Best Sunday lunch i've had in a long time, well worth the money.

We're regulars for lunch. Hits the mark every time, perfect food, and perfect coffee!

Always our first choice even though there are more options in Carmarthen these days. The quality is outstanding!

Delicious vegan food that is fresh, local filling and interesting - vegans are hungry! Also a cosy and safe vibe. Staff really friendly.

Not impressed with the Christmas Lunch at this establishment. The food was sparse and limited and also over priced for what we were provided with. The staff were friendly, courteous and conscientious. The food was disappointing. Two course Christmas Lunch for £33.

Shwmae, I had a 5* sunday lunch yesterday with my partner and toddler and baby. The food was brilliant, my 2.5yr old was content with the crayons and drawings you provided whilst we waited and i felt a real sense of community within your walls. Keep doing what you’re doing, it is valued and i will be telling my friends and family about your space and values. Eating quality and organic food outside the home is almost impossible and as a regular listener to podcasts featuring knowledgeable people such as dr zach bush i am well aware of the impact of glyphosate to our gut health. We ate Sunday dinner at The Warren and were delighted with the quality of the food, the locally-sourced ingredients, and the outstanding level of service. The ambience in the restaurant is special and the focus on supporting the community is welcome. The prices were very much on the high side but broadly we thought that it was justified given the quality of the food and the social values of the restaurant. My only suggestion would be to increase the portion sizes to match the cost. Thank you, The Warren, for another great dining experience!

Great restaurant with a genuine passion for locally produced and seasonal ingredients. Staff are wonderful and it's a lovely, intimate and warm dining atmosphere.

Fantastic whole food vegan burger & friendly helpful staff

Beautiful setting, real cosy atmosphere and incredible food. We had a lamb roast which was unbelievable, so well cooked and served with a great array of veg and sides.

Very expensive coffee. Oat milk latte with an extra shot was £6.10. The extra shot was £1.75. Way too much especially as my companion asked for a single shot drink for herself and got no discount

Charming and cosy venue with eclectic artwork and decor. Everything on my plate was absolutely delicious and surprisingly filling as I’m used to larger portions on a Sunday dinner. The pork was mouth-wateringly moreish and tender while the cheesy beans were a delightful addition. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helped create a vibrant atmosphere. Zero complaints.

Lunch for 3 was 3 mains and three fizzy drinks for £50.23. My Tomato salad was £13 and listed hemp cheese in the ingredients. It was fine hemp cheese sprinkles which were hardly discernable, like a coarse pepper garnish. The salad looked and tasted good but no evident cheese which I thought would be the noticeable ingredient. My wife's toasted sandwich and nieces vegan burger were good but overpriced. Disappointing as I wanted to try something very different. We are non returners. Helpful staff who understood my dilemma.

Lovely place to eat, food is excellent not a big menu. But that's not a bad thing because what they do is very good. Friendly and attentive staff. Would go again.

This was our fit time at the Warren and we came for the Sunday Roast. I was surprised how big the restaurant was. The decorations are very farm style. The service was great. The pork with crackling was tender, the lamb was tasty - had to request mint sauce. The Makeral was okay - maybe some lemon or a sauce would be nice. Ended our meal with the chocolate mousse which was fantastic. I found the place a little pricey but maybe because it's organic food, and they support local charities.

Had a lovely lunch today; herb drink was stunning, crab cakes and potatoes were just lovely and the posset was beautiful. Great service, cheerful and helpful. Will definitely return soon.

Very good food, although the menu is somewhat limited. Fresh, locally sourced fare. Portion sizes are moderate, so I recommend ordering a side. Service was very good; great atmosphere. Worth a visit.

Very nice but somewhat small portions

This place looked nice, but I did notice a few spider webs hanging above, not sure if that's part of the aesthetic but maybe get rid of those. Food was pre-ordered as it was a group booking, so arrived quickly, some of the portions were small for some people, my meal was nice and I did enjoy but this place is not ideal for young families, kids menu limited and no vegetables to accompany the pizzas, £6 for a small handful of chips is beyond ridiculous. The ice cream was nice. In all the food is nice but I wouldn't return unfortunately.

I had the worst service here I have ever experienced. I took my mother here for lunch to celebrate her 85th birthday, we didn’t book but were able to walk in and get a table. The manager took our order, but an hour later we still hadn’t received our food. We asked the waitress what the delay was and they had no record of the food order. They had not checked in with us for the hour we had sat there, even though it wasn’t busy. By the time they had realised their mistake it was too late to order food. My mother was really upset as this was something we had been looking forward to, we were very hungry and it genuinely ruined her birthday. The waitress and bar staff didn’t apologise or offer any explanation, the manager was nowhere to be found. I have never left a negative review before but today’s service has been inexcusable. Shame on you guys.

