The Twyford Hotel in Mid Devon

Big shout out and thanks to the manger there tonight who helped solve a tricky payment issue involving a coupon and delivery. Thank you for your patience and we got there in the end ! X

A nice town centre pub, good for a couple of jars with the locals.

Went for a meal with my husband and his sister. Two of us ordered the gourmet sirloin steak. My sister in laws was a lot thicker than mine. Hers was ' chewy ' but I couldn't even cut mine with a serrated edge knife. It was inedible. I sent it back and reordered a lasagne with chips. Although it was OK the other two had eaten their meal so I had to eat mine alone. The staff refunded the difference although I feel in the circumstances it should have been free. I don't think I'd go again.

Unfortunately the Tiverton store was very poor, 1. At 12.00pm 75% of bakery goods still baking and on trolley waiting for packing, shelves quarter full. 2. Either they had no staff turn in or what , but the shelves needed filling. There where cages of boxes everywhere. 3. The cafe was madness, tables completely full of dirty plates etc. Uneaten breakfasts left, trolleys of trays waiting to be taken in for washing up, the hygiene standards where terrible, no cups, coffee machine empty, no milk, display all messing , I saw one 2 members of staff, again they must of been short staffed. I spoke to a manager and he bluntly told me morrisons have cut back on staff , so customers would have to accept it Unfortunately. The staff in the cafe were brilliant 👏 and very friendly and helpful, where happy to help in anyway, they really need praise for the work they do being under pressure, I will return because of the staff professional conduct... 5 stars for them , unfortunately 2 for management team there.

The muffin that we got was frozen and was as hard as a rock and the salad was just soggy and drenched when we tried to ring up and tell them they didn’t care at all
