We had a delicious takeaway freshly prepared by delightful owners. They stayed open until 7.30pm, later than advertised x

Called in on a very wet day after a walk - gent who served us was very friendly and his coffee was top notch. Just had a couple of Welsh cakes which were fresh and the best ever! Felt like an important part of the community- very busy!

Best Thai food I’ve ever had. Very family friendly and accommodating as well. Vince and Poon run an absolute gem. Couldn’t recommend it more.

My wife and I visited the Poone Cafe/restauarant fist in Oct 24 and had a superb light lunch we promised to return when they re-opened in spring 25. We did exactly that last night Had a very warm welcome from Vince and Megan ordered Thai started spring Rolls and chicken Skewers mains were Jasmine rice chicken/ black beans with veg and Chicken noodles. Incredible food good portions extremely tasty and superb value for money. Great atmosphere as we made great conversation from Mark and Natalie from Winchester. Best evening for a very long time including top restaurants in Cardiff and Bristol . Big thanks to all staff. Putting it simple to anyone thinking of visiting JUST GO Gerry

What a lovely place. Really welcoming. Clean and tidy great atmosphere. We had two small breakfasts and a couple of coffees. There was oat milk for the coffee just like I like it. Good value small breakfasts cooked to perfection. Gentleman who served us advised us to keep to the coast road on our journey to Tenby and we were glad we took his advice. Recommended.

Just rounded off a lovely day in Pendine & Laugharne with a stunning Thai meal in Poon’s. We had skewers, Pad Thai & Beef curry - all cooked freshly to perfection. The flavours were excellent, beef was ‘melt in the mouth’, prawns were meaty & tender. To cap it all, the welcome was glowing (unlike the cold, damp, windy evening). Also, great value. Thank you so much.

A lovely food place with friendly owners. We stayed locally and had two Thai dishes to takeaway one evening, which were really tasty and then had the breakfast muffin the next morning. It was huge and tasty!

Probably one of the best beef curry's I've had in my life . The people there , the owners are just perfect hosts. The beef in black bean was top quality and the apple and blackcurrant crumble was quite simply perfect. Thank you

So glad we stumbled upon this little gem in Laugharne. Food is very tasty made with good quality and fresh ingredients. Highly recommend the Thai options but if you prefer English my husband had the best breakfast bap he has ever had.

I ordered stir fried chicken & rice for the husband, plenty of it and really nice. I also ordered Tom Yum soup which is my all time favourite dish. What I was given instead was what seemed to be a very mild red curry as it had a thick coconut sauce. Tom Yum is meant to be a fiery clear broth. As it was take out I didn’t realise until I got home. Very disappointed.

Immediately a warm and welcoming atmosphere, greeted kindly as we entered. Woman serving us was lovely and food was quick. The food in question was amazing, especially after a mediocre lunch elsewhere. The Steak was incredible, and very generously sized. The Pad Thai and Pork Mince Stir Fry were also reportedly amazing, so no complaints at all. Would absolutely recommend to anyone in the area, for both British and Thai cuisine.

Nothing but praise for this place! We had a warm welcome from the gentleman behind the counter and our drinks order was taken very quickly. Our waitress was very polite and fast in bringing our drinks. Again food orders were taken with no excessive waiting time. We ordered a starter of chicken skewers which were a good price and were delicious, cooked to perfection with a lovely sauce. I ordered the chicken pad thai which was incredible and was a perfect portion. Our table also ordered the pork mince stir fry with rice which was outstanding and the steak, chips and peas, in which the portion was huge and the steak was cooked exactly to request. Again no faults at all with this place and I highly recommend. Lovely staff, reasonable prices and outstanding food. 10/10

Staying at the Dylan coastal resort and stumbled across this little gem.. so pleased we did - the best Thai food we have ever eaten, super authentic, fresh, very generous portions of meat .. extremely tasty!! So good we’re heading back for more tomorrow and the after that until we leave! A must visit!!! Thank you so much

So glad I found this hidden treasure whilst holidaying in Laugharne, South Wales. The food was absolutely delicious, truly authentic and packed full of flavour. It is freshly prepared and so it takes a little longer but it’s well worth the wait. We ordered the Prawn Noodles which was a generous portion with lots of king prawns within and the Thai Green Veg Curry with Jasmine Rice which transported you straight to Bangkok. It’s a shame we found it on the last day of our trip, don’t make the same mistake and certainly visit this place if you’re in the area.

