One of the best pizzas I've had and a nice change from the norm. I had the crab pizza which was so good. They also had lobster pizza and a scallop pizza plus the usual pizza. Price wasn't out the way around £15 for the above mentioned pizza and around £10 for the usual classic. Service was pretty quick and efficient however it wasn't overly busy when we were eating. Atmosphere felt like a beach bar. Somewhere you could enjoy some drinks in the sun or have a good pizza and a pint of coke. Recommended if you fancy a good pizza in St Ives

Great food and service from this little gem in st Ives - just far enough off the Main Street to not be jammed full, and the pizzas are awesome. We opted for a crab based one and a lamb one - both excellent and the dough was really nice (I suffer with dough from the likes of dominos with crazy indigestion!). Definitely worth a visit! Oh and dog friendly!

Dirty tables, staff chatting to each other and not bothered about paying customers, one table had birds mess on it for over an hr maybe more but left, a couple walked out after 15 minutes waiting to be served and it wasn’t busy. I have been going to st ives for the last 4 years and used a lot of the restaurants including the upper deck . Pizzas have always been lovely . However on this occasion my daughter, partner and baby travelled down for a few days . We all went to upper deck . We carried the pushchair up the steps to be greeted with you can’t bring the baby in here . I was really shocked as it was only 6.15 pm . I could understand if it was after 9 pm or even 8 pm . For god sake they only serve pizza and you sit on plastic chairs . It’s not as though it’s an upmarket restaurant. To my amazement my daughter told me this had happened in one of the other restraunts . They were that upset they left there holiday and went home early . I am fuming and upset . I can’t believe the No children and baby s in restraunts . I thought St ives was a family place .

Table service even for drinks which was nice. Waiter was pleasant, excellent at his job and good at recalling previous orders. One complaint: Unisex Toilets, I hate them!

Charged at point of ordering... always a red flag. Gourmet pizzas apparently, but with bought in bases we were disappointed. Don't expect black pepper, they dont have it! (Seriously, I could not quite believe it, its a pizzaria.) Mayo - in sachets. No under 18's allowed but if you have a small yappy dog, come on in! Very disappointed, £16 for each of our 9" pizzas, expected better... gormet as advertised would have been nice. Plus points- nice view, out of the wind & seagulls can't get to you behind the glass and under the umbrellas.

A great place to meet up with friends. There's always background music to help create a beach party atmosphere. Table service too, so you can sit and enjoy the views. No waiting inside in a queue for ages while your friends are having all the fun. Realty attentive and professional staff. Who, I might add, also have a sense of humour. All in all a great place. Wrap up warm if it's windy though and you still want to sit outside. It can get a bit blowy up there, even with the full glass screen and parasols. Otherwise you can always retreat into the bar itself. But let's be honest, you don't go up there to sit inside. You want that view. So take a jacket and go and have fun I didn't give feedback for food as I didn't eat there. 😜

Sat on the terrace on a beautiful sunny afternoon sipping sangria and watching the world go by. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. We ordered a pizza to share which was very nice too. Staff were frazzled in the heat but still friendly.

Called in for a drink before heading home . Had two large glasses of Pinot at a price of £9.50 each . I could justify the price but it wasn’t chilled and very thick wine glasses ( have had better wine glasses in Wetherspoons)

Just one thing to say the toilets are disgusting, sank of male pee , floor wet with urine , unisex pee all over toilets seats and the smell was terrible, unisex toilets need to be checked more often . Not pleasant for a female or anyone to be honest !

I was with my wife in Upper deck because we wanted to eat pizza. The waiter (guy with dark ginger beard) came pretty quickly to take our order. The problem started when the table that came in after us got their order after 10 minutes, and we were still waiting for our pizzas. When I asked the waiter about the waiting time, he said 6 minutes. Another table came and also got their pizzas after 10 minutes and still nothing with our order. After 45 minutes I asked for a refund, and the waiter didn't even know what kind of pizza we ordered, even though he entered it into the system. Unfortunately, the service does not deserve any star. There are far better places to spend your time and money

Solid 4/5 lunch spot. The pizza was good value for money and available in 2 sizes. My wife and I both chose the 9 inch, a Margharita and one vegetarian. We initially sat inside, to stay out the sun, however once a table became available outside in a shaded area we moved. The pizza arrived within 10 minutes and at first glance didn't look overally impressive. Once we started eating we realise that there was nothing to complain about. The pizza crust was quite soft with nice toppings and fresh taste. It certainly wasn't the best pizza I have ever had, but for the money i wasn't complaining. Negative pointers, was firstly the music which was too loud and needed turning down a few notches. Secondly the tables don't seem to sit flat and rock when you're trying to eat. Apart from that, we had a pleasant time at the Upper Deck.

