The Wayfarer in Stafford

Excellent service at the Wayfair on Saturday, Dave was very welcoming and good humoured, and our food was exceptional

We ate here yesterday and previously the food has been really nice and competitively priced. We ordered the chicken ham pie with chips, x 3 and one burger as there was four of us dining. The fries were rock hard and pie consisted of a mushed up chicken & ham?. Quite bland in taste and one peice of carrot and one peice of brocoli. We complained and decided to leave the fries. Including just one drink each & sweet our bill was £120!!! So getting on for £150..before deduction which included £7 off for the fries refund and no gratuities. Atmosphere was lovely and staff great also but how can you justify the prices. Food quality and taste and volume amount was in our opinion very average for the price charged. Reluctantly won't be visiting again 😒.

Lovely Valentines evening with fantastic food and a friendly and warm atmosphere. Our server Cameron was incredibly polite and helpful, we will definitely be returning in the future.

This is not the 2st time here and won't be the last. Good food (although the 1 item, Tiramisu was quite tasteless, the test was excellent). Dave provided excellent service.

Our party of 4 had a lovely evening with excellent food. The belly pork was delicious as was my friend's 'black and blue' burger. Cameron was perfect as the waiter: polite and suitably attentive. Well done The Wayfarer.

Service was amazing, our server was Dave and he went above and beyond, he constantly checked if we needed drinks and was very friendly. Also Lucy helped us when we arrived it was busy and she advised us people were moving so we could get a seat while we waited, we recommend here to anyone just for the service but the food is amazing here too.

Very professional, the food was lovely, popcorn chicken to die for - kids loved that as well as the pizzas amazing, Sunday roast was awesome, pies properly made - stunning selection of drinks, & the pizzas & ice cream for the kids were incredible - sticky toffee pudding amazing - defo be back with more of the family - the private rooms are lovely to - a real find. Everything was perfect thank-you to all of the team.

First return after many years, the food was very nice, very friendly and helpful staff.

Fantastic service and food was delicious. Our server Erin was amazing, super polite and attentive. Very well done to her. We only had one small issue which was they were sold out of the only vegan option for dessert but we worked around it.

Had a fantastic lunch at The Wayfare at Stone with my wife. The chicken, ham, and leek pie was absolutely delicious—flaky pastry, rich filling, and full of flavor. The service was just as good as the food—Dave, our waiter, was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. A great spot for a relaxed, high-quality meal. We’ll definitely be back!

Sunday lunch with friends to celebrate a birthday. Friendly staff, good service and tasty food. Selected from the set three course menu, good value.

Food was average, service a bit slow, and the manager completely unconcerned about the crawling grease and fat trap mess at the front door and drive.

The food was excellent, with menu choices to cater for any taste or preference. All our dishes were imaginatively presented and looked very appetizing. Portion sizes were generous, the taste delicious and the service was friendly, responsive, unhurried and efficient. Overall a very enjoyable meal representing excellent value and a cut above many similarly prices venues. We'll definitely be back. We'll definitely be back.  Thank you.
