Se detuvo para tomar un café después de un paseo por el canal. Precioso café sabroso, el personal muy razonable y amable. ¡La ventaja es que admite perros!

What a treasure of a place. In a beautiful position and was a glorious sunny, hot day too which definitely added to the experience but I will be going back in colder weather too. Food and drinks were delicious and the service was friendly, welcoming and happy. I am looking forward to visiting again

Lovely place to stop on the canal for tea, coffee, cake, ice cream, even a beer or prosecco. Outside only so opening is weather-dependent but well worth a visit. They take cash and card which I didn't realise, we had passed by many times for not having cash but now advertise that card is accepted. Very dog friendly and cakes are freshly made.

Absolutely awful service! My 8 month old daughter accidently dropped some banana on the grass beside the table, and we were shouted at by the owner - told that it's not his job to clean up after me, he's not running a pigsty and he's sick of people like me!! I actually ended up in tears as the owner was so rude and very aggressive, I think I was in shock, I've never been talked to so horribly! When my friend went up to pay and told him I hope your happy having a young mum in tears out there, his response was 'good'! I'm gutted as I used to love coming here and would have given 5 stars on previous visits, but it is not ok to treat people like this, it was an accident and any other cafe would have swept it up without issue. Horrible experience I would not recommend, particularly for anyone with children.

If you are walking or cycling on the canal between Leeds and Apperley Bridge this is your must visit cafe. The most welcome cup of tea,( cafetière and soft drinks also plentiful) and the largest slice of apple pie that even I and Labrador Noah could manage...and with pouring cream....It’s no exaggeration to say this energised us for the journey home....genuinely home made cakes, the scones so good I had to take a couple home, the very friendly man who owns this jewel welcomes all, including dogs. You must sit outside,in a lovely garden area,so the opening hours are weather dependant but in summer aims to be a 7 days a week establishment. Very popular, the cafe sits at the junction of an off shoot of the ring road and the bridge that leads to the river, close to the railway pub,it’s one of the many good things to experience on this part the canal. We would walk the canal just to visit here. Thankyou.

I’m from the village and this pub has changed hands multiple times over the last 5 years or so. No one has made it work and it still isn’t working. Saturday before Christmas with a party of friends with children, the menu was down to pizza and burgers (could be understandable if preparing for Christmas Day). BUT they ran out certain gins, got to the last barrel of Maretti and the place looked a mess. The bar was lifeless and not well kept, it looks like a pub is ready to follow the pattern and soon close (time will tell). I really want this village pub to work but fear it never will. If you’re reading this to make a choice, go to Cromwells or elsewhere until it’s fixed !
