Food is so bad. But view and drinks are lovely 👌🏼

Been there on Saturday with my family and stay stand for 32 min and no one come to help and clean the tables. AVOID THIS PLACE.

If I could give no stars I would, prawn cocktail was just pure cayenne pepper, waited over an hour for mains with a screaming one year old whose was brought out 10 minutes after ours, staff members walking around kissing their teeth because they can’t find tables and then drinks taking over 30 minutes to be delivered and the fish being full of grease and barely any fish, Won’t be returning

Visited for the first time ever and had the best experience! Good food and lovely service. Kayne, Julie, Michaela and Jemima were the sweetest, and most accommodating staff, trying to satisfy us even when the restaurant was packed. Would definetely come again!

After one of those days of feeling trapped in the city, a dear friend of mine recommended this pub to escape and have a quiet afternoon. From the moment I stepped in the staff, Kayne, Jemima, Michaela and, Julie were all very welcoming and warm. The outside space with the by the water gave me immense peace of mind. The food was really good as well. Thank you guys for the experience!

Pub with a lovely outlook over a lake. We prebooked at table and were given a choice of outside or inside table. The staff were helpful and friendly. Food ordered was tasty and well presented and arrived in time. Cocktails were also good!

For me, this place is a gem in terms of location and atmosphere. It's stunning sitting by the lake on a warm day. It's huge which means there's usually a spot to sit and the vibes are good. I really wanted to love this place and give it five stars but unfortunately the food was not to my standard. I ordered the buttermilk chicken, and it was limited in flavour (bland), and the chips with the chicken were warm. I'd go again for drinks only but I was disappointed with my lunch. My friend had a similar experience.

I visited with a group of friends yesterday and it was very busy. The food was ok, expensive for what it was. The service was very slow, our sides didn’t appear till we had finished our meal. The cocktails were very expensive given that they were ‘pre made’ in some cases, we had to return one it was so bad. Drinks ordered on the app were taking over 30 minutes to arrive at one point and the queue for the bar was out the door. A beautiful view and location and the staff were so lovely, very apologetic for the delays.

Been here a few times, if you are lucky enough to sit outside when the weather is nice, do! After eating their lovely food you can have a stroll around the lake afterwards

We had a horrible experience and i personally wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody. the food we were given , wasn’t what we ordered when we asked to change it they said we had to pay extra. It was all overcooked and very dry.

A Hidden Gem with a View! This lovely dog friendly pub is a true hidden gem — the view of the lake is absolutely stunning and creates such a relaxing atmosphere. The food is fresh and well-prepared, and the staff are friendly and welcoming, which made our visit really enjoyable. One thing that could be improved is the food ordering process. While drinks can be ordered easily online, food orders still require queuing, which feels a bit outdated and impractical, especially during busy times. It would be great to see the same online convenience extended to food ordering as well. That said, the overall experience was fantastic, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend it for the beautiful setting and quality food!

Nice pub with outside seating overlooking a beautiful Lake. Friendly helpful staff. I would have given the food 5 stars but it wasn't as hot as it should be. My chips were warm. Didn't complain as I normally would say something but as they had explained when we sat down they were having a problem with the fryer, I just didn't make an issue.

We waited so long to be served in the longest que, then we were told to take a seat as the service was gona be done from the waiters, we waited for ages again, food and drink toke forever ( it was busy and understandable) but it slow service overall and organisation was not there this time. I come often here and I've never seen the actual confusion that occurred on this Friday for us. Food was ok sh. I am not sure i want to return.

I have been disappointed in the past but decided to take my partner there for lunch for his birthday as this is where we had our 2nd date and is near where we live. Also we didn't have much time as it was a working day. We wanted to relive the good memories 😃 What a lovely surprise though. Their food was so tasty, the chicken moist, their dessert lovely. We sat at the table near the window in the raised area at the end of the restaurant with the sun coming through the window. The waitress was kind and professional. I hope they keep up the nice work!! I will definitely give it another go.

Went for a drink and food but only stayed for a drink because the vegetarian options were very limited, and not that great - pretty standard; pizza, burger and a tart 😕 the sides/small plates were overpriced for a veggie option - £7.50 for corn ribs aka corn on the cob

Lovely al fresco dining deck by the lakeside, shade or sunny. 1 bus stop ride from Travelodge Dartford, you can also get to it from Dartford or Bluewater in 1 bus ride.

FAVOURITE local pub, amazing views by the lake and sometimes live performances inside! Dog friendly inside - a man randomly bought my dog a steak here once! 😂 Great place to meet people too, have made a few friends here. Always have a great time and food is 🤌🏼 been probably a few hundred times and only ever had a food complaint once (chicken was slightly pink) but they cleared the bill so was all good! They have fixed the outside heaters aswell 😌

Genuinely a nice setting for lunch or dinner great food, liquor and beers in selection. Greeted with banter and smiles always. Great outdoor settings for sunny days with an amazing view of local wildlife also dogs welcome with free treats and water bowls.

What a really nice place. The food was great. The service was great. It was my first time, and I'm definitely going back. Thank you.

Haven't been here in years. Met up with some old friends here,it was a wednesday night,not busy which was good. Plenty of tables to sit at. Good choice of drinks ,food was very nice,not the cheapest,but again ,I had burger and chips and it was very tasty . The bar staff were very friendly,the night we were there,they were only young but worked well and bit like a pub of the old days they even had a bit of fun and banter with us,which is rare these days . So overall,great staff,good food and drink .

