22 Broadland MG members stopped off at Oswestry Premier Inn this being an ideal stop on route to North Wales only 11 mile to Llangollen another ideal comfort stop during which time you could take a trip on the local horse drawn barge. Not to be missed. David Johnson Broadland MGOC

It was ok, nothing special, price/performance not necessarily great, but ok for 1 night. Breakfast was great. Staff at reception courteous.

A little bit of a walk into town and the rooms are of a good PI standard but looking a little dated

Excellent staff who made the stay memorable. Why, in their infinate wisdom, their management have made the attached pub only accessible to Premier Inn guests, but, with staff that attentive, its a definite plus.

On our wedding anniversary we had chocolates left on our bed and a free pudding at the table top restaurant that evening. The only thing that was wrong was the kettle never worked , had to go and get in changed !!!

Staff at the reception were helpful and the rooms were clean and standard for a premier inn. Location is not scenic but good for convenience.

Nice hotel, helpful and friendly staff. Only ideal for people staying who travel by car. Hotel is a mile and half out from the centre, and there is no public transport. Nearest bus stop is half mile walk. Huge free car park.

Premier are consistently good, clean and consistent. Slight blip on this occasion when the TV froze (with volume on) as we were about to go to sleep. Necessitated getting dressed to visit reception to (eventually) resolve the issue. Sited on an industrial estate but close to major road networks.

We had a great room but it smelled of cigarette smoke/tobacco. There were no more rooms available, but the staff did air freshen it and kind of de smoked it a bit, but the bedding still smelled of smoked cigarettes, even with the window open.

Great hotel - and just what you’d expect at a Premier Inn: Clean, tidy & modern with all the necessary amenities. Staff were great and very obliging & swift when we needed to change rooms due to a minor issue of a blocked sink. The bar next door had a great selection of food & drinks including plant-based options and staff were chatty & courteous.

This is the first Premier Inn I have stayed in, where my sleep was disturb by the relentless banging of room doors, which continued well after midnight. This said i can't fault the service. The staff were friendly and professional, the rooms were emaculate and it was an ideal location for my visit to the Veterans Orthopaedic service.

The Premier Inn was exactly as you would expect and front of house staff great. We had a group booking of 14 people and everyone was happy with their stay. However the affiliated pub was a disgrace. Despite the website saying its open 7 -11pm, Friday night we were told to drink up at 10.30pm as they were closing in the next 10 mins. The waiter/barman or whoever he was, had a really bad attitude and was very rude. Saturday we were told he'd close at 10pm. When one of the group was 12 mins late for an 8am Sunday breakfast booking he was equally rude telling them they had 20 mins left to eat because they needed to lay up for mothers day!!! If another member of staff hadn't said breakfast was included they would have walked away. They'd already lost a further 9 breakfast bookings because of the way the group were spoken to Friday night. We certainly won't be going there again - one member of rude staff spoils it for everyone and I would suggest he's in the wrong job. Table Table does not deserve the franchise with Premier Inns

My ratings are based on what you would expect from a budget hotel at the pricepoint, not what you could expect from Claridges! Always stay in Premiers when taking a few days break in the uk and been to this one quite a few times. Always a good experience here. Clean, well presented and well attended. Located on the edge of a commercial/ industrial estate, but dont let that put you off- it's a perfect location for putting you straight onto the main roads and for attractions. It offers all you could really ask for from a Premier. Good accommodation, plentiful free parking, and a good pub/restaurant on site.

Used to enjoy Chicken Ceylon but evidently it is not the same dish anymore, perhaps the chef has changed but there is very little evidence of any coconut and it now tastes like any other curry dish. Disappointed.

We have eaten here on previous occasions and have had nice food and good service in the past but not on this occasion . I booked this meal out for my wife’s birthday meal on Saturday night which all 9 of us were really looking forward to. I dropped the birthday cake and balloons for the table off earlier that day as I wanted to make the night special. We were very disappointed from start to finish! From the waitress who was rude and miserable who was attending our table she really shouldn’t be waiting on tables with an attitude like she had. We waited an age to get drinks to our table when they did eventually came out it was in dribs and drabs very slow service. Two of the drinks had to go back as they were mocktails not cocktails. When the food was brought to the tables we were handed the plates and not warned that the plates were hot my daughter and myself nearly dropped them. my wife ordered the steak well done as she always has it, it was so overcooked and dry it was barely edible, not once were we asked if the food was okay and no one came over to ask if everything was okay. But the table behind us which was a party of approx 6 who obviously knew some of the staff were attended by at least 3 staff and looked after so much it’s shame they couldn’t look after all their customers like that. Once again the food was brought out in such slow succession that when we started to eat some of the food was just warm. The final straw was when we were ordering the food I noticed that on the back of the menu it stated if you had a birthday there the person whose birthday it was received a free meal. However when I went to pay the bill I noticed that my wife’s inedible steak was on there. When I then mentioned to the waitress about what it said on the menu even though she’d served us all night saw the balloons on the table and even brought the birthday cake to the table she told me I’d have to prove it was her birthday. This just put the icing on what was an awful birthday meal. When I explained you’ve just served us the cake and why would I spend £50 on a birthday cake just to get a £30 steak free. She then smirked at me and said I can’t do it anyway I’ll have to get the restaurant manager. I would seriously reconsider eating here again. Your waiting staff seriously need some manners when serving customers. Thank you for ruining my wife’s birthday meal.
