A great place for a reasonably priced 'posh' lunch. Food was well presented, decent sized portions and very good indeed.

I reserved a table but it was almost empty on a Friday night at 18:30 so I need not have bothered. The surroundings were nice, both inside and outside and had the style you would expect for a bistro in France, however it lacked a bit of ambience because there were so few customers. Service was professional - very pro-active and keen to make sure we enjoyed our meal. The starters and mains both very good, especially the slow cooked pork belly. Wine a little bit pricey (£39 for a NZ sauvignon) but not unexpected, I've paid more elsewhere. One disappointment was the promised Burford Brown egg with the Morteau Sausage Salad - I only buy these eggs and there was no way that the poached egg served was a Burford Brown, theyolk was really pale rather a rich yellow so it was obviously just an ordinary egg (why promise something then not deliver?) A 12% gratuity was automatically added but to be honest I would have left more if it was left to my choice. I'll now look for others in the chain.

We loved Brasserie Blanc. The staff were very attentive. I am currently in a wheelchair and they were considerate and helpful. They made it clear that nothing was too much trouble and they were so friendly and good natured. We all really enjoyed our food. I'd certainly go back again next time I'm in that part of London.

Fabulous meal and service. This was a Virgin Experience menu booking, it was great food and not treated any different to other customers. We would definitely go back, also not far from the theatre and less busy, so worth the short walk! 😁

Brasserie Blanc in Chancery Lane is a wonderful little establishment giving a nod to the classic French brasserie. The service is an outstanding: friendly, professional and, importantly, knowledgeable about the food and wine. The ambience is relaxed and quiet with tasteful background music. The focus here is the enjoyment of their food and not a mad rush to turn your table. Highly recommended!

Second visit to Brasserie Blanc, fist time to Chancery Lane. The highest standards at both venues. Food, service and ambience were just what I wanted. And not really expensive - 3-course lunch for 4 people with pre-meal drinks, wines coffees and a couple of digestifs came to about £75 per head including service charge.

Really recommended!!! Did see some comments about the speed of service, and maybe it wouldn't have suited a swift bite to eat, but in return we had an excellent meal, good surroundings, with a wide choice, at a not so scary price. Thank you

The food was sublime and the service second to none. Between us we had cheese soufflé, pork cutlets, duck confit, pistachio soufflé and crème broulee. It was all cooked to perfection.

Super food and attentive service. Wonderful place for a leisurely lunch. Only downside is that the ladies is down some steep stairs.

Ok so started eating before the review as I was looking forward to the duck. It was exquisite. The service was superb. Such honesty about the menu and what not to have and a funny gentleman too. Had so many cocktails the blood orange Paloma was special. The soufflé 🤤🤤🤤

The place is comfortable, the food is delicious, the service is also friendly and professional. This place is easy to reach from Holborn station.

So I don’t want to give a negative review, as the food was nice and service was good, however it wasn’t as good as the Fulham Reach BB. The duck was a little tough and the soufflé a little under cooked. The decor is somewhat dingy in comparison. This said I would still recommend if you’re in the area.

Mixed bag of feelings - cheese soufflé was quite good and meet. Great variety of wines. What was a bitter ending - is apple crumble. C’mon its not crumble just a baked apples I made at home with a drop of “crumble on top”. With price of 9 pounds - it does not worth that. When I tried that and explained to the waiter - they do not even consider to discount/replace at all. Would not expect bad service from such place.

This Brasserie Blanc is wonderful. I've been here for lunch and for dinner a number of times now, mostly on work-related occasions and it has always been very good. The menu is typical brasserie fare, the service is very good, and it one of those places that offer a sense of occasion along with lovely food and good service. And it is very competitive round here, so you need to know what you're doing to thrive in these parts. It's often full, bookings often need to be made well in advance and it's a pity to miss the chance to go here.

I am never disappointed when using Brasserie Blanc. Mostly it is Chancery Lane as it is close to the office. The food is reliably excellent. The staff are particularly attentive. Our waitress knew the wines available and best match for our choice of dishes.

Lovely service and food. The steak was nothing special, but the lamb and escargot were wonderful.

