Had date night Monday night and was greeted by a very cheerful and welcoming lady by the name of Trudi.. wasn't sure what to get to drink but Trudi had some great recommendations and we went with them all. Thank you for making our night better

I came on Friday evening for food, drinks and dancing with friends. Bartender Trudi was amazing, professional and friendly and made great recommendations on food and drinks we had a great night x

Came in for lunch and had southern fried chicken strips to start followed by the steak & ale pie. Food was well presented, and taste was amazing. Pint of Wingman was clean, crisp, and well priced. Niamh was working and was very friendly and helpful and provided excellent service. Will definitely visit again.

I had the toasted chicken with chips and for 18 pounds I expected a lot better.it was weatherspoons quality with bistro pricing. Kids chicken nuggets and chips was good and the pie and chips my husband enjoyed although still more on the pricey side. I'd say go for the beer and sports and maybe some chips but food isn't up to the parr with the prices they are charging.

Had the displeasure to visit this pub recently and shocked to see underage teenage girls selling coke (drug) in the toilets. Another young male throwing up in the pub. If it's like this on a Sunday afternoon, I can't imagine what it's like in the evening. I spoke to the landlord who did not care. All welcome he said. Shame on him

Traditional sports bar, loud but perfect for a sports game

They serve only their regular customers. If you are new in the pub you gonna be served the last and in a rude way. I mentioned that barmen is serving customer that was last in the queue and there were two people before him, but I was named rude and asked to leave the pub. Its insane! Avoid this place!

Great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff and the manager/owner(?). Kids were allowed to stay for late football game, overall great pub!

Good pub with a good selection of drinks. Good for watching sports. A little bit pricey but acceptable because of sky/TNT sports etc. Not keen on the steel 'fencing' channeling you around, makes it feel a little claustrophobic.

Fantastic place, great energy and a brilliant roast dinner!

Popped in on a random child free evening with my wife, and we're so glad we did. Andy, the landlord, was an amazing host. Great drink selection was reasonably priced, and the food and atmosphere was amazing. Even though we're half an hour away from the pub, I will 100% be returning, be it with the family, another child free evening with my wife or with my mates.

Walked into the western 0n 20th of April at 22.30 only to be told that the pub was closed and advised to go to witherspoons which is still open ? Very sad the pub used to be the busiest pub in Rickmansworth for years . Unfortunately it looks like a refugee camp now with the garden being fence off with a 6 foot fence

Unfortunately the western which use to be druids has lost its way they advertise the six nations but they had football on most of the screens also very expensive drinks a large gin and tonic is 10 pound most of the pubs in Whitman's worth they average out around 7.50 also the design of the path is a pinch point if you get more than 10 people you can't get to the bar and the bar is only 3 meters long and when you go in through the front door you're heard it to the bar because there are ravings both left and right stopping you going to the tables so you have to go to the bar in order to get a drink and to sit down. Also they had no sound on the rugby or it's very very low so you couldn't hear the commentary because of the football on the other Telly's so whoever design the bar needs to regress the design of the bar unfortunately I don't think the Western WD3 will be there much longer as pub which is a shame back in the day that used to be 500 people in there on a rugby day and in the garden where they had a marquee with a bar and televisions . And and the other problem is I put brewery managers in instead of a tenant who would put his her heart and soul into making the what it should be

We arrive at 11 and their opening hours are until 12. We were told this is not the case and we were not to be served by a rude member of staff. Please avoid this pub as there are much better pubs in Rickmansworth I’d recommend that are actually nice to customers such as the fox and hounds (only 1 min away from the dive that is the western) as well as the feathers and the coach and horses. Avoid the western at all costs.

Had a great evening at The Western last night! It was a Valentines day meal and was just lovely :) The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service lovely and the red wine we chose was one of the nicest we have had. Thank you all very much, we will definitely return. x

Went for a work Christmas drinks afternoon. Excellent pub.Good food and service and very friendly staff.

Very nice - if you like lots of TVs and a big screen all playing sport and reasonably loud music.

If you want to go somewhere and be harassed and subjected to misogynistic abuse including the new landlord who apparently thinks any woman is his for the taking then go here!

This was my first visit to the Weston and I had a good evening with friends, the staff were friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was good as the football was being shown.

Decided to got the The Western to watch the football, really friendly and inviting. Friendly and lovely manager and staff, clean, inviting and as a local couple would go again… the food looked good too!

Off the main street in Ricky. Comfortable seating. 5 or 6 TVs. Good choice of food 3 mains £38. Very clean upstairs novelty urinals, beer barrels.