Waited 10-15 mins at the bar whilst the barman vaped. Asked the waitress for drinks. She walked past us to another table. Went to the bar to order. Told its table service. Absolutely awful service. The waitress seemed more inclined to chat to the table of younger men. Sitting with them, laughing, than actually doing her job!! It’s a shame because it’s a lovely place.

Scottish people beware! Four of us went and had cocktails at The Upper Deck (over £40) paid with out Scottish bank card. Mediocre cocktails to say the least. As I wasn’t keen on the drink I went up to the bar and ordered a half pint of lager which they poured. I handed over a Scottish £10 note and they refused to take it as they said it was Scottish money and could be counterfeit!!! Absolute discrimination and quite offensive to suggest all Scottish people would pay with counterfeit money. We asked to speak to the manager (who set these rules apparently) but he did not appear as he was apparently not there. The bar staff thereafter poured the drink away and we left the premises. Thankfully the rest of the places we visited in St Ives were more than happy to accept our money and were shocked when they heard of our experience at this establishment.

Went in after looking through St Ives for lunch, Pizza and snacks on the menu, we opted for a large Pizza to share, a pint of very good local ale and a large glass of wine £22.00 great value will definitely return.

Dirty tables, scummy floors and bathrooms. Cocktails are way overpriced for that they are and the staff are disinterested and generally bulchy. All the makings of a classic tourist trap bar that doesn't even offer a large sea view. Won't be going ever again.

Watch out for the step!!! My daughter who has limited mobility fell up the step and went sprawling ! Whilst we were there five people tripped up the step. I noted to the waitress that this seemed to be an issue but 🤷‍♀️

There was nothing gourmet about the pizza and the tomato base was spicy. I don't eat chilli, so basically ruined my pizza. Tiny cocktail for that price £££. The only attribute to this place is the amazing and friendly blonde waitress, with the plated pigs tails

Went to the upper deck and met a great barman Dav. He provided with great service, really looked after us & was really attentive to all our needs. Shining example to the sloop. Fantastic humour & apparently a good rugby player.

Me and girlfriend went here in august, beautiful weather lovely bar with harbour view, drinks tasted great! A place to visit for a quick refreshment stop. Bar staff polite, glasses clean, tables clean, service was great

Really nice deck for a drink at lunchtime. They only do pizza 🍕 for food which is a shame. I think if it was my business I would at least buy in a load of pasties as everyone like a bite with a drink especially at lunchtime. Great chill music playing and nice views. We visited this place yesterday (30.08) and I have to say .. it was a disaster. I,ve ordered Aperol Spritz and my partner a Pina Colada with waitress in black t-shirt. After a while the waitress (blond pony tail in white t-shirt) came up to us with both hands in her pockets and announced that they don't have "coconut stuff", whatever she meant ... this is called coconut cream ... So then, my partner asked for a Strawberry daiquiri but she told us, (still with her hands in pockets) that ice crusher is broken .. Ok, my partner then asked for a beer, any bottle beer.. then she came back 5 min later to ask if he wanted a bottle or draft ? The waitress then brought to the table an open bottle, with no glass. My partner asked is there any chance for glass? But she turned and walked away . I don't think she was even listening what the customer was asking for.. I was working for 16 years in customer services and this attitude is shocking . She wasn't rude but the level of ignorance is unacceptable . Looks like serving there, is a painful job for her. No wonder all the other restaurants around were very busy apart from yours.

Absolutely fab. Service was excellent. Good value and great location.

We initially were going to go in of an evening however was a little bit loud for us, loud music and a higher tier bar vibe. Really great on any other night for us. Really posh looking. We did visit in the day time the day after however very quiet as in the day a bit awkward in there. That's what we get for going to a bar in the day! Lovely drinks and swift service.

