The Tiger Inn in East Riding of Yorkshire

This was a poor experience. Granted, we had a nice welcome and the place initially looked clean and inviting. The drinks came and the garlic mushroom starter which were lovely, and at that point we thought we was on to a winner. However, the main was disgusting. Two of us ordered the same pie main, and yet the pies were completely different, one was square and one was rectangle! The mash was disgusting, I accept some lumps, but I don’t accept raw boulders of potato in it. The veg was microwaved to an inch of its life and was served drowning in water. The other main, steak and salad with all the trimmings, was I am sure, braising steak; it was like chewing an old boot. The onion rings that were meant to be on the plate didn’t make an appearance! The chips were like the steak only not as tough. We decided to give to puds a miss. Went to the loo before leaving, the gents were disgusting, most of the previous meals were left around the toilet bowl!! And it stunk. Finally went to pay and the card machine wasn’t plugged in or charged…after a while he got it going and asked me how much was the bill. I was honest and told him the correct amount, In hindsight I should of knocked some off! We won’t be returning but kudos to the young lad serving with the little ear studd, he was working hard, was pleasant and professional, I don’t think him alone will stop this ship from sinking!

We went here as a family as we were wanting to try out local businesses. We were pleased to see we could take our dog too. There is plenty of parking and an outside area kids can play. The menu is small and not a huge variety. The place looked clean and inviting. The bar chap was energetic and helpful. They didn’t have all the menu available which we only discovered when we ordered stuff and one meal wasn’t available. The fish and chips were decent as one party member had this. The portion was large and looked well cooked. However, two of us had the classic parmo and we both left it. One appeared overcooked and tough and one less cooked but still not nice. The chips were like rocks and dry. We overhear another party saying the same about the chips. We spoke to the chef who seemed rather disinterested in feedback and that the chicken was placed in a bag for our dog to eat and we had left the rest. We certainly wouldn’t return.

We had food here as a family of 5 the parmo was beautiful the chips were home made plenty on the plate the children had chicken what was really big and beautiful chicken breast again chips homemade on there's aswell service was brilliant fast and very clean definitely recommend and will 100% be returning

A returned visit after previous visit was really good, however tonight was shocking. Cold under cooked veg and sat in water, non of the meals were hot. You could tell nothing was made up fresh and all had been reheated and microwaved. Peas were not cooked thoroughly and sausages were gristle and one of us had to spit it out into a serviete mash tasted more like smash. Service was shocking only one very young waitress left alone who didn't seem to know what she qas doing (poor training not her fault) we only paid for one meal which I thought was more then fair given it had ruined our evening and all management could say was they weren't happy about it, however when I stated I'd taken photos soon then went on to apologise.... all round disappointment and mass improvement is needed, half the menue wasn't available when ordering either. Service was way to slow. Poor food poor service and will not return

Really warm welcome from the staff, even our dog was made a fuss of which was nice. We ordered bolognaise pizza with chips and tuna melt. The food was delicious, we got loads. The chips were so nice!!! Would definitely return.

Went for Sunday lunch having already contacted arranged booking and informed there were 4 meats with an extra £1 cost. All good so far. Turned up. Staff not very helpful, was told now only 2 meats available as ran out of the 3rd, no 4th available! Roast potatoes were burnt to a crisp so complained, informed no more potatoes and apparently they are soft inside. How was I supposed to get inside when my knife couldn't cut it. Shrivelled carrots. Had to ask for partial refund which we did but by god it was so disappointing.

Very disappointed . Nothing was served as stated on the menu, missing veg and salad and different sort of potatoes. Which would have been fine if we had been told of the changes. Just felt they didn’t want to be serving food that evening

We arrived at 14:40 just before the kitchen closed at 15:00. We received a warm welcome and were shown into the dining room/restaurant. I ordered steak pie and my husband ordered fish pie. There were no chips left only creamy mash, which I don't eat. The lady owner was fantastic and offered me extra vegetables. The young female was friendly and efficient. The food was hot, well presented, well made and excellent value for money. Would recommend

Had a Sunday Roast OMG it was massive but absolutely gorgeous The staff were lovely would definitely recommend it we have looked at the menu during the week and that looks amazing so we are definitely coming back

Beef sizzler was tasteless and swimming in grease, haddock full of bones and inedible. The “homemade” chips are actually bought in and a faulty batch was supplied resulting in half the chips being raw and the other being burnt, all this and an offer of 10% off the bill, no thank you! When asked how was your meal, the answer was obviously awful which was challenged by the manageress, if you don’t want to know the answer then please don’t ask the question!

