The View in Canterbury

My son bought chips from here and found a blade from the potato cutter at the bottom of the box. When his friends mum went to complain about this she was met with a very rude response “well it’s just part of the potato cutter” like this is a normal occurrence. They gave him £2.50 back and didn’t even replace the chips until he asked where they told him he should pay! Vile customer service this place needs shutting down.

Just found a blade in a small portion of chips, glad we saw it before we ate.

Nice pier, plenty of little shops, bazaar style, and a couple of rides for children. Fish and chips (avoid) soggy under cooked chips with low quality fish. Ice cream was melted on purchase and not cold enough.

Didn't quite like it. We could only eat chips which was fine but the woman who served us was impatient. We were the only customers at the time, ordered food then asked if we could have a look at a drink bottle because we were deciding between two drinks. We chose quickly but she grabbed the bottle forcefully and slammed it down on the counter. Immediately I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. She kept on a smile and remained talking politely, which I appreciate but I was glad to leave. Decor was okay, price was good, chips were thin and turned into mushy chips but it was a nice portion.

Service polite but slow, needed more staff. Chips showed promise but were only just cooked through and missing the soft on the inside crunchy on the outside goodness of chippy chips. Probably only a couple more minutes in the fryer would have made all the difference.

Currently sat here stuffing our faces to the excellent food !! Nicely priced with huge portions. We was shocked how quickly our food was prepared and bought out to us. Lovely location (on the pier)