The ambience was rather uninspiring. The music was too loud, the tables were wet and sticky and after several requests to clean the table, the staff just said "yes" and left without coming back. The pizza came in cardboard boxes from probably another restaurant. The waitress was seen coming up to the terrace with the pizza boxes from the direction of the sea. That's not bad at all and probably even a business strategy, but it still gives you a bad feeling. Because then I could have gone to the restaurant where they served the pizzas. After all the hardships, the assumption was that the pizza boxes would simply be placed on the table. And that's exactly what happened. The pizzas were not put on a plate and not topped with a small edible leaf. Cutlery was also just plastic. The fork even broke in the process of cutting. The pizza was surprisingly good, there was nothing to complain about. Overall, more like a bar than a restaurant.

We visited here after a lovely boat trip around St Ives, we couldn’t fault the drinks or the view. However, when it comes to the food we were bitterly disappointed. Where to begin…my partner and I ordered the chicken burgers and my partner asked for some amendments on his to which he was told that this may be an inconvenience to the cafe below who they get the food from! As a paying customer I just thought this was a little bit rude. The burger is supposed to come with lettuce, tomato and bbq sauce (or a different sauce of your choice as stated on the menu) so my partner asked for burger sauce instead of bbq and everything else as it comes. When it arrived, there was no lettuce or tomato, and the only thing as well as chicken was BBQ sauce; completely wrong. The burger was nice enough but not worth what we paid when we could have just had a drink and nipped to the cafe ourselves for cheaper. Just to add the burger was over £8 and didn’t even come with chips which we thought was a but strange. All in all, we would recommend going here for drinks only as it was lovely, but definitely avoid getting food.

Just a heads up to you don't get duped by this. Was really disappointed when we ordered food. We ordered some wraps and they took absolutely ages to arrive, then we discovered why. They had gone to the cafe down the road for them, which they handed to us at our table in take out wrap paper and charged £7.50 each for the privilege not even a plate provided. We later passed said cafe (the sticker was on the wrapping) and they had added a margin of 50%. They are not upfront and transparent that this is what they do. The view is lovely and our server was friendly, I also appreciate and have no issue with paying a surcharge for the environment, but they didn't give us the choice. Businesses work hard to turn a profit and I always want to be supportive, but they need to be honest with their customers.

Laughable, should have realised from the small menu and unwillingness to adjust menu, but they actually get there food from a cafe up the road (mor cafe)and put two pound on every item! Kind of awkward when you need to send an item back, and have to wait for them to sneak out and change it with the cafe, which obviously takes time lol. Should tell you up front really or on the menu. And also £4.85 for a coke??? Beer nothing special for the price either

We’d seen how crowded the bars were getting in St Ives so decided to head away from the harbour very slightly. We saw from road level that there were tables free at The Upper Deck and were pleasantly surprised by the layout and drinks service....

We were looking for a place to have lunch and a drink. The Menu wasn't exciting but it was ok. Pizzas or wraps. ( This is Cornwall...we expect better.) Our order was taken and the drinks arrived fairly quickly but the food arrived 35 minutes...

Very pleasant spot and attentive staff. Felt like Spain on a warm day.

One of the few locations that also have a view. But only from certain tables and chairs. There is only a narrow area through which you can see the sea. You have to pay directly after ordering. The food we got came in cardboard boxes. You shouldn't expect decent crockery and cutlery here. So it's actually a take-away with places to sit. Unfortunately, my salad with crab meat probably had the peel in it, so I bit into something very hard several times. The Hot and Spicy pizza, on the other hand, was very tasty. But I think the prices are too high for cardboard box service. The service was attentive and friendly.

Don’t even bother coming here if you want some food. Both myself and my partner came here for some lunch and a drink. We both ordered a wrap, when they came the waiter just threw them on the table, no plates, no napkins just wrapped...

Location and setting gives this a 2 stars, service awful, bar chaotic full of empty glasses but could just about see our drinks amongst them for over 10 minutes, wine was hardly chilled, staff too busy messing about rather than looking after customers, tables not cleaned

Great place to have pre dinner drinks Staff are lovely. And views of the harbour are great! but unfortunately the Music was more suited to a club . Very loud most of the customers were of a certain age (not young ) found it difficult to just have a chat . Shame really as we would love to have stayed longer . Perhaps play loud music a little later when the younger generation stared to arrive. . But we’ll worth a visit.