I had a fantastic vegetarian option and my husband said his beef was the best he'd had. There was a good selection of teas which I love to try different ones. Ended up with a rhubarb root tea, very nice. The decor was homy and comfortable and the staff were very friendly. I will definitely go there again.

Best Sunday lunch I've had for a long time.

Good quality Sunday lunch, let down by the value for money. £120 for a couple plus toddler for Sunday lunch is steep. Wife and I had 3 courses for £33. Both starters were great. Main courses lamb and beef.. both meats were exceptional. Roast potatoes were ok, 2 carrots on my plate. Yorkshire pudding pretty dry. Desserts were both very tasty. Toddler had a "kids dinner" which came to £16 and a "kids ice cream" which was more than £7. Over £6 a pint which I guess is the going rate in some restaurants these days but my wife had a glass of red wine which came to just shy of a tenner. That being said, all staff we interacted with were professional and very friendly. Nice welcome on arrival and friendly goodbyes from staff on exit. Our waiter interacted nicely with our toddler and baby (knew all the paw patrol characters which got a frown from my toddler but I was impressed!)

Just had a lovely Mother's Day Sunday lunch. Fishcake with added chunks of chard and kale sitting on a tomato bisque was a delicious start to the meal. The large slab of overnight roast lamb was so soft, albeit a little dry on its own, but a superb flavour and came with generous pot of gravy on the side. As usual, a good selection of well flavoured seasonal accompanying veg. Always a treat to visit.

We had a perfect Mothering Sunday lunch here. Between 4 us we ordered the Beef, Lamb, Pork and Fish and all we cooked to perfection and very flavoursome. Vegetable sides were also delicious as were the starters and desserts we ordered. Staff were friendly and service was excellent. Nice atmosphere and a well decorated and cosy venue. Highly recommended.

Food is always delicious here and the chef clearly likes and knows how to cook with fresh vegetables. Something that is getting harder to find in a lot of places. Atmosphere is low key and service is efficient. Place is clearly run by a team of professionals who are all working very well together, and who have high standards.

Favourite restaurant in Carmarthen never disappoints. Just the right quantity and the quality is spot on. Always our go to place locally for dinner and Sunday lunch, such tasty food.

Lovely bean soup with focaccia and my partner had the fishcakes. A glass of wine and a half or IPA in addition and it was roughly £35 with tip. Happy with this.

Ive been hesitant to write this because I feel bad for having to be so honest. I loved the idea of the warren and its ethos and the fact that its family run...but unfortunately the meal I had was well below standard. I'll start at the good points first. It's lovely when you walk in there - it's friendly and cosy...and surprisingly larger inside than it looks on the outside. The tables looked cute - the atmosphere of all the other people in there was lovely too - and it was busier than I would have thought for lunch. Ive been recommended the warren by a few people and they all seem to love it so I feel like our meal might have just been on a bad day - maybe when everyone else was eating quiche? My husband and I both ordered the burger & chips. As this had been raved about to us. It was really disappointing. The bun was really crumbly and felt stale - the cheese turned it into a grease fest (even though the meat itself was lovely and tender and juicy). There was no relief of any kind at all - yes there was a weird rather claggy creamy coleslaw which made little sense and provided no relief - other than good meat in it it felt really greasy and stodgy. The chips were not cooked properly and were still hard - it's a very unusual thing to mess up. I probably am a bit stuck up when it comes to a burger - but who doesn't expect a soft bun, juicy Burger and a crunch or some balance? (again, I will say that the main ingredient of the burger - the meat itself was lovely) which means again it could have been a bad day. It felt a bit like I was getting left overs. I left feeling like it was a wasted lunch which I could have enjoyed somewhere else. Im not confident about talking to staff when I'm not happy with a meal, so I don't know if it's a place I will risk and give another go.

I was a bit disappointed in the lack of food on the menu but the food I did order was really nice. I couldn't fault it, the place has a nice feel to it staff were very nice and friendly. Highly recommend

Outstanding food, great service and atmosphere

A disappointing meal. £33 for a 2 course meal. Definitely not worth it. The turkey was dry, very limited vegetables offered and serving was too small. Taste of the main meal was lovely enough but not for £33. I'm a real pudding lover but did not enjoy this dessert. Was not impressed by the service either. I did not appreciate having a card machine in my face everytime I ordered a drink. One servant was particularly rude and would not cater to our group's needs. We did not expect to arrive and expect to be on two separate tables. Apparently putting tables together meant there would be not enough room to serve the food. That is absolutely rubbish as there was plenty of room. The other servant was lovely. We pre ordered our food a month in advance, had to pay a deposit (as expected and happy to do so) and then expected to pay for outstanding fee prior to attending, which I was not told about beforehand. Me and my colleagues were not impressed by this as we have never had to pay for food in advance. What is the point of asking for a deposit if we have to pay for food before the event. I was sent multiple emails asking for money before the event which I did not appreciate at all. The food took ages to come out considering we ordered a month in advance. It is such a shame as we had such a great experience two years ago but after tonight we will not be returning.

