The staff is very friendly, service was great, and the place is gorgeous with the hanging flowers and everything. The only problem is that the kitchen seems unreliable. We went two days and the kitchen wasn’t open for either so we couldn’t get what sounded like delicious pies. So I’d say if you’re going for a drink (or a few), this is a great spot. If you’re hungry, though, maybe don’t rely on food here.

Classic British pub with a good selection of local brews. Exactly what we were looking for on the first day after a monster flight. Super friendly bartender who provided great advice on which beers to try. Didn't disappoint. Wild looking glasses - short and fat but definitely holds beer

Wonderful pub close to Hyde park. Loved the 7th step lager. Had loads of fun. Clean restrooms, great staff.

Barkeep was super helpful. It was a fairly quiet pub. It had lots of character. Dartboard in the back was a nice feature.

Very nice old traditional English pub. Cozy and warm atmosphere and great services. They have a few outside tables and one TV inside.

They do pies in a number of variations, but that's all when it comes to the food selection. Great tasting pie though - I had their moo&blue (beef and stilton). Limited outside seating available outside, on this quiet back street.

A really nice little boozer tucked away on a side street where no tourist will find it. At the time of my visit there were three ales available and staff were attentive, polite and efficient. There's a day board but there's so many tables in front of it, I doubt it gets much use. I confess I haven't tried the food.

I'll be back if they have Fuller's London Pride available. A nice bunch of staff and a good set of toilets.

I used it on a family trip. It's a very nice atmosphere. In particular, the female staff wearing glasses was very friendly and courteous! The pie was also delicious

I have only been here a few times before, and it was just OK. But I had 2 great visits this week, Wednesday for the footy, and Saturday morning, then again Saturday afternoon, for the rugby. All 3 were great, and I will be coming back soon.

For those moving in the area: music when then do works on Sunday morning 7/8am, closes at 11pm but sometimes people stay loud for more and worse, glass litter collection between 12.30-2am, so loud earplugs won’t be enough. There is nothing the pub or main landlord of the area can change about all that…

Just abused by female staff member for wanting 10+ shots and not being provided in shot glasses or not providing a way to take them to our pre booked space. Very inappropriate female staff member who swore at us for requesting a normal degree of service for spending that much money.

Fabulous pub, lost its way a little & now 5 star again after re-instating the Harvey's. A destination not to be missed by anyone interested in one of the finest ales in the UK.

The Carpenter's Arm was the perfect spot to take-it-easy after long travels. We ordered meat pies and mash and drinks. The meat pie was warm and hearty, exactly what you want on a cold, drizzly day. I enjoyed mine with a spicy ginger beer. We also appreciated the chill environment and friendly, helpful service.

We booked a private room for a hen party activity. We had the chippendale room upstairs and it was perfect for us. The staff were so friendly and helpful and we all ordered pie and mash when the activity was finished. Everyone loved it and we didn’t feel rushed at all.

We met up at Marble Arch and this is right nearby. Lovely little pub, clean with a friendly atmosphere. We only didn’t stay to eat as we fancied a Sunday roast.

My brother and I were looking for a place to watch the Barcelona soccer match, and I was lucky enough to find this pub online. I made the reservation, and the truth is that we loved visiting it! A local business, very pleasant atmosphere and charming service.

Incredible staff, always premier league, tasty press with gravy mash and press. Lots of tap beer, decent wine selection and great atmosphere. Carpenters Arms near Marble Arch, should not be missed. Lovely, fun pub with great staff some of whom I will miss as they prepare to move away. GM Scott does have a great way with people making sure each of the staff treat the customers like family. He just knows how to pick people. Wide variety of patrons and a good outdoor crowd enjoying fresh air year round whilst having a smoke of pipe or cigar or Marlboro!

Witnessed the bar staff trying to fight patrons who were simply trying to finish their drink. They were sat outside and were aggressively attacked by the bar staff. I’m sure there will be a response from the pub with some attempt to rationalise what happened, however we witnessed the guests being attacked without reason by the bar staff. Please do not visit this pub. We were scared by the staff, the poor people just trying to drink there.

Pint before going to frameless. Lovely staff. Good range of beers. Football on tv which was great. Accommodated rugby fans also. Old fashioned layout, great pub in this area.

Abbiamo dovuto aspettare circa 20 minuti che si liberasse un tavolo anche se il piano superiore credo fosse vuoto. Evidentemente avevano deciso di non utilizzarlo. Purtroppo il piatto che volevamo non era più disponibile e abbiamo dovuto ripiegare su ciò che c'era tra quelli del Sunday roast , e uno dei due era un piatto a base di verdure diversamente da ciò che sapevo. Comunque buono. Servizio veloce. Lo consiglio

Pub caratteristico con ottime birre. Se si passa in zona consiglio una sosta per provare una delle numerose birre proposte.

One of the great backstreet local pubs of London. The way Londons Pubs should be. Very much worth the visit for a quiet, relaxed, ale or two.

This is old school. A pub like pubs used to be. Lots of ales to choose from. I didn't eat as they actually don't do food except for three types of crisps. Nevertheless, I love the place. Highly recommended.

Always a great place when near Hyde park/Oxford Street area. Generally one of our favourite stops for group meetings. Friendly service and decent selection of beers. Not much of a kitchen but you can get stuff from around. Plenty of screens to see cricket or rugby or other sports. Love it.

Visited yesterday TWICE!! Once in the afternoon with my friend and then later in the night with a couple friends. Such a great pub, good beers and nice bar keeps. The atmosphere is great and we had a good time.

I walked in off the street for supper but they were unable to accommodate me due to the early hour. (That's on me.) However, the customer service was superbly demonstrated when they recommended a place further down the street that had an early menu. It worked out beautifully.I stopped back at the Carpenter's Arms to thank Naimf for her great referral and we chatted a bit about the local theater productions.The food combined with the friendliness may offer patrons a double treat!

I've been to loads of pubs over the years but The Carps really stands out. The staff are lovely – really friendly and attentive – and there's always a good atmosphere. The pub is set on a quiet road, so sitting/standing outside in summer is a real pleasure – you'd never think you were so close to Oxford Street and the Edgeware Road – and hanging flower baskets make it really attractive. The traditional interior is cosy in the winter. I haven't eaten there, so can't comment on food. I'm a cider drinker, so can only comment on that – I like their draft cider (Kingston Press).

Я обнаружил этот паб гуляя по центру города, когда вышел из метро Marble Arch. Понравилось всё и особенно то что есть столики на улице. В сентябре было тепло и посидеть, что называется, open air с пинтой прохладного эля - это истинное удовольствие. Пил любимый Guinness и ушёл счастливым!

He estado aquí muchas veces, pero no desde el cierre de COVID. Mi esposa y yo pasamos tres almuerzos muy agradables durante el fin de semana pasado. Este es, francamente, uno de los mejores pubs de Londres. El amable personal del bar conoce bien las cervezas que sirven. La gama de ales es comprensiblemente reducida en la actualidad, pero de muy alta calidad. El pub tiene televisión deportiva. Tiene un gran ambiente y atrae a un gran número de clientes habituales (y puedo ver por qué).Aunque se encuentra en un entorno urbano, tiene la sensación de un pub de pueblo.

Great atmosphere, the staff makes you feel right at home. Prices are fair and you get to taste a bit before buying.

What a charming pub. The outside of the pub is so welcoming and inviting. We were served quickly and predominantly and there was a vast array of drinks to choose from. Service was polite and friendly, and the pub itself had a warm feel about it. I didn't try the food as I had already made reservations elsewhere, but it smelt divine.
