Very pleasing and cosy. A proper pub.

Nice big pub staff member was very friendly shame the only beer they had was John Smith's smooth noi a good ale so had Guinness kept well £3.80.

They can never be arsed to fill pints to the top the pitchers aren’t 4 pints they’re 3.5 pints. cheap prices.

It's decent, but since they now have security at the door, it would be better if they accepted yoti digital ID at the door instead of the physical ID. It's the same level of proof just on my phone. And no, it's not just a photo, it's verified by a third party and uses an RFID chip in the passport to verify. Disappointed that they aren't adapting to modern times. Prices are alright. Minimum spend £5 for contactless. Music. You can use beebox to queue songs, but only from the limited lists.

Cheap. £5 card lower limit so have to buy 2 drinks at a time/do rounds. Nice outdoor area, loads of seating.

I Wouldn’t recommend this pub at all as the manger is very aggressive and have mannerless behaviour to their own security staff as she’s demanding that as a security officer we also need to pick up the empty jars of beer/alcohol from the tables which is used by the customers.

Massive back garden but full of students having a good time. 🙂 Very friendly staff.. Had to wait in a queue as the pub was very busy.. no seats.. Good atmosphere. Just had 1 drink. The toliets were small cubicles but wasnt too bad for cleaniness.. Car parking is very poor. Just a few spaces in a line in front of the pub. Be very careful where you park here during the week.. A large building site next door and no parking are allowed on the street due to the work being carried out. I had to park on the street but it was Saturday after 6 pm. The building site was closed for the weekend.

Wouldn’t recommend this pub at all. Uncalled for aggressive and violent staff. Have also witnessed the land lady being racially abusive to members of the public.

I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you are looking to have a nice evening, they have some really unfriendly and aggressive security who just make your whole visit extremely uncomfortable. I also have seen the land lady around a couple times who I witnessed being very rude and shouting at costumers. Not a pleasant experience.

The burger van in the car park is really good. Reasonably priced, tasty food, friendly staff. Food could have been a little hotter but the guy was on his own and he did a great job. 👍🏻

Nice pub, large outside area after renovation. (2021). Pool table, cob/chip van outside in busy hours.

Pub on the outskirts of Nottingham city. OK but no decent beers (plenty of lagers for those that like that kind of thing.)

Got kicked out for asking for tap water... Slightly odd considering that it's a legal obligation for anyone serving alcohol. When I asked for it initially, the manager got overly and strangely aggressive. Rose & Crown far better.

Western Boulevard One of the most beautiful roads in Nottingham, and it is part of the ring road that connects the Queen Medical Centre (QMC) and The City Hospital of the University of Nottingham, and the northwestern areas of Nottingham city and County.

Great little pub, nice atmosphere and cheap drinks so all in all great days to be had.

Brought drinks they claimed went to another table, checked with that table and they never came. Said they wouldn't give us our drinks because it was our responsibility to make sure the drinks went to the correct table. Scammed out of my money.

Great pub, great staff, always greeted well and served quick even if you sit outside. If you are looking for a real down to earth pub this should definitely be on your list.

The waitress was extremely rude every time she spoke to us. Accidentally ordered to the wrong table and she refused to give us our drink. Do not want to come back as i felt extremely disrespected.

good outdoor areas, however the indoor spaces feel outdated and worn, like they need a refresh. good prices for a Nottingham pub and friendly and informative staff.

It's expensive for a short range of ales. They sell mostly lagers at high prices. Avoid the place.

First my vape was stolen there...(not the bar's fault) Secondly a quite rude bar lady yelled at me about I.D. Even after i offered to go home and get it, even though I'm 29. A bit childish.

Great place. A bit quiet, but it is Tuesday. Very friendly staff. Cheap beer for a Londoner. Shame about the £5 min charge for a contactless payment. So, I had two beers!

Nothing especially wrong with this pub, just nothing exceptional - an average place for a pint. Sits beside a busy and mundane road. Prices are about average but it's lacking interior and location take away from this. However, lady at the bar has been very friendly more than once and so make sure to give this a visit despite its flaws.