We visited on a Tuesday and there was a lovely atmosphere - nice mix of customers and busy without feeling too noisy. The food was very good - escargots, moules, pork all cooked very nicely and it felt fresh. Great wine list and none of it overpriced. We liked it so much we returned with family two days later and it was also very good. Service a little slow on the second night and the waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed but perhaps she was new. Again, good value for money and reliable food. Would absolutely return.

My partner’s sea bass was cooked to perfection and the pistachio soufflé desert (with chocolate ice cream) delicious - so too the crème brûlée. However, the burger was quite ordinary. A pity as it does not take much to prepare a stand out burger! So I give 4 stars as the food, drinks and service were otherwise good.

We had a lovely evening, food was delicious and presented very well. We had a slight issue with the time delay on our mains but once we spoke to the team, the manager sorted it without fuss and gave us a generous discount. Service from the manager was second to none. We would definitely return.

Went for a lunch beginning of January. Pleasant staff, nice looking restaurant. We sat downstairs that had booths and felt warm and cosy. Food was served hot and tasty and if you get the email discount of 50% its amazing value. We should all be so grateful to people that work in hospitality, who make our lives a happier place. Showed up at 9pm, they said their kitchen was closed. Hours said they were open to 11pm. A true waste of a walk.

Cozy restaurant and delicious food

Went for a mid week lunch and was not disappointed. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.

We went for an early dinner after a walking tour in London. We were using up loyalty points from the Brasserie Blanc loyalty scheme that is about to close. The tube had problems. The battery on my phone died and my wife's phone had frozen so we ran from Chancery Lane tube, unable to let the know the restaurant we were going to be late. They were very nice and we soon relaxed over pre dinner drinks. Brassserie Blanc used to be Cote's upmarket sister. Cote, unfortunately, has gone downhill - leaving BB as the only Brasserie chain around. I'm not too sure how much food is cooked from scratch on the premises but the food is always good and the service reliable. The chain is now owned by a private equity company but let's hope that it at least tries to maintain the standards it had when Raymond Blanc was actively involved.

I’ve eaten here before and had no issues but sadly we had a pretty poor experience at our lunch. We informed the waitress we were on a tight deadline for lunch and ordered three main meals and a drink. It took over 20 minutes for the food to arrive, two of the three orders were incomplete (chips missing and bacon missed off the burger) and the drink never materialised. We were offered 10% off the bill but the service charge was left on which given the service was poor, seemed a bit odd! Hopefully just a one off bad day for the staff.

Out midweek with family on Wednesday (steak night), which is a lovely, good-value offer because one gets a free bottle of house plonk if 2 steaks are ordered. The venue is lovely, the wine delicious, and the atmosphere pleasant. The meal itself, however, was disappointing. 1 of the 3 steaks was chewy - either not a particularly good piece or poorly cooked... My meat was fine, but the Béarnaise sauce was insipid, and the whole dish badly under seasoned. The peppercorn sauce was also lacking. We all had to add salt and pepper. It's a fancy place but you'd expect a French restaurant to get flavour into the sauces. I will come back again - the anchovy appetizer is yummy - but not for a while. The rump steak at the Bountiful Cow in Holborn is stupendous, and Cote Brasserie is consistently good. The food does look good though, you have to say (pic attached).

Delish! Main course was to die for

My girlfriend and I went here for our last night in London before returning across the pond. We had scallops and a burrata for our starters, and shared a steak for 2 for the main. For dessert I had a pistachio soufflé with chocolate ice cream. After a bottle of wine and a lovely meal, which was provided with excellent and friendly service, we returned to our hotel, sad that we will have to wait until our next trip to London to return for another meal.

Enjoyable lunch with friends. Excellent service and nice vibe. Food and wine good and cost not outrageous for the area. Would go again. Would rate four and a half overall if I could.

The setting of this restaurant in the Holborn and Chancery Lane area is perfect for tourists and business-people alike. A beautiful wood-panelled interior with plentiful artwork creates a charming setting. The meal itself, like in other branches of this small chain was excellent. Beautifully cooked fish with delicious vegetables, followed by a fabulous array of desserts and excellent coffee, served by well-trained waiters, make for a supremely enjoyable meal out.

Fantastic food! The cheese soufflé is a particular favourite of mine. The interior is beautiful, the staff is friendly, and the range of vegetarian and vegan options is wide. The only downside is that this venue is not accessible for wheelchairs/people who have trouble climbing stairs.

