Very nice. We were going for Chinese takeout but it was closed so this was our second choice. A great choice it was too.

Friendly staff, clean environment but THE greasiest doner kebab i have EVER had! Doner meat and chips - had to use kitchen towel to soak up the grease in the box Doner kebab - the grease soaked into the pitta. I picked up and my fingers were completly covered in grease. I did not eat the pitta as it was like a grease filled sponge. Would not order a doner kebab from here again. update - reduced to 1 star after stomach cramps and up all night on the toilet !!!

Never fails to hit the spot, great quality little takeaway serving the villages. Never had a bad one in 5yrs. Went tonight, but seems everyone else had the same idea LOL as it was rammed! Great to see though tbh.

We order from work frequently and the orders are every time prepared on time. Everything is nicely cooked and very fresh, the owner is always super friendly as well. Definitely recommend for a visit for anyone hungry as the portion sizes do not disappoint.

ordered a large chicken shish with salad and hummus tonight and it was brilliant! the portion size was great and the staff were very friendly and polite , very good,,, i will 100% be returning

If I could give this takeaway more stars, I would. It's legit the best takeaway by far for miles... I've never had any complaints about anything. The owner is lovely, the food is amazing and prices are totally fair. I would have included a photo but I'd inhaled my food by the time of writing this. Oh and forget to mention THE CHEESY CHIPS. OH MY, They're the best cheesy chips I've ever met.

Chips cold cheese not melted onion rings OK but as just been made wasn't very hot shame as I work away could of made some good costom 4 nights a week

Decent food. Way overpriced for the portion sizes. A large chips just isn't large and for the money isn't good value.... Times have never been tougher financially for some of us. Up the portion sizes or people will go elsewhere

Lovely service and great lamb kofta kebabs! Food actually tastes fresh and doesn't taste grim and greasy like you would get in your usual kebab shops. Deffo would reccommend!

Used the village chippy due to lockdown keeping us from our usual. First time we have not had chips left over to micro later. Asked for kebab meat only and got a kebab. A small one too compared to our usual. Its the second time we have used the village chippy. Wont be a third.

We live around 30 miles from The Village Takeaway but whenever we are in the area we always go. The kebabs are consistently brilliant, the lamb shish is always tender and tasty. Great friendly service and always wrapped really well for the long journey home!

Bin going in every Saturday and all I can say is consistently good food and fresh salad on kebabs, no complaints here 👍👍

Everything looks very clean and well presented. A wide ranging menu offers what look traditional English fare as well as familiar East European doner, shish and kebab things. Nice service and welcoming. I probably should have had one of the chap's native dishes which looked great because the fish and chips weren't very good. Frozen fish portion over-cooked and dry tasteless chips. I will go back and hope to be able to improve the rating.
