The Union Club in City of London, Westminster

Dined here as guests - very impressed - unpretentious and relaxed atmosphere - friendly staff - good menu. What more can anyone ask for.

We have been privileged to enjoy the warm hospitality of the Union club on many occasions this year. Whether for dinner, lunch or an event (we have held several there), the food has been uniformly excellent. The daily changing menu offers infinite variety but the staple dishes are equally welcome. The wine list is well chosen and offers good value house wines by the glass and carafe, as well as some special bottles. And they have Hofmeister helles lager, the best lager in the world! However, the award for the smiliest, friendliest most can-do staff in the world has to go to the Union club team, the service is unfailingly great, the most difficult thing to maintain and the best thing to be known for - a big thanks to you all and a very Happy Christmas!

We hired the Union club for a party to celebrate our wedding in November 2022. We researched several venues in and around central London and settled on the Union club as the recommendations and the clubs' reputation is very favourable. Having committed to the booking the whole experience with Peter and his team was easy, relaxed and stress-free. The interior of the club is splendid old world quirky, unique and full of character. It's an eclectic mix of rich colours with walls that are crammed with pictures that all contribute to providing a special essence. There is also an outdoor roof terrace and a cosy and intimate first-floor dining room which combine to provide different areas to relax and enjoy your event with ample room inside and out for the guests to enjoy a sit-down meal and dancing until the early hours on the ground floor. The food was spectacular and importantly the portions are ample for the formal lunch party all served by a team that is attentive and friendly. This is a venue that is perfect to enjoy your special occasions and celebrations with friends and family, it's not a place for a stag do or hen party.

I enquired with the union club via an online booking form, asking whether I could hire the private dining room for 13 of us to have dinner for a hen party. I was completely flabbergasted by the response I received (attached). It was extremely rude and unwarranted - we have had no prior conversation for them to think we are going to “fall out of a double decker bus, pissed and dressed like cage dancers”. Horrible experience really and very upsetting! Of course we would not ever think to book with the union club after this.

What a gem we went to a wedding in the union club on the 09/10/21. The food was fantastic the staff were really lovely and the way the club was decorated with all the paintings and photographs on the walls. I did like the personalised blue plaques on the walls it was a very nice thought remembering

Had lunch here with my old boss who joined as an alternative to other clubs in the area. And he made the right choice as this is old soho and exactly the sort of thing he and I both love. From the welcome to the decor it is perfect and then the fresh lovely food. The squid was perfection. If you want old school but done well in the 21st century then this is the place to join, or go with a member. Thanks for having us.

My Great Uncle is a member do we've visited a couple of times, but the Game Pie was so tasty this week that I thought I'd review it. Lemon pudding was also rather good 😊

I was a founder member and the team have always had good food here. There is wide and original choice of dishes on offer and neither I or my guests have ever been disappointed. Helpful and charming staff make it an excellent place where I can entertain with impunity.

The Union is a home from home - great atmosphere with ideal living room boho feel - Welsh rarebit always fab! great media /music indus haunt for your meetings with a excellent friendly team of staff who always make you feel at home even when you're at work!

Finding the right location for your wedding reception is never easy, but if you are looking for somewhere that is a bit different, but oozes charm and character, The Union is a must. From our first contact everyone at The Union couldn't have been more helpful and on the evening of the reception it was clear they had their organisation down to a fine art. The food, the drinks, the layout and the ambience of the venue just blew our guests away. It is not a glitzy place and I suppose could be described as shabby chic, but if you are looking for a venue that oozes charm, where the team look after you as if it was their own wedding and you want an intimate setting, this is the place for you. In a word it was a fantastic and we can't believe how lucky we were to find it. A special mention also to our DJ & MC Chris Anthony who provided the music set. He was brilliant and kept the dancefloor full all night. Highly professional and even more highly recommended. We wish we could do it all over again. Thank you Union Club

It's a 'members only' club - but an excellent place; food and hospitality are second to none - CHEERS !

Always enjoy visiting this wonderful venue. The food is amazing, service is perfect and the venue provides an awesome venue for meetings, lunch or just a beer on the terrace.

We've just had lunch in the comfortable and relaxing private members Union Club Greek St Soho. We had Cod for mains cooked deliciously and served with fennel tomatoes and home made chips followed by a lemon and blueberry tart tasty but a bit too crunchy for me. The wine a fruity crisp German Sauvignon Blanc complimented the dishes well, service was friendly and efficient. Would recommend if you can get an invite.

Qué edificio maravillosamente peculiar con sus paneles, muebles shabby chic ecléctica, quemadores de madera y arte por todas partes. Pero aún muy íntimo espacio para moverse y mezclarse.El personal era muy atento y nada era demasiado problema.Nos sirvieron comida estilo buffet, que era delicioso.

Visita con alguien que era un miembro para un rápido almuerzo de negocios.

El lanzamiento del libro se realizó en una habitación de 1 piso y resultó ser un lugar adecuado. Las paredes están llenas de dibujos y fotos (que eran un poco de distracción, aunque no desagradable, durante el debate). El vino y los aperitivos eran buenas, la mejora de la experiencia. Si puedes encontrar sistema de numeración (la calle es raro) merece la pena una visita! El personal es encantador.

Yo soy la suerte de trabajar para alguien en Soho con un afiliado a un sindicato, que con tanta frecuencia a visitar este peculiar club donde Gordon, Nick y el equipo son siempre tan encantador. Hemos tomado todo tipo de directores y artistas para reuniones aquí, y todos ellos disfrutan el ambiente relajado y siempre cambiantes colección de arte excéntrico Las bebidas y la comida son siempre óptimos. Siempre tenemos nuestra fiesta de Navidad aquí, que todos esperamos. Este es un rincón de un viejo Soho desapareciendo rápidamente que es una comunidad, y es atesorado.

Fue adoptado aquí para una cena de networking y debo decir que fue una experiencia preciosa. El menú era encantador y sencillo, el ambiente relajado y diferente. Tenía una fuente deliciosa carne fría para compartir y luego la tarta de salmón, que era absolutamente delicioso. Es un fantástico espacio y refugio en soho loca! Recomiendo encarecidamente! !

Literally the worst club I've ever been to in my 5 years of going out. Rude staff at the door, even worse bar staff that ignore you despite being the only people there and it is dead we were promised £5 entry and then had to pay £10 and literally lasted 5 mins before having to go. Not fun. Very rude. Not worth your time. DO NOT GO. whatever reviews say you should is rubbish, go to Phonox or the nest instead. Worst night ever.

No interfiere con los procedimientos cuando despejar un par de mesas para invitados amigos. Vasos vacíos discretamente reunidos consistentemente. Mesas dispuestas exactamente como solicitado. Apenas ha cambiado desde los años 60 este club privado de los miembros es un remanente de un Londres que está desapareciendo rápidamente. Went with two business contacts for lunch. The starter of trout with salad and sliced new potatoes was wonderful. But the roast loin of pork with celeriac and absolutely perfect cracking was even better. I thought things could not improve, but then my chocolate and cherry trifle arrived. I thought I had gone to heaven and died.If you know a member get them to take you!
