Nice pub service was good the staff were friendly having a joke beer was excellent and was great to see dogs in there as I love dogs, was my first visit to greenfield.

Internally it's the 1980s but clean, beer is good , friendly staff and locals. Not tried the food, but I'm told it good.

Great little traditional pub. Food served Wednesday ,Friday and Sunday only and you need cash to pay for the food .We arrived with only electronic money but the staff were so helpful letting us pay the pub by card - they then paid the caterer. Great selection of beers and a really friendly atmosphere. The food was typically hot and tasty. Service Excellent . Just what you need after climbing Dovestones .

Called in mid afternoon for lunch, food superb all home made and freshly cooked, piping hot, really friendly pub, good selection of real ales, easy parking right outside. Couldn't be better. Definitely returning.

A great English pub. They have food three nights a week and we decided to give it a try. Wholesome British pub food is served at a very reasonable price. The chef realising we were not locals came and spoke with us. She was extremely friendly. Serves a great selection of real ale too. Highly recommend.

After a days walking we popped to this lovely local pub and the welcome was great and the food was just what we needed after the walk. Great value for money. Don’t judge a book by its cover. Would go again.

Went there with group of 6 friends. Had 2 pints of Tiger Rut and fish and chips. Beer and food both excellent as was the service. Will return.

Lovely village pub run by nice people. We had some proper decent pub grub - husband had minty lamb pie and I had pulled pork and mash with a creamy mustard sauce. It was nice to see how busy the pub was - it was buzzing with locals. We received a warm welcome even though we don't live in the area. It's a very happy and friendly place and we noticed that many people were bringing their dogs in which is a plus for us as we are animal lovers. All in all we spent a very pleasant afternoon here and we have made a note to go back again the next time we are in Saddleworth.

Very nice pint of Gunpower, very dark mild, a real change from Lemmon Dream, far too cytrus'y from me we need more English hopped bitters like a Draught Bass.

Really enjoyed this pub. The staff were very friendly and the food was good home made fair. They also had a nice red wine and beer. All kept well.

If you're on the ale trail go that bit further and walk to the Wellington and have a lovely old fashioned home cooking and proper real ale.

Went to Saddleworth for a hike and decided to explore The Wellington for a nice lunch before catching the train back to Manchester. The pub had a nice Sunday roast offer. Indoor as well as outdoor seating is available. The place is also pet friendly. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. Upon request, they rearranged our table outside in the sun for lunch. The mains were between £7 - £12. They also had vegan+vegetarian options. Definitely worth a visit! The only issue that I felt was that it was a cash only place, and thankfully one of my friends had cash, otherwise it would have been inconvenient to find a place to withdraw.

It's not the smartest pub in the village but the staff were friendly the food Sunday roast is one of the best around,home made very tasty and plenty of it.They don't serve food every day, that's ashame but well worth the visit, we've been on several occasions now give a go you won't be disappointed.

In the hamlet of Greenfield this " local " offers a warmth and cozy atmosphere. Great value home cooked meals with a large selection of Real ales, ciders and lagers. This pub is a regular venue for CAMRA members. That has to be your reason for making it your "must go" boozer.

It's a nice friendly boozer and reasonably priced. Gets rammed at certain times, especially Sunday afternoon for food - book if you want to eat! Not eaten there yet as only one veggie main but the portions look generous and everyone says food is good.

Very friendly cask ales pub with great food on Wednesdays,Fridays and Sundays.Two of my favourite beers( amongst hundreds!!!) Salopian Lemon Dream and Phoenix Dry Arizona plus 5 others.

Very friendly staff and Landlord. Good atmosphere. Good and cold Guinness. Recommended.