No cask ales, although advertised outside, toilets were a disgrace, no coke or lemonade due to machine being broke, absolute shambles, avoid at all cost unless they get their act together

Reasonably priced pub, lots of students attend from nearby accommodation. Service is normally prompt. TVs will show football when it’s on. Also has a nice garden. Very busy sober the change of management, which has its ups and downs.

Absolutely wicked atmosphere on friday nights down there with DJ Gary B (my ode man, lol) plenty of students who practically create a concert audience singing along to the abudance of songs from everyone who takes part in the karaoke.. i would hugely recommend it here on a friday for anybody who fancies some tasty entertainment 😁 can't say anything about saturdays tbh.. i'm not sure what goes on, but friday's the night to get yourselves down for some genuine fun 😁👏🕺

A very relaxed atmosphere, the staff here are very friendly and helpful, the prices here are very affordable, there is also a little outdoor play area for kids with a nice area for adults to sit with there drinks outside too. Plus there is also a pool table and several televisions to watch sport on.

This used to be a great student pub that has been a favourite of my group of friends for over 2 years, but the new management appear to have employed a policy of aggression. A group of 4 of us bought 2 pints each over the course of a game of football. After the game, we ordered an Uber and decided to wait inside as it was raining. The manager took issue with this and told us to get out, claiming we hadn't bought any drinks at all and that there were "lots of patrons with nowhere to sit". The pub was rapidly emptying after the game and there was plenty of empty seating. When one of our group pointed out that we had bought drinks the manager jammed his finger on his chest and started shouting. We left with no fuss and stood in the rain for 10 minutes. The Rose and Crown is 2 minutes up the road and will provide far better service and atmosphere.

This used to be my favourite Lenton pub, but after the change in management I honestly cannot in good faith recommend it. Drinks have gone up in price, my seat was sticky (how hard is it to keep things clean??) and the staff were just staring at people while they sat down. For anyone looking to watch the football, the rose and crown up the road has much better screens and better seating.

Was a regular here for the past few years and wanted to see what it was like under new management, have to say I was absolutely appalled at the way my friends and I were treated! We were agressively told to leave once the match was over because we didnt have any drinks despite having bought multiple drinks throughout the night. We weren't even asked if we had bought any or even if we would like to stay and buy another, they immediately got agressive in the way they spoke to us. I'm truly shocked as this place was a favourite of mine but the new management's disgusting behaviour has put me off ever going again!

Bought 6 drinks between us whilst the game was on, ordered an uber and went back in to wait whilst it was raining outside. Got asked to leave in a very aggressive manner because we weren’t drinking anything because “there were other patrons waiting to sit down” without a hint of irony whilst standing in a corner of the pub populated by just us, and one other man sitting on his own with spare seats all around us. Not even the option to buy another pint was offered they immediately asked us to leave and wait for our uber in the rain. The old bald man even started yelling and causing a scene with one of my friends for “eyeballing him up” apparently he does not realise that it’s just polite to look at someone whilst talking to them. It’s a shame because we used to come under the old management a lot and wanted to come back for the nostalgia, but instead had quite an awful time. If you want a nicer place just go to the Rose and Crown down the street.

Funny how the bad reviews are also on our sister pubs page. All a load of lies hope you got paid well. Everyone is welcome and we do our best to keep all customers happy if the beer made you ill it's probably because your system is more used to badly kept cellars and a fresh clean pint would upset you. Tap water is freely available although we reserve the right to charge for use of glass and staff time unless you are pregnant or need it for medication, it's a little unfair to expect to enjoy all the facilities and not buy even a half pint.

Was advised on arrival that there was no tap water to consume. Not only is this illegal, but makes you wonder what they wash their glasses in if their water is not sanitary. Staff were rude and the pub was grimy all round.

Terrible pub. Dirty place, rude staff and gross drinks. Whole house of 5 became sick after one drink here - clearly contaminated glasses or off beer.

I love this pub it's tucked put of the way but it's got everything you want .tv for sports fans pool table dart board beer garden and most importantly reasonably priced drinks .it's deceiving from the outside and quite large thanks to an extension on the back .