We had a Virgin Voucher so we paid a great price for a 3 course meal and medium glass of wine, we had a set menu to choose from and sadly there wasn't anything on the mains that I would have really enjoyed (they were lovely sounding options, I can just be a little particular) but the waiter was amazing and let me change for another dish, which was delicious! Faultles really!! My only, minor, issue was the temperature of the blower when visiting the toilets; a hugely hot gust of air landed from above as soon as one left the restaurant area; happily, though, on return to restaurant, the blower was visible, so I was prepared. We both had cheese souffle as starters; I followed with rib eye pork, whilst wife went for Bass. We both had sticky treacle pudding for dessert; my wife largely liked hers, though found the 'blood orange marmalade' a touch too bitter. I on the other hand loved mine, other than being unable to eat the nougatine 'biscuit' it was topped with, due to my allergies!! Really enjoyed my 'Blood Orange Paloma', as well as my 'Salted Caramel Espresso Martini'; wife enjoyed her Sauv blanc, and her 'orange wine' with dessert. Atmosphere was far more intimate than at other Brasserie Blanc we've eaten at.

Good food. But not the best experience, my friend booked a table for 9pm. Staff was clearly upset to work this late, service was slow and very unfriendly (Moustache man you should try smiling sometimes or at least being polite). At the end they wouldn’t serve my friend a glass of wine because if was “too late” even though we were still waiting for the desserts to be served, (courtesy of the manager). They just shouldn’t take booking at 9pm. Thanks to the lady waitress who was polite and professional.

On the Chancery Lane, London, there is Brassiere Blanc. A quant establishment with an old-fashioned atmosphere. We had a fabulous birthday lunch in October 2022 enjoying a wonderful 3-course meal with wonderful service from the waiters. For starters we had pork pate with toast and a cheese souffle - delicious. For mains we had Duck leg with dauphinoise potatoes and free range beef-burger with French Fries. Finally for dessert we had sticky toffee pudding and pistachio souffle with chocolate gelato- very nice. Recommended. Our second visit was in February 2023 for a delightful three course lunch. For starters we had pork pate with toast and a cheese souffle - once again excellent. For mains we had Lamb Roulade with dauphinoise potatoes, Trout with brown prawns and free range beef-burger with French Fries. Finally for dessert we had sticky toffee pudding, apple/blackberry crumble with vanilla ice cream and pistachio souffle with chocolate gelato- a nice way to end.

Hugely disappointed. First impression was lacking from the miserable greeting at the door to being asked if we would like water 3 times by 3 individuals. Just take the glass away after the first no thank you ( absolute basic ) chose our wine which was by the glass and handled at the top of the glass. Table sat after us served food first which alerted the management team and rushed passed shouting I'm going to find out where your food was wasn't an issue until later when we didn't pay service charge because of the wait we were told " well that's how long it takes to cook 20 minutes" despite we waited 40. At least this explains the tough under seasoned lamb, venison sausage rubbery. Jus was bitter, unidentifiable lumps in the mash. Wouldn't return.

Good food, excellent service and often very crowded

The food was the finest I've ever eaten. Truly spectacular, and we've been to some nice restaurants. Tops the food of places like the Ivy. The service and vibe, however, lacked. First we were offered some water, great, but this turned out to be a £5 bottle of water which was not made clear. I understand, though, that this may be down to my ignorance and this could well be standard practice. Secondly our server seemed as if they were in a rush. At one point a lovely gentleman came over to ask us how we were and to offer us some nibbles as we mulled over the menu, but this is where the pleasantries ended. The server who attended us mostly throughout the evening was very hurried which was not what we were expecting. Our plates also seemed mistimed. Our starters arrived while we were still eating our nibbles. We only had bread and dips so it was not like we were being slow. It'd been nice to have 5 or so minutes in between the courses. Once we finished our starters the mains also came out far too quickly. It would've been far nicer to allow the starter to settle. Dessert, finally, was well timed. The ambience of the restaurant felt a little off. It was near empty (with maybe only 4 or 5 tables occupied throughout the evening) which was particularly strange since we attended on a Saturday night. The music was also a bit strange as it was popular British music whereas we would have expected a classical french note instead. Overall the food was spectacular but the service and ambience really let the side down. Pair the food with an experience such as that you'd get at The Ivy and it would simply be the best restaurant I could imagine.
