Absolutely loving the refurb! Visited for lunch on reopening day. Staff were friendly, and even tried to make my grumpy 1 year old smile. Saskia served us, and she was lovely! We ordered the salted caramel bubble waffle sundae - and it was better than Creams !

Absolutely delicious traditional carvery, everything was cooked & served to perfection - massive compliments to the chef and staff who prepared my meal. I requested mash & cauliflower cheese with all veg - followed request perfectly - my fav veg green beans, carrots, peas etc. Definitely the best in Coventry!

I had a carvery 3-4pm. The meat, roasties, stuffing and mash were lovely, the vegetables, peas and carrots, were awful, tasted like overcooked frozen veg. Part of the appeal of a carvery for me is an abundance of fresh veg, so I was disappointed.

The place was clean and tidy, the staff were polite and obliging, the food was fantastic, we'll be back!!!

We popped into today I was with my friend and her son we didn’t have a booking and they were busy and let us take a seat anyway after a misunderstanding on my own behalf we ended up waiting a while to order and the staff were more than generous allowing my friends son to see Santa free off charge and let him have breakfast and a drink free of charge, first place I’ve been for food where the staff have gone above and beyond even under the Christmas stress, what a great team

Booked online which was nice and easy. Lovely welcome on arrival and shown to our table. Carvery was lovely. Plenty of fresh meat constantly being replaced and nice choice of vegetables and sauces. Will definitely visit again soon.

All the staff were nice and polite in all areas. The only down side was the food, we had a carvery and only got one slice of meat, veg and roast potatoes were really hard and the gravy was like water.

Just had a family lunch at The Walsgrave & we all agreed it was the BEST meal ever! We always go carvery as it has such a good selection, but what made this trip EXTRA special was the ROAST POTATOES!!! We were amongst the first customers up when service started & the roasts were loaded up, then extra ones appeared. They looked as though they were left over from the last service then re-cooked. The result was a mound of CRISPY, CRUNCHY, WELL-COOKED, DELICIOUS ROAST POTATOES EVER!!!! Please keep doing them this way as it made the meal extra tasty! Thank you!

I bought a party of 36 women for our annual Christmas dinner and we all loved it. We had one waiter serving us and she worked really hard looking after us, getting us what we needed, drinks, etc plus sorting out heating, etc, The food was lovely, it was hot, very tasty and everyone seemed to be happy.

Booked here for a nice pub meal after being in the cinema. Arrived at about 7.15pm and we were eventually seen and shown to our seats. Drinks order came as you'd expect but the food ordering wasn't as speedy even though the menu options aren't the best. Placed the order and I chose the bacon cheese burger. The bill arrived before the meal which baffled me, I almost wish it didn't because the burger wasn't the best. It resembled a couple of frozen patties with anorexic bacon on skinny buns, absolutely nothing like the images shown or what you'd expect from somewhere like here. It wouldn't even make the 99p menu at McDonald's. It was also hotter than hell in there which made the experience even worse. Would I eat here again? Not at all. Everything felt rushed except the service and I may have ordered a dessert if I hadn't already paid for the meal. Didn't bother leaving a review or a tip when the server left the card and I'm glad I didn't.

Breakfast at The Walsgrave. Emma greeted us as friendly and cheerful as ever. She chatted with us when she could in between serving other customers and making sure that they were ok. Emma kept the restaurant clean and tidy, making sure tables were cleared, clean and re laid quickly. Its a pleasure to visit The Walsgrave, Emma makes us feel very welcome.

Front of house not present on arrival, even though we booked a table we had to find a random table all by ourselves, front of house then came to our table after we had eaten and asked us for a review which I find mind boggling as this was the first time I’d met him so not sure why he’s asked for a 5 star review with his name, the breakfast was amazing, the chefs were helpful, one even came to our table to tell us the drinks were finishing and she then fetched me a coffee(summer) infact summer and hazel were very helpful

What a treat?. I had the carvery which was hot and tasty. Three types of meat, two types of potatoes and usually four types of vegetables, Yorkshire , sauces and lovely gravy. All the staff are friendly and nothing is to much trouble for them. You will need to book in advance as it gets very busy towards Christmas 😊

This is my fave pub in Coventry. They always have the footie on, drinks are reasonably priced and the carvery is delicious (I haven't tried other menu items though because I can't resist the roast potatoes!). Always a great, friendly atmosphere :)

Food was OK but got barred 20 years ago for wearing a wig on my mates birthday and they kept the ban going I felt like Charles Bronson with the length of the ban. Was looking over my shoulder a bit to see if my plate would get swiped but all was good 😀 (oh I wore the wig because I got a 6 week ban for play fighting)

I was working on the roof of the building and The food on the servery deck was fresh and inviting and the staff here were friendly and helpful. Food was lukewarm and I’m not far from the Stonehouse. Had to hunt for the meat~ slivers! Gravy pot was a quarter full not enough to go on the Carvery.

We had a great visit, we didn't book and although the restaurant was booked out and very busy we were able to be seated in less than 5 minutes. The tradional carveries were beautiful. Food was fresh and had a great variety of choice on the deck. Children chicken burger and chips was a perfect portion and delicious! A fantastic service from Caitlyn, Rae and Anjon. Not forgetting Chef John! A great experience and we will 100% be returning!

Good English buffet breakfast and at a reasonable price. Definitely recommend trying. Parking available too👍 Returned for an evening Carvery Dinner and it was delicious too. Anjon our waiter was kind and efficient.👍 Would have been better with a bit of aircon.