We enjoyed a great meal here last night. We ate early because of having children so there weren’t any other guests until we were close to leaving, however the food was fantastic. For starter we had spring rolls, pork skewers and chicken skewers which were delicious, and for mains we enjoyed Beef Rendang, pork mince, prawn fried rice and chicken Pad Thai which were all really tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful too. A great experience with authentic home cooked food.

Great food, and the fact that you can bring in beer from the pub next door is a bonus. PS did I say that the food is great!? Recommend the Papaya Salad for those that like a bit of heat.

Excellent food and service, hidden gem in Laugharne, can't recommend enough

What I loved about this place was that I could have prawn noodles whilst my sons were able to have chicken nuggets and a sandwich. I had loads of prawns in my dish and it was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of spice 👌 service was friendly and there was a very homely ambience.

Called in on our way back home from a week in Pembrokeshire as a bit of a spontaneous decision. Are we glad we did though as this is the first time we’ve eaten here and I can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone! What an incredible place to eat if you like Thai food (they do other food too including breakfast etc) but we went for the Thai meals. From the moment we walked in the door the reception from the waiting staff was fabulous and very friendly and welcoming. The service was fantastic and the authentic food we had was second to none! We will definitely be back when we are passing by!!! Thanks very much!

If you are near by, you must try this lovely little restaurant. We have just come back from a Thai meal there this evening. The photos do not do it justice! Really friendly service, very welcoming. More seats upstairs so don't be put off by small downstairs when you first look in. Hoping to go back before we leave.

Just had my birthday lunch here. Full breakfasts, delicious pad Thai. All came out hot, tasty and in no time at all! Something for everyone. We'll definitely be back!

We had food here twice. Wednesday night we had a Thai takeaway that was so delicious we could have eaten it all over again. This morning (Friday) I had a full 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 breakfast, that was fantastic and unable to finish because of the generous portions. Would happily recommend this place if you find yourself nearby.

Visited a few times when we come for holidays in saunderfoot over the years, lovely place for food, staff are very welcoming and friendly. Food is fantastic, highly recommend breakfast and the chicken stir fry with noodles 👍👍 looking forward to our next visit 🙂

Love Poons street food! We have visited Poons every time we come to Wales and can't get enough of the food, especially the Thai Green curry. The place feels so friendly and inviting.

We had lunch here... Food was really good - my wife is Thai and really enjoyed the pad Thai. My daughter's both had Tom Yum prawn soup with rice and both loved it. So if you're are visiting Laugharne Castle this is the perfect place to stop for lunch. By the way they also do English Food.

Had lunch here today with family. The food was hot n awesome. The host n the chef were very warm n welcoming. Wish we knew about the BYOB Policy when we came here so that could’ve enjoyed our drinks along with it. Plan to get it the next time we decide to go.The warm, cosy restaurant is worth visiting.

Ate here 3 times in one week because the food and prices were so good! Tried Thai Green Curry, Beef Curry and Stir Fry Pork and it was all so delicious and packed with flavour and pleasant heat. The restaurant offers Thai and English food, so there is something for everyone. They were also so friendly to us and our little boy. I could not recommend this place enough, the only place worth eating at in Laugharne ☺️

Super tasty place for lunch. We had prawn pad Thai and Thai green curry. It was so good we took some more home for dinner. Sandwiches and all day breakfast also available so a great place to go with all the family.

Great place and excellent food and service

Popped in for a snack one afternoon. Had chicken skewers and veg spring rolls. Quirky and exactly what I like. Came back after a run with dog for a breakfast. Really good bacon, sausage and toast. Nice coffee. Just watching the home made cakes arriving!

Wow. After arriving for a 2 day break and finding most of the restaurants closed we stumbled upon this little gem of a place. Really fantastic food, fresh, authentic and FULL of flavour. Great value too, had 3 courses for less than £20 per person. Will 100% go back again before we leave. Thank you!
