clean the tables. Furthermore, the menu had been changed with a new menu that looks very limited. Typical pub menu nothing exciting and versatile🙄. Today, we reluctantly went back as it was sunny and felt like having a drink by the lake view to make for a good weekend. We disappointingly saw that once again there was quite a few indoor tables with dirty cutlery, plates, bottles and empty glasses. Whoever manages this place needs to step up!! We headed to the lake view at the back side and again were fronted by the same sight. We had to chose a table to clean up and again were surrounded by free tables all with dirty plates leftover food, empty glasses and bottles, napkins flying into the lake at times as dirt never gets cleared. All the time we were sat there, all customers who came to the lake view side had to clear up a table themselves by moving the stuff to a nearby table🙄. There was flies at times because of the dirty dishes left uncleared. This was once a nice special venue to bring visiting friends and family to but now it has turned into a trash pit. So gutting to see. It would be a solid venue with better management and staff being mindful about hygiene, tidiness, good food and drinks!! Unfortunately today we felt uncomfortable and had to leave sooner after one drink as we couldn't bare being sat next to that much filth.

We discovered this pub by accident..the food was the best I've tasted..tai curry..big portion..friendly staff and other customers..definitely worth a second visit.

Met some girlfriends for a lunch date all in all the food was good and one of our party who has food intolerances all her needs were met with no problem ie: GF & dairy. I ordered the chicken & walnut salad the chicken was on the dry side and there were no walnuts present on my plate. Pleased I ordered some chips too as the portion wasn’t big enough if you were really hungry. But all in all very simple lettuce few grapes couple bits of apple with some slaw looked good and my friends had a normal burger and chicken burger which they both said was nice enough for pub grub...

A great pub set next to a lake. You can walk around the lake. Pub is popular service was good. Outside bar on busy days. Live entertainment on occasions. Food menus change on a regular basis. Good quality and cooked fresh. Dogs welcome

Big disappointment! First we were waiting 10 minutes next to the reception desk. Then I asked them 4 times to clean the table, but I ended up cleaned it by myself after 30 minutes of waiting! Food tasted bad! For 2 kids pizzas , 3 portions of chips, some squid rings, 2 juices and 1 beer £50 🤦🏼‍♀️ And only beer and the juice was nice 😁

Such a beautiful pub tucked out the way, overlooking a lake. The food was delicious. I had haddock and chips, and it was bang on 😋

Nice and chilled pub by a lake, but service takes a long time

I had the seafood pasta which was overcooked, bland and seemed like it was cooked from frozen from the consistency of the seafood. Staff were marvellous though.

What sort of Pub runs out of draft beer and Guinness on a Thursday lunch time???

Great pub for meeting up with friends family. By the river so in tge summer you get a lovely view of the lake. Great food menu and good selection of beers ale

I went here with my girlfriend for a nice meal before a party and I'm so glad we did. The staff are very friendly with smiles all round. We had seafood spaghetti which was delicious to say the least and finished off with the bourbon vanilla cheesecake, if you like cheesecake it's a must try. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone

Sunday roast was horrible and the staff didn’t care

Staff are so polite, friendly and go the extra mile, so dog friendly. Our dog absolutely loved the afternoon. Happy Beagle means a very happy mum and dad. The food was so tasty, fantastic quality and beautiful colours. Can't wait to visit again, thank you for such a lovely, relaxing and enjoyable afternoon.

Service was very slow and poor service Took over 3 hours to have a simple meal. Many items where unavailable. Pity as nice venue and what we did have was good.

Few family members have reported feeling sick later on after eating here. Whereas for me I eventually was sick.

Had a great meal, good menue with drinks. Worth a visit; this was a surprise the place is all wood finish building with outdoor eating. Very good atmosphere and "DOG FRIENDLY" easy parking and a lake as the backdrop. Try this place has a bar so pop in for a switf one to check it out; then you can see if you agree with me.

Good place BUT they serve chicken and wings with feathers. Oh no!!! in my country we don’t eat feathers but I can see in Britain they like it too much !! lol I strange things! I recommend the chef revise it.

A busy, family & dog friendly pub. Although located within a business estate, it still had a village feel, and looks out over a small lake. Good food and a decent selection of drinks.

After hearing the wharf had started doing roast dinners again we thought we would try it. Turned out to be not such a good idea. After being shown to our booked table we had to wait 15 minutes for a waitress to take our drink order then another 10 minutes for drinks. Their was no attempt to take or food order for 45 minutes after being seated, and then we had to call a waitress over wnd ask i we supposed to order at the bar! She said no and apologised for the wait. Ordered french soup, but told the chef was about to cook some more ( thought to myself if he hadn't spent time chatting to people he new outside of the kitchen it might not have run out.) when roast came up the portions were very small for £20, 3 small potatoes 2 small slices of beef, little bowl of vegetables. Tasted nice but very small. Deserts once again what we wanted had run out, so had sorbet, well that wasnt even a scoop worth. The poor waitress was rushed of her feet i might add.

Came to The Wharf for Sunday dinner with family. Service was non existent, left to order drinks at the bar and then had to ask for our food order to be taken. When the food finally turned up the burgers were cremated and the roast dinners (easiest meal to get right) was served with dry Yorkshire puddings, over cooked veg, chewy beef and gravy so salty it ruined the meal. After another long wait, the table still hadn't been cleared, we asked to see the manager to complain. He took off the cost of one roast dinner but not the other... The reason? Because we'd eaten some of it... How else would we know we didn't like it?!?! Suffice to say no tip was given and we won't be going back.

Really lovely location. Staff were really nice. We went for lunch here and took our dog. Food was fine. Nothing special but was OK. Had a lovely walk around the lake and grounds . Nice comfortable atmosphere. We sat in the bar area but I would imagine the outside seating area in the summer is amazing with the lovely views. Will be back.