Lovely staff. Good atmosphere. Food just okay. Felt very rushed as the kitchen closes a bit early for a Saturday night. Main course was served while we were eating starters. Same again, Dessert got parked and went cold while we were having mains! 2nd time. Only popped in for a drink and watch football. Good atmosphere. 3rd time. Great atmosphere for England World Cup game.

Incredible pub! Absolutely lovely staff, great food, and a smashing patio. With heaters!! The food is reasonably priced, the drinks too. A special shout-out to Jacob for being a stand out guy.

I spontaneously decided to go to The Western for my birthday and was amazed by the service from Dan and Andrei. I was given a free slice of cake by Jacob and amazing cocktails by Andrei! Absolutely love the current deal they have on cocktails, will definitely be back and bringing along more friends :)

Been coming here on and off for a couple of years and i have to admit after a bit of a dip last year we are back to the excellent experience i have come to be used to here . Since the new management, the food is back to awesome and the entertainment is coming back in a full swing ! one thing that has not changed is the excellent service received by the friendliest staff you could possible imagine . Thank you for tolerating me here almost every weekend , can not wait for what’s yet to come !

Loved this place. Staff couldn't do enough and were really friendly. Gary the boss is a top fella. Singer and guitarist were brilliant. Next time we play Watford we'll definitely be having another night in The Western.

I came to the Western for work.. I was greeted by Claire the new owner and her son Jacob... Fantastic people. The Western is quite amazing... A massive TV and lots of other TVs in the main bar for showing sporting events. A peaceful secluded beer garden, plenty of tables and booths for outside drinking / dining and multiple tvs so you don't miss the all important sporting events. This pub is lovely and clean throughout.... as I always say, I go to places the public can't go when at work... Hygiene is very high on Claire's agenda and the kitchen (as shown in photos) is spotless and there is great attention to detail going into food being served. Sporting memorabilia and photos ordain the walls and TVs can been seen wherever you sit. This looks like a great venue whatever the occasion.... 😎

We came here Saturday evening - our first time. We had a lovely evening. We met the lovely new owners Claire & Gary… They couldn’t have been more welcoming and friendly! The food was delicious and the live music was fantastic. Well worth the journey and we will definitely be returning in the near future. A super find.

Great sports bar and friendly staff.

This pub is very much a sports bar. At the time of my visit there was Doombar and no other ale available. The wall of television screens seems difficult to avoid in the main bar. There is a secluded seating area at the back, appropriately complete with a large screen. I confess I have not tried the food.

First time visiting and Jacob was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The kitchen was closed when I went which was on a Tuesday but he still managed to get me a dish of Mac&Cheese. Very good customer service, looking forward to revisiting next time in the area.

Great staff with good beer selection, loads of TVs if you're there to watch sport. Was a bit too cold for the outside area when I went but will definitely be going back when it's warmer to try that as well

Don't know why I bothered. Booked in person Friday, got email confirmation, walk in for the game and get shouted at. "we don't do bookings anymore"! So called sports pub playing music instead of having the sound from the football on the TVs and no ales on tap FFS. Thought I'd try and support a local business even though this game is free of terrestrial TV and their kitchen is always closed, but at half time I'm off to the Coach and Horses instead.

Booked a table online, arrived and we were seated. When I asked for a menu I was told the kitchen was closed. Why allow bookings to be made online if you have no way of fulfilling these?

Disgusting food with a lot of sauce full of sugar, sticky like superglue. Was suppossed to be BBQ ribs but had nothing to do with BBQ, was simply boiled ribs covered without any choice option with a lot of this sticky brown so called sauce. Think they just bought after the corner supermarket. Restaurant comes from restauration, supposed the food and all other extra, sauces, etc. to be prepared in house by a chef from organic veges, tomatoes, onions,etc... Their food was like a prepacked supermarket food rewarmed and served as a restaurant food. The price only was like a restaurant like.

Nice restaurant with great, hot food. Fish and chips was fresh and delicious. Service was kind.

Stopped in for a drink after a walk around the nearby lakes. Stayed for four! It was quiet as it was lunchtime on the Saturday of the Platinum Jubilee. I suspect it'd be a lot busier if a big sporting event was being shown on the TV wall. The barman was really friendly as were the other guests that were in. Definitely go again when I'm in the area, oh and they have Timothy Taylors on tap!

