No cocinero Engreído y desagradable gerente sarcástico. Si él es el gerente. . .

. . . tarde agradable

I dropped in with a friend for a quick dinner; but we both left very disappointed and underwhelmed! I ordered chestnut soup which was perfectly OK. My friend ordered the smoked salmon with a soft boiled egg, but what arrived was cold salmon with a very cold hard boiled egg. It took more than 10 minutes to produce the salmon with a soft egg, which looked like it had been cooked in a microwave because the yoke had literally "exploded"........ very strange! For the main course we both ordered the 7-hour slow-roasted beef, it certainly sounded delicious. However, what was presented looked like a casserole, with 'tiny' pieces of chopped meat in a veggie/tomato type of sauce, with puree potatoes and red cabbage - the first mouthful revealed everything was straight out of the refrigerator!! The plates were taken away, apologies were made, and the waitress kindly offered us a small carafe of red wine as a gesture of good-will...... Eventually the main courses were re-presented: - the food was warm, but certainly could not have been described as hot, - i'm being generous in saying that there can't have been more than 50 grams of meat on each plate, - the beef certainly hadn't been cooked for 7 hours, - the best thing on the plate was the 1 table spoon of potato puree, - the tiny amount of cabbage was nondescript, - it was a very expensive plate of food for what it was! Having spent £60 (£30 each) we decided to cut our losses, declined dessert, paid and left quickly! The pub was busy but no one else was eating - so perhaps we should have taken the hint and had a pint and a packet of crisps instead! A ready meal from the supermarket down the road would have been preferable. At least I could have guaranteed a meal that was served hot, which tasted better, provided a sensible portion and would have cost 6x less!

A first time visitor to this stylish street corner pub near The Imperial War Museum. Enjoyed our roast dinners and drinks - the experience was enhanced by the attentive service. Slightly disappointed not to find any beers from nearby microbreweries on offer.

A nice pub with seating outside that has recently changed hands. A good range of beer with friendly and excellent service. The food was reasonable but nothing special. The flavours were good but the portion size for vegetables could have been bigger.

Great pub for sport - 7+ screens and nice vibe, not too packed and good music too. Good Guinness and lovely staff. Can't comment on food as we didnt eat but we will be back!

This little cafe is in a side street opposite the tube station. Unpretentious, with great coffee and excellent cake. What more could you want

I rarely ever used to eat burgers out... but this place has become a regular haunt. Highly recommend!

As I live round the corner I just walked in & ordered a bacon, sausage, egg & mushroom toasted sandwich/bloomer to take away. A few mins later when I returned home I will say it was "absolutely & incredibly cooked, sliced, layered & presented to perfection". A non branded local cafe serving great breakfasts using quality products. Overall compared to other cafes it wasn't a breakfast toasted sandwich that was just thrown together.

The commanding corner pub only a short walk from St. Matthews church in Brixton. Unfortunately, we were greeted with full-on football crowd when on arrival, but once the game was over and the rowdy intimidating clientele dissipated it became more bearable. Bizarrely they don't sell prosecco in large bottles, only expensive tiddly ones. The kitchen was broken or having a day off.