This place is wonderful. Great menu, really helpful staff, great interior. Someone greeted us when we arrived and thanked us for our custom when we left. Beautiful home made tartar sauce with home made fishcakes and chunky chips. Will certainly return. Highly recommended.

This is my go to place for a good meal in Carmarthen

We come here quite often but this was a birthday celebration. The staff, service and food is quite wonderful with lots of different tastes and a good choice to please everyone. My venison was magnificent and was quite a chunk, great cooking and value for money. Lovely desserts and excellent house wine. We'll be back for the special Christmas menu. I can recommend it without hesitation.

Went for Sunday lunch and it was stunning. I ordered the beef - it was so tender it was falling apart and the vegetable accompaniment was delicious and perfectly seasoned. Both my friend and I agreed it was the best Sunday dinner we had eaten in a long while. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely fantastic cafe/restaurant. The food is amazing and the staff were wonderful. We visited on a very rainy Thursday evening when they were pretty quiet, but the welcome was extremely warm (despite us getting our arrival in the time wrong by half an hour). The veggie burger was fantastic, really nice to see a proper homemade veggie burger that hits all the spots. Drinks were great, including a delicious organic pinot grigio. Desserts were sublime.

Spotted this gem of a cafe/restaurant by chance whilst having a wander around Carmarthen. We both enjoyed a lovely, good quality lunch and the staff were very friendly. I would certainly recommend to anyone. Good, wholesome food, obviously prepared with care and attention. Dog friendly too which was a bonus!

Absolutely fantastic, the food was spot on 5*, the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. If the weather is good when you arrive, opt for the outdoor seating, it's a long right alley (very Italian feel) with the scent of fresh herbs that are growing all along the top of the wall. Bottom line is ,we had an absolutely lovely time when we called in. Couldn't have asked for more

Super recommend! Amazing food, lovely service and nice calm environment with good music. Vegan insanely good burger was the highlight for me but all the other options of our table was very much appreciated as well.

What an absolutely incredible experience we had eating here. All of the staff were so so lovely, and very professional from start to finish. I had the aubagine rolls and I can honestly say that the dish was the best veggie meal I've eaten at a restaurant. The rest of my table had beef burgers, venison, steak and the vegan burger and everyone agreed that it was the next meal they've eaten out in a long time! If you're looking for somewhere to eat in Carmarthen, book a table here - you won't be disappointed!

Visited last time WHAT AN AMAZING PLACE thank you so much for making our anniversary special they even asked my husband for our first dance song and plays this while we had deserts. I LOVE food and boy was it worth the visit the wine was amazing and the steak was cooked perfect will definitely be visiting again thank you

Brilliant... Well worth checking this place out. 4 years later and I still remember the meal I had here. Sadly the distance is too great to make it a regular visit. There's something truly assume about a meal, experience that happened all that time ago that you remember and still wish to repeat. One day.

We had a party of 6 and two dogs, and we had an absolutely perfect meal here. We had the days special of pulled pork, a vegan burger, beef burgers, and the hummus starter. Everyone was delighted with their meal. Staff were really on it, giving suggestions that's were really helpful. Fast with the drinks which was important on such a hot day! We also had the tart desert and pavlova which were also very nice. I think it's safe to say theyve got a tight menu and has perfected it. They were very dog friendly and great vegan options.

Recently had a Sunday lunch, while travelling back to Pembrokeshire. The lunch was very tasty, if not a little small. While I appreciate the ethos of the restaurant in using organic and local produce, I do feel the price of the single course lunch at £22.95 to be a little high. In terms of service, it would have been nice to be asked whether we required any condiments. Having requested horseradish sauce, we were given a small pot between our party of three, which we felt was rather sparse. On a positive, the food was tasty, and the Warren appeared to be a popular eatery in Carmarthen. With this in mind, they must be getting things right.

We had an enjoyable lunch here today. The staff were very accommodating in putting tables together and providing high chairs for our grandchildren. The food was slightly underwhelming. My pulled pork bap was rather tasteless. The organic beef burgers were good but over salted. Fish cakes were quite small. Soup of the day was nice. Children's portions were too big and too expensive.

Had a lovely lunch here with my wife and dog. Waitress brought mat, water bowl and treat for our dog, really nice touch. We had a lovely beef burger and fries for lunch. Really nice atmosphere, great service and feels COVID secure. All at great value. Recommended.

We called in here with our dog and were offered a warm and friendly welcome. They had all the COVID restrictions sorted sensibly and safely. Our dog was given his own rug to lie on, water and a treat and the staff made a fuss of him. Then they moved on to us Our food was excellent, the coffee was delicious, it was reasonably priced and the service was superb. Our veggie burgers were huge and tasty (try the beetroot ketchup) and the cheesecake was delicious. We could not fault any aspect of The Warren, keep it up folks
