Such a cute and sweet cafe! Had a very nice cappuccino and the eggs Benedict. Delicious with eggs poached to perfection! Would 100% come again.

Unpretentious cafe with great coffee and decent grub

This morning at 10:00 AM, I visited a small café with a friend. Although one individual at the café was consuming coffee, we waited for 15 minutes before receiving service to place our breakfast order. I expressed our decision regarding meal selection; however, the staff member did not acknowledge my communication. We go out without breakfast to visit a better breakfast service.

Honestly, so lovely! The food was delicious and we only waited 10 minutes. The staff were so kind they even gave us a free drink. They made us feel very comfortable and welcome. I went 2 times and the service was great both times. I would definitely recommend this place when you are in Edinburgh.

GREAT CAFE 😍😍😍 We visited as it was close to our hotel and were very pleasantly surprised!!! I got the Eggs Benedict (which was TO DIE FOR 🙈) and a latte ☕ and it was very satisfactory 😋 My friends got the Eggs Florentine and the Full English Breakfast, which they both recommend too. There were no issues at all and staff were very friendly. This breakfast was so so good!! 😍😍

We used this lovely little cafe for breakfast (3x) and can highly recommend it. The typical British breakfast options are offered. It takes some getting used to for (German) continental Europeans, but if you want to know how the locals eat, this is the place to be. Everyone can find something on the menu, including vegetarians. However, there can be waiting times in the morning when there is a lot of activity, so it is advisable to bring some time with you.

Small, nice cafe on the edge of the old town with a varied breakfast menu. The staff was very friendly, the atmosphere was familiar. Everyone in our group of 10 found something delicious to eat and everyone really enjoyed it. Absolutely recommended! 👌

After passing by that wee cafe for years i finally got an opportunity to try it out. It was perfect for breakfast with my daughter, good croissants and a enjoyable coffee. A warm welcome from the staff and a good service. it gets busy fast but it is a nice busy atmosphere.

I visited The Wee Cafe the other morning for some breakfast and it was just what I needed. If you are looking for something filling and hearty for an affordable price then this is the place. It isn't trying to be anything fancy which is a nice change of pace for the area.

If you're looking for a traditional breakfast with good quality products and good cookery, Wee café is not the place for that. The English breakfast I had was not well prepared, and the result lacked generosity in the making. It's like the cook doesn't care what the dish will look like.

Camp here for breakfast. Checked out the Google maps profile and saw tea and toast on the menu. Great ! …. But when we got there it was not on the menu so we had the crepes with strawberries and Nutella. They were delicious but a very large portion nonetheless -an option for a small portion would have been great for me. But delicious for sure.

Visiting Edinburgh from Raleigh, NC and found this cafe near our accommodations. Great breakfast choices from healthy to more traditional breakfast. Awesome atmosphere and will definitely come again during our visit.

The Wee Cafe is not just a landmark in Salisbury, it is the heart of this thriving community. Staff are a great team, always friendly, efficient, and very professional (not matter the pressure). The menu is comprehensive and new dishes are introduced regularly. Over the years, many businesses have come and gone, but The Wee Cafe goes from strength to strength.

Wee Cafe is simply the best little cafe around. Food is always delicious here and staff is friendly. Wee Cafe attracts interesting blend of people,from locals to international travellers. Love coming back here.

Just in Edinburgh for the day. Women at the till looks depressed and not happy at the job. Soup came cold. The take away bag was poor quality and fell apart just a few meters from the shop. The guy who served the food was OK. Remember you get shop critics coming in and not just customers.

Great breakfast place! Limited seating space, but turn around is quick, so if you wait a minute, you will get a sit. Get a simple cofee and pastry or a full hot britsh breakfast

After sitting at a table for a while we realized that you have to order at the counter. The waiters never informed us of this. The food is good, at least the Panini and the Toasties (which are sandwiches).

Exactly what the name suggests - a wee cafe & it’s absolutely lovely !! :) Been there twice & ordered waffles & milkshakes each time as they taste delicious !! :) also a great place to grab a cuppa whilst you’re on the go & they have a selection of treats ready to buy as well :)

My friend and I have a very pleasant breakfast in this cafe, I loved my French toast and my friend was very curious to try the traditional full breakfast because we were visiting Edinburgh for the first time. She was extremely satisfied. Highly recommended

Thanks for your reply. To explain further, the coffee, food and service were excellent. Perhaps on that day there was a problem with the extractor fan because the air inside did not smell clean at all due to heavy cooking smells (which remained for hours on my clothes), and there was a lot of condensation on the windows. So in that sense, I felt uncomfortable. The vibe, though, was great, and I'd like to visit again next time I'm in the area.