The atmosphere was good, really nice pub. I found the service a bit slow. They had our orders in advance and the pub was not full and I expected the order to arrive a bit quicker. The coconut cheesecake was lovely but the chicken skewers were a disappointment. Hardly any chicken, the chips soaked in the sauce. Maybe it was just a bad choice for me and others like it like this but I would definitely choose something else next time.

I personally appreciate 💯 a women a lil chubby white who kept helping me and my wife. I strongly believe she remembers the black Man And Women she assisted until we left whilst the rest of the team was so ignorant and segregating. The place is beautiful but what makes it more beautiful is that 1 lady with excellent service. If i am to be given a chance to have a look on pictures i still remember her and i can point out. God bless her.

Food is nice (although where have the loaded chips gone?!) and the setting is lovely, but good lord this has to be the most expensive pub in Kent! I bought 3 drinks a few days ago and it cost me the same as it does in Canary Wharf!

Took a customer for lunch there, I visit the area about 5 times a month and was looking for somewhere regular. I only had a short window to cram in lunch before needing to be on the road. Lovely view of the lake and comfy area outside. Service was OK but I'd be embarassed serving what we had. The food came out quickly but for what was a £10 and a £12 sandwich id have expected more. The fish sandwich was extreemly oily and soaked right into the soggy thin slice of bread, it tasted so much of the oil and not alot else the club sandwich had virtually everything over the plate after the first bite again with some thinly sliced bread. If I'd have had more time I would have sent the fish sandwich at least back, shame as its a nice venue but I've had a better sandwich from a motorway service station.

Had a lovely time here with a friend of mine. We ordered a few small plates and share like tapas, everything was super tasty. Had some desserts too, the apple crumble was huge, should state it's good for sharing although it really should come with more custard! We were sitting outside, view for the lake is lovely.

I live local and visit the Wharf often with my friends or colleagues for dinner. Last night went to have dinner with my friend, we had food, drinks and dessert and for the third time recently at 9 pm the staff stopped the music dimmed the lights and started pressuring us to leave through their actions. Seeing as this has happened a lot lately my friend and I checked again online saw that it states it closes at 10pm so decided not to get up and leave whilst we still had drinks to finish and I had not finished my dessert. After seeing we are not getting the message at 9:30pm the waitress came and said sorry guys but we are closed now so you have to leave to which I said but I still have wine in my glass which I paid for and you advertise that you are open until 10pm and in a very abrupt manner she said well as there is only you and another table here it is not worth it for us to keep open so you have to leave. Absolutely shocking. Me paying for my drinks is not worth them staying so I can actually finish what I paid for even more so when they state everywhere it closes at 10pm. Very disturbing customer service and again seeing that this is not the first time I decided it is time to write about it.

First of all, I paid for drinks, lunch for 2 people and service charge (£4) at the counter. I brought our own drinks to the table. The stuff only brought the meal to the table. I then went to get cutlery, sauces, paper napkins and salt and pepper myself. I asked the staff for two plates, but she didn't bring them. Then I went to get two plates myself. Why did I have to pay the service fee?? I don't think it's a good idea to ask for a service fee that you haven't received in advance.

Popped in for a drink to this place close to my friends new home. The views are amazing the service not so much with a young team. They were more concerned with gossiping about what happen within their lives that paying attention to service . Location is perfect, tranquil and serene

Wow! Do not delay in going here. Our waitress, Joy, was such fun and very professional. I had a business lunch/meeting, and will taking the 1hr drive with the family to call again.

Hi back again this time was again after shopping we decided to comeback to this place after couple years and have late afternoon meal and I have seen on menu they serving swordfish filet I decided to order but they told me they run out of this dish I have to order something else and I order chicken skewers with pitta bread and some salad chicken was cooked perfectly lovely taste well seasoned and vas delicious little bit I have been disappointed they cook chicken on grill and can't cook pitta bread on flame too this makes me disappointed bread lost is taste . Salad us usually and everywhere else fresh crispy and delicious with bit of lemon juice on top . Atmosphere nice everything looks clean it was little bit busy little bit noisy day time it would be better you have lovely view to lake . Plenty parking space available. Service was friendly and smooth dishes come quickly don't need to wait for to long. Prices like evewhere else not to high and if you sign for your birthday every year they will send you voucher for 1 free meel when you buy other one ( this voucheryoubcan use not only for this place is so many to choose) . Thanks to all staff. Do I come back definitely I will come back . Do I recommend oh yes I do recommend visit this place during day time or evening any time you like . Very poor service, had to ask most of the time if we wanted something, most of staff just looked like they wanted to go home and customers were inconvenience. Hardly ever write poor reviews unless I have too busy can honestly say this was the wurst service and experience I’ve ever had in my life’s existence Pizza and the lovely views of lake gave me a crumb of hope but won’t be returning

Staff are friendly, chef not accommodating as I asked for capers blended with mayonnaise cause the tartare sauce that came with the fish and chips with microwaved petit pois was more of a floury glue than tartare sauce but was told that the blender is only used for Mise en place 😀. The calamari was bland and so thin and over cooked with mayonnaise and whole capers. The duck dish was tossed yesterday’s shredded duck in hoisin sauce with plain microwaved rice and seaweed from a packet salad. Ready cooked Chicken wings dipped in Chinese takeaway sweet and sour sauce mixed with Tabasco sauce with batons of red cabbage. The beers are good with the nice view of the pond and that’s all is good for. A good new challenging chef will definitely make a huge big difference in that place. Laziness always drives business downhill

Lovely Bar/restaurant sitting on a lakeside, animal friendly, good chooce of drinks and food. I have never had a bad meal here or been left waiting a long time for food.