Went for breakfast. Met by a nice enough young man who asked how we wanted our eggs, friend or scrambled and then asked for payment before we’d even sat down (maybe had a few walk-outs?). Food was poor quality, cheapest of everything, hot food sat sweating in bain Marie’s and looked like they’d been there hours. Dreadful taste to the hash browns. Instant coffee, warm milk and cheap bread. The standard of hygiene is poor. Dirty plates and cutlery. Serving utensils dirty from previous users and nowhere to put them once used apart from on the table. Would rather have less food and better quality rather than all you can eat. Cleanliness really needs to be improved too. Unfortunately we will not be returning.

terrible, undercooked hash browns just stacked on each other making them even soggier, instant coffee, cheap sausages, we would have rather not had the yoghurt and fruit choice, which we didnt and have a better coffee, better sausage, cheap bread too

Went for a meal just before my wife’s 60th Birthday. Outstanding food and lovely service from a small family business. Served by Eva and the chef was her mum. Absolutely wonderful We would highly recommend you should try it

Lovely value for money Sunday lunch between us we had pork, beef and turkey. All was wonderful with clean plates all round. Desserts were good too.

We’ll me and my partner do eat out a lot and we are so so happy as we have just moved to Beeford and thought because it’s my birthday we would go over to have a celebration meal. I had the chicken in creamy sauce and my partner had the homemade burger for me it’s the best chicken I’ve ever eaten. And my partner is a buyer kinda guy never picks anything else of the menu except burgers and he couldn’t stop complimenting it and gave it a solid 9/10 thank you guys you have very regular customers! As we live across the road!!!

What an absolutely fantastic meal, street food jam-packed full of flavor at a brilliant price. I don't have a single complaint; first meal out I have enjoyed this much in a long time. Would absolutely recommend, will be returning for some Sunday dinner soon! Thanks guys.

Called in toward end of Sunday lunch session, welcomed by a friendly barman and shown to a table, very nice surroundings all clean and comfortable with a relaxed atmosphere. We opted for the signature carvery plenty of choice and we opted for turkey. The meal came quickly and was without doubt one of the best Sunday Roasts I have ever had. The chef must be a genius producing a real home cooked meal with everything on the plate cooked to perfection. The Yorkshire pudding was the best I have tasted. Thanks for a great overall experience.

Amazing Sunday lunch huge portions and the food was all made from scratch highly recommend this place for Sunday dinner

We dinned here for the first time as a couple with our two children. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The service was good and the food was really tasty. Portions were plentiful. We will be returning.

The staff were so friendly, the service was fabulous and the portions were generous. We were looked after and had a lovely meal (with complimentary chapati to try). We were the first ones in the restaurant when we arrived, by the time we left, it was full - always a good sign. We will definitely return - thank you.

Visited with the family today to try the Tiger’s Sunday roast. Really good portions and excellent food. Thick slices of very tender roast beef. Lovely buttery mash a and all the trimmings. Well done Tiger team !

We first visited The Tiger about a month ago. We called without booking and were lucky enough to get a table. We had our dog with us and so were seated at the back away from other diners on an uncarpeted area which seems to be the criteria for dogs being allowed in. The staff were so nice and immediately brought a bowl of water for our dog. My wife is gluten intolerant but they accomadated her very well. Being a Sunday, it was traditional fare but there was about 5 meat options. The food was excellent and you felt the chef had gone the extra mile. About 2 weeks later we again visited The Tiger Inn for an after Christening Buffet. Again the food was excellent and there was lots of food to spare. I would recommend a visit to The Tiger, you will not be disappointed.