A cute little cafè. Decent prices and lovely people working there. We enjoyed our breakfast. Eggs Benedict and strawberry waffles. Hollandaise sauce is yummy, and my friend loves the waffles. Coffee is very good, too. Toilets are very well maintained and clean! Very huge recommendation!

If you like condensation running down the windows, your clothes stinking like a greasy spoon and a breakfast £4 more expensive than the Abbey then this place is for you. puddles at the entrance, mould at the windows due to the excess condensation.The lady who took the order would be more suited to serving in a prison. Absolute shambles of a woman, rude, abrupt and flapping like a turkey who has just seen Bernard Matthews. We are through here annually for the swim meet and due to her start times, never had time for breakfast. My wife and I came for breakfast for our first day visiting Edinburgh. This cafe is excellent. Fair pricing and incredible food. What a way to start off the day! The egg and sausage roll is a excellent breakfast sandwich, the eggs Benedict is perfect. They have excellent coffee, and really good milkshakes too!

Asked for boiling water to go as I need for medical reasons, they said no they dont do hot water a coffee shop that doesn't do hot water What happened to the codtomer is always right. Horrible people. Avoid Now baldy is trying to say I didn't mention it was for medical when I did! So they are liars too. Even if it wasn't for medical why do I have to give a reason for boiling water? Could have been for my child's formula bottle. They are losers! Why do I even have to explain why I want it ? I have went into plenty cafes to get boiling water for medical reasons. And for my children's formula bottle! Never an issue but the smelly coffee shop owner has an issue. Stop getting me friends to leave reviews? Never? The party won't stop. Small man syndrome Your cafe sucks and smells

4* because I had the avocado with poached eggs on toast and the eggs were perfect but feel like the toast was a bit soggy and could have done with some chilli flakes or pepper or something Partner had egg and sausage roll which was good

A great, cosy, old school cafe. I attended for breakfast & arrived a few minutes before opening. At this time there was a family, visitors to Scotland, I think, already waiting. The menu is quite straightforward, and displayed on the walls, which stops any faffing about. I had the full Scottish breakfast which was delicious & very filling. Quality ingredients, served promptly at a decent price. I attended having stayed at The Salisbury Hotel a short distance away after a gig at The Queen's Hall. I suspect this will be my go to venue for breakfast whenever I'm in Edinburgh. I thoroughly recommended this cafe. Please ignore the previous one star review that was a complete mistake, due to a trigger finger !

I had a quick eggs Benedict here. It was sufficiently tasty, although I would suggest dressing the dish with herbs or such to deviate from what is a fairly standard eggs Benedict. The general atmosphere was nice. I recommend here if you are looking for a cosy café away from the centre of Edinburgh.

An ok cafe, the food we had (vegie breakfast and panini) were fine, perhaps a smidge on the costly side for what it was.

I was expecting a different service quality since this place is so highly rated. I wouldn't know how the food tastes here since it never arrived in the 1 hour I stayed here. I waited for the order for 50 minutes but they didn't manage to bring it. Ordered 3 porridge, 2 were brought but the third for me never arrived even if my wife reminded them that it's missing. They brought orders one at a time at the same table and we had to remind them of what's still missing. They may have been overwhelmed but this is not acceptable.

Very nice little café. Friendly Staff and very tasty food. Instead of toast they serve real bread with a crunchy crust. I had the "All Day Breakfast" and there is absolutely nothing to complain about.

The panini was great (always is), however the fruit scone was a bit dry. Had cakes from there before and they're usually really tasty.

Loved the smoothie and the panini. Top quality and nice prices as well. E.g. the smoothie costs 3,75.

Kids had milkshakes, they seemed to enjoy them and service was good.

Whilst on a quick trip to Edinburgh we found this delightful little spot for breakfast within a short walk from where we were staying. Pleasantly affordable. The food, excellent. The owner and staff pleasant and engaging! Highly recommend.
