The Village Chippy in Shropshire

I use this place once or twice a month and it’s great. The couple that run it are so nice and friendly. The food is delicious and really reasonably priced.

I can honestly say these are the worst chips I have ever had, dry, not fresh, quite disgusting, don't bother.

Fantastic Fish and Chip Takeaway...tried several in Shrewsbury and this is by far the best...the owners are friendly, the prices are very reasonable and the food is of the highest standard... recommended!

Very friendly and welcoming staff who have amazing memories and recognise us each time we go in. I have always had quick service here and there are seats available if you have to wait on food. I have always found the food to be fresh and cooked just right, with the portions being excellent value for money. I would not hesitate to recommend this chip shop.

Just writeing quick review about the pie and chips i had, the pie was nice but dose not taste like a pukka pie, chips was good the salt was just salt so was grate. The curry sauce i had to get frined to try because was unsure of the taste. Over all the shop looks like cauld do with uplift (Clean) looks out dated Store is cash only, I up the star for free food!

Nice however the battered sausage had the texture of a rubber Band, chips and coke was nice .

This is far the best Chippy im the area, excellent food, hot and fresh, service with a smile Kebabs and fish pure cod and quality, Manager Jack takes pride to ensure only the best Quality not quantity must visit if the area Highly recommend it would give 6 if i could👍

Robbing horrible people, ordered a £16 delivery on just eat from this restaurant, they called me after they accepted the order and told me they don’t deliver to this area and that I need to cancel the order, so I cancelled the order and contacted just eat about my refund and they told me I need to contact the restaurant for my refund, so I rang the restaurant several times to be told to ring back when the manager is in, they took my details and kept telling me the same thing every time I rang, I rang about a week and a half ago, and told them if my refund was not going to be given back I have no option other than to contact police, they told me they have already sent the refund and it will be in my bank in 5 days, it has now been 2 weeks I rang up yesterday and he being very rude and still continued to tell me that the boss wasn’t there and that he contacted just eat yesterday and nothing has been done I have contacted just eat and they have told me that they have not been in contact with the restaurant so I still have not got my money back! Discusting and the police have been contacted, thief’s ! Also reported to council how can anyone steal someone’s moneyb

Got a pie and chips from here, pie was well cooked, but just a Pukka pie at the end of the day - it was the chips that really stood out; crispy, not too greasy and a good sized portion. Would recommend!

I've been there 3 times now hoping it would be better this time, but it's not everything was dry, the pies were hard. Sorry but I won't be going back

For a chip shop it serves incredible tasting pizza, my favourite being hot and spicy. Well worth a try if you fancy something different to chips etc. The staff work extremely hard to please their customers and are always happy to have a chat. Well done Village chippy.😁

Fish was good, chips too unless get them at 5 as they seem yesterday's. Obvs these are not anything like the Blists Hill museum chips, but do very well for a dinner. We normally get small chips and this is enough for me, my husband and the two little boys.

Again yet another failing chip shop. It's a poor day when you can't get a decent portion of chips. Very hit and miss, had one good meal and 4 bad so I suppose it's more miss that hit. They need to pick their game up and let everyone know that they are going to be consistent or just shut the doors.

Wide selection from fish and chips to kebabs to healthy wraps battered mushrooms staff are pretty friendly good sized portions

Tried them twice and got greasy stodge twice!!