Very friendly people work in this pub. Good side garden beer And a pretty pub in general with the most original orinals inside the Gentlemen toilet I have ever seen :-)

This place is empty and dull during the day serving pints of lager for 4.90 and during the night it’s frequented by top notted tight trouser wearing chavs and young filly’s with Awful music and even worse staff and the manager Wayne is about as personable as a two pence piece. All the tables are pre booked.... it’s a pub? Is a restaurant? God knows what it is but it’s pretty shocking God damn I though the Druid’s was bad

Haven’t visited The Western in a few years because the management were awful but there is a new sheriff in town . His name is Wayne ( new manager) had a thoroughly great time. He’s welcoming and polite. The service was fantastic.

Slow service and expensive drinks

We went for lunch on a Friday, it wasn't particularly busy. The decor is nice, the food and service were good. Would definitely return. Lots of screens to watch sport too.

Unfortunately they have put sheds in the garden Area Which is very unsightly also they are braking the law by putting an Advertising a board outside the front door on the footpath which is braking local by law's and could be find upto £2000 for Breaking the Bylaws I'm surprised that they didn't asked the council advice about A Boards on the High Street also they have removed several CCTV cameras from the garden Area Which is not a good idea

Friendly staff and decent food, with a decent selection of ale and craft beer, and several screens for the football including outside. A few missing drinks options due to Covid etc but nice place

Very good very friendly bar staff

Knowing that it was a matchday for the football I thought why not go to a sport bar to enjoy the game, when I got to “the western” the atmosphere was good and a lot of people attended. The service from a “blonde woman” at the bar was sublime and quick; I got seated straight away, when ordered drinks she was always available to serve and delivered great customer service. The whole team just seemed on Par with one another. Would recommend

Although packed, the service was quick. They should have bigger screens/projectors throughout the pub.

Great pub for sport, lots of TVs and variety played throughout the pub. The service was good and prices reasonable or as can be expected, around £5 a pint. There is around 10 car spaces at the pub but there are other local car parks close by.

Me and my partner watched 4 of the England games of the euros at the western and the last 2 matches we got upgraded to a table inside from having a table outside which was really nice , the food was very good as well, I recommend the burgers! In helping me with all the bookings and everything was a superviser called Lauren who was absolutely awesome!! very friendly and very helpful during some very busy days , we really enjoyed the euro final there and even though england did not win, lauren and her team made it a great and memorable experience , thanks guys!! : ) Chris & Donna

Not the greatest run pub. A security guy/ bouncer came over to a couple of guys who were standing to watch the football to tell them to sit down and they said they wouldn’t, so he said ok and walked away ! Shaun was our server and although friendly he kept forgetting things and was inexperienced. Food was average and the place wasn’t particularly clean. Won’t be returning

Not the biggest variety of food. And some dishes sold our (many drinks not available too). But the food that was available all tasted really really good. Nice staff decent atmosphere.

As pubs reopened I went back to my routine and decided to grab some food on a Sunday evenings and I had a good experience last time I came so I decided to come back and the experience was awful !! If I could give 0 star I would have.... I asked for a table for 1 and if they were serving food, the first server told me to grab any free table and that kitchen was open, fantastic news!! and got the drink straight away! I lost sight of the member of staff that seated me, however, after about 20min I tried to get the attention from a different server, he told me to hold on for a minute because he was sorting something out, he then seated another table, ordered and served drink to them while I was still waiting for him to come back to my table... 10 more minutes went by and a third server came up to me apologising and asked me to move in a different table as she had to seat someone else, at that stage I asked for the bill so I could go elsewhere as I waited over 30min by then. She asked me to reach a booth at the back (witch she could have seated the other guests) so that she could seat them as well, then came over and told me that a manager will be with me shortly....I do not like to complain and it wasn't going to be a big deal as I work in the same industry and the staff seemed for some reason overwhelmed, pointless to say that after I paid for my beer, and waited another couple of minutes, the manager never came over and I left, and only at this point, I decided to give my feedback! Got home and ordered an Uber, another episode of table for 1 treated like it does not count ! Shame as I was looking forward to make this one my regular pubs, got to try other options now.

My husband and I passed by here & thought we’d sit in the garden for lunch it wasn’t very busy We stood behind the barrier as requested waiting to be seated , it wasn’t very busy but several members of staff came out but didn’t acknowledge us atall If they had waved of given us an indication that they acknowledged us we would have been fine After waiting over five minutes with staff in and out we walked away , you would think that given months of being closed they would have welcomed the business but clearly not. The customer service here is both appalling and rude . We won’t be returning

Had lunch with friends. Service was excellent. Staff were very attentive and as it was lunchtime check to see if we were had a time limit to make sure we would get our food in time to eat and get back to work. Food was delicious