Found this place by chance and would like to go back. Some of items on the menu wasn't available but this isn't a big issue. The food was lovely. Nice little vibe and would like to go back. Only criticism is the big puddle outside in the grass which was quiet large, lighting was poor and not baracade which led my partner so submerged his foot into.

We had a team Christmas dinner here and was a really good evening

A lovely, quiet place! I went for dinner with my colleagues, and we had a fantastic experience. The food was delicious—I tried the beetroot tart and absolutely loved it. We also enjoyed the nachos and calamari, and I have to mention that the gluten-free chicken nuggets were excellent. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

The best thing about this place is the outside seating area right next to the pond. The food is a notch better than average. Service was better than what a number of reviews suggested. Yes, we did find a few tables which were not cleaned but we also saw plenty of clean ones. Overall, a nice place.

I went with family for a dinner. I have booked and when arrived takes about 15 min just to come and direct us to the table. Order a beer and took ages to come. I think they are concentrating in serve a birthday party downstairs of restaurant. Resume: Avoid dinner with your family at this place. And ask to remove the service fee. Maybe give direct to waitress if deserved.

I wish I can give -0 rating!!! First time visiting a lounge/pub/restaurant with absolutely Zero sense of customer service!!! Arrived at the facility after a rainy day, decided to sit outside, met wet chairs and the staff couldn’t have the sense of service to assist with this, had to go back to reception and told the staff only to be handed a tissue paper to go and wipe our chairs ourselves. The lady even absolutely ignored us and intentionally attended to people that arrived after us. I came to SPEND not to beg. We had to leave when NONE of the staff approached us to take orders when they went to other customers table to take orders.

The wharf is a nice place where you can have nice food and enjoy the view outside. The service was okish. The tables outside are needed to be clean.

Lovely setting. Very busy. Bar service was a bit slow. Food was lovely, especially the chilli pot.

Staff are miserable, seen more smiles at a funeral. You might hate your job but at least don’t show it to guests. Won’t come again.

Great location but the food is not as nice as it used to be, they used to be a lot better with allergens, the service is very slow and the chefs and staff don't seem to know what is in the food. Food is expensive for what it is, you can tell they use cheap meats

Great location but no to the food. My calamari was greasy and recooked.

Really gutted as this place has descended into trash. The only appeal left to venue is the lake view. My fiancé and I have been to this place numerous times, and it has gradually declined to the point we no longer want to visit. At the door we were told to find a table and could sit anywhere we want. However, all the free tables indoors had leftover food, crumbs, dirty used cutlery, used towels, empty bottles and glasses. So, we had to clear up one of the tables and moved the stuff off to one of the other tables that had trash. That was annoyingly disappointing and disgusting as that whole time none of the staff came around to clear up and clean the tables. Furthermore, the menu had been changed with a new menu that looks very limited. Typical pub menu nothing exciting and versatile🙄. Today, we reluctantly went back as it was sunny and felt like having a drink by the lake view to make for a good weekend. We disappointingly saw that once again there was quite a few indoor tables with dirty cutlery, plates, bottles and empty glasses. Whoever manages this place needs to step up!! We headed to the lake view at the back side and again were fronted by the same sight. We had to chose a table to clean up and again were surrounded by free tables all with dirty plates leftover food, empty glasses and bottles, napkins flying into the lake at times as dirt never gets cleared. All the time we were sat there, all customers who came to the lake view side had to clear up a table themselves by moving the stuff to a nearby table🙄. There was flies at times because of the dirty dishes left uncleared. This was once a nice special venue to bring visiting friends and family to but now it has turned into a trash pit. So gutting to see. It would be a solid venue with better management and staff being mindful about hygiene, tidiness, good food and drinks!! Unfortunately today we felt uncomfortable and had to leave sooner after one drink as we couldn't bare being sat next to that much filth.

Met some girlfriends for a lunch date all in all the food was good and one of our party who has food intolerances all her needs were met with no problem ie: GF & dairy. I ordered the chicken & walnut salad the chicken was on the dry side and there were no walnuts present on my plate. Pleased I ordered some chips too as the portion wasn’t big enough if you were really hungry. But all in all very simple lettuce few grapes couple bits of apple with some slaw looked good and my friends had a normal burger and chicken burger which they both said was nice enough for pub grub...

A great pub set next to a lake. You can walk around the lake. Pub is popular service was good. Outside bar on busy days. Live entertainment on occasions. Food menus change on a regular basis. Good quality and cooked fresh. Dogs welcome

Big disappointment! First we were waiting 10 minutes next to the reception desk. Then I asked them 4 times to clean the table, but I ended up cleaned it by myself after 30 minutes of waiting! Food tasted bad! For 2 kids pizzas , 3 portions of chips, some squid rings, 2 juices and 1 beer £50 🤦🏼‍♀️ And only beer and the juice was nice 😁

I had the seafood pasta which was overcooked, bland and seemed like it was cooked from frozen from the consistency of the seafood. Staff were marvellous though.

I went here with my girlfriend for a nice meal before a party and I'm so glad we did. The staff are very friendly with smiles all round. We had seafood spaghetti which was delicious to say the least and finished off with the bourbon vanilla cheesecake, if you like cheesecake it's a must try. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone

Sunday roast was horrible and the staff didn’t care

Staff are so polite, friendly and go the extra mile, so dog friendly. Our dog absolutely loved the afternoon. Happy Beagle means a very happy mum and dad. The food was so tasty, fantastic quality and beautiful colours. Can't wait to visit again, thank you for such a lovely, relaxing and enjoyable afternoon.