Great place for a drink - nice views and when the sun is out, it’s perfect. Shielded from the wind with the glass panelling makes it ideal in the evenings. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice bar when visiting St Ives.

Disappointed in cleanliness in general. Young staff which needed a little help and support . Music too loud. I know that you have a shortage of staff but quality is better than quantity, even tho you need cash with it being a business. Very dissapointed...

Not my favourite place to go for a drink in St Ives. Overpriced and a bit grubby if I'm honest. Felt like organised chaos. Tables were minging and staff seemed to be only interested in serving younger couples. First occasion we went, we left as no one took our order. Needs a good shake up.

On such a hot day it was bliss to find a shady terrace bar with a nice view. Service was speedy and efficient. No food except crisps and pizza. St Ives was heaving with people but the terrace was busy without being too crowded which was nice.

Called for a quick thirst quencher as it has an open balcony / terrace. Left 6 drinks later, as once the sun shone through, no better place to be. Staff were excellent enforcing their Covid rules.

Rude service from the waiter today, tone of voice and abruptness was disappointing. We left before we even got a table for this reason

The attitude of the staff was shocking and they should realise that not every single person has a mobile with the capabilities to download the track and trace app. We had been in 4 days before and were allowed to check in as a couple...

Refused entry to this bar today as one of us do not have the NHS app and the guy wouldn't take his details. Problem with this is we don't all have internet on our phones, we also don't all have phones that have apps. My other issue is we are all on holiday here and sometimes we just don't want to carry our phones with us, but I presume you do not need my money so I will stay away. I do not recall Boris every say anything about you have to have the app, there are thousands of people out there that do not own a mobile phone. Lets hope you do not turn to many people away otherwise you could go bust!

Great spot in St Ives. Awesome location with great service and good staff. In a very busy town it was a nice oasis of calm. Price was also very reasonable.

After booking in at 27 Piazza and been so let down , we had to get out and this is where we spent most of our time, chilling and enjoying the view, the staff here are fantastic, so welcoming and happy, they made our stay in St Ives memorable . Keep up the good work guys.

Quite happy to take our money 1 day when we both checked into covid track and trace. I left my phone in hotel room the next day to charge but was refused entrance even though my husband had his and we both live in same house! Shows a lack of understanding as to why you use the app in first place. No pen and paper track system in place so heaven forbid if you don't own a phone and call in. If it means that much to the management get that set up as refusal can't be good for business.

We decided to visit this bar on a sunny day and sat enjoying the view. We were served quickly and that’s where it all went wrong. Our drinks arrived we ordered sangria and beer. They arrived and both tasted like they contained water. They were incredibly light in colour. We complained and we told we got what we ordered and they did not seem to care. They had taken our money as you pay before hand. We were due to eat but choose not too as we did not wish to subject ourself so to ordeal of a second drink. Such as shame Be interesting to see if this is something they do for tourists? At least I would have expected them to try to recifiy the problem instead of our dismissive response insinuating it’s our problem and not there’s.

as a local i understand that working service in st ives is very hard and unforgiving, especially during these times. however, every other pub or bar i have been to have managed to deal with it with a smile and good service - including myself when i am at work. but there is one specific member of staff who seems to think he is Gods gift to earth, and when I joined my friends (less than 6 on one table) one member of staff said yes it was fine for me to join them. but then this absolutely awful human comes over swearing and shouting at me for sitting there with my friends ! I have been here before and he has been rude to me continuously; yes sometimes i can be a bit loud and excitable but there is no need to shout, swear, and patronise me. I cannot wait until bars and pubs can open inside because I will never ever be spending my hard earned - also working bar service in stives - wages again. get over yourself. my recommendation is go to any other pub and if they’re all busy go to coop get some wine and sit on a bench, still a better atmosphere and service. thanks :)

I'm giving the 2 starts because the staff were nice friendly people and the location is awesome. However they serve the WORST MOST RIP OFF PIZZA I have ever had the misfortune to have to eat. It really let down what could be a great business. They have silly QR codes glued to the table which apparently is the menu, it's an absolute fail guys.
