Food, Guinness, and staff were absolutely stunning! I didn't catch the barmans name, but he was a gem, really friendly and so kind. In an unfamiliar town away for work, I find a warm reception so essential and that's 100% what I got here 😊 thanks to the team, and even the punters, for making me feel welcome away from home. It would even be worth making the five hour trip to come back ✌🏼

The Three Tuns is a mixed bag. The look and the decor inside is very nice. And the atmosphere the night I went in, when an open mic night was occurring, very good. The one thing that ruined my experience was the manner in which I was served at the bar. A blonde lady, possible called Beryl, or Sharon, or Irene, gave me a look as if to say, WHAT DO YOU WANT ? No greeting, no Yes please, not even a What can I get cha mush ! ? Nowt. Nunk. Not a sausage ! Just a look in my direction and a miserable face. Then when she'd poured my drink she said £2.70. No please and not a thank you when handing me my change ? It's probably only a very small thing, and perhaps would not matter to a lot of people, but I feel manners cost nothing. And in a job where you are serving the public, a cheerful demeanor is an asset. When I worked in retail, many decades ago, my customer service skills were top notch and unparalleled. 😯🙄😁Customer's would ask where I was, if it were my day off or having my lunch break. I was a credit to the small business emporium, and a jewel in the crown of The British Empire and all her colonies ! !! ?? 🤨🧐😯🤔😁🤣🤣😂 It definitely wasn't me that started the fire. 😯🤔😐 Billy Joel can testify to that. 👍

We went here on good Friday and had such a lovely night, everythng was great! The menu has so many options, the food was fantastic, and the service was perfect! All the servers were so happy and polite. I'm sorry I didn't get the name of our waiter, he was young with blondish hair. But he was really helpful. Prior to our visit we were saying how eating out is not really worth it anymore, (expensive not usually that good of food or service) but this place absolutely proved us wrong. We have already booked to go back for the next birthday in July 😁 absolutely recommend this place!

AVOID THIS PLACE I may have to give an award to this place for potentially being the biggest dump in the UK The manager "moz", which is an awful name by the way, is useless & arrogant as well as being constantly drunk while running the business into the ground. He needs to seriously sort himself out. Beer that tastes like water, staff with the personality of a brick wall - it's a miracle the place is still running to be honest.

We popped in on Saturday lunch time, we had a meal there a few months ago we enjoyed it and we happened to be in the area again so we decided to try it again. We really enjoyed our meals again, my wife had lamb chops from the specials board and the chef did her gravy without mint as requested. I had the burger I asked for it without slaw and cheese it came as I requested it, I was pleasantly surprised because this doesn't normally happen. The service was great and the prices were reasonable. I would recommend The Three Tuns, Sutton Coldfield.

This pub has a good vibe and would be good to have a drink in. The interior is really nice and bright. The food was really nice and good prices. The mini smoking area was nice and has a cute touch. But this pub seems like the type to more-so drink in. The men’s toilet was gross, with fluids on the floor everywhere and one tap broken, hanging out. No locks on the toilet doors and toilet roll was soaked. Not nice or clean. Service at the bar was a bit slow. Menu’s also came out different from what is advertised on their website. Some menu’s came out with one page and another with 6 pages. Overall, definitely a place more-so to drink, listen to music and watch the sports. For drinking it’s perfect, for eating with a family not so much.

The Three Tuns. Always going to be a difficult one for me to review but I have to say this was the best time I had in this pub in over 20 years. The ale was spot on, the service was friendly and efficient, The pub attracts a good mix of customers and on the night we visited had an excellent live band with a singer who was able to give plenty of good banter. What a great institution the British pub is ! The Three Tuns represents a “Local” at its best. Great cask ales, friendly locals, and a relaxing atmosphere. The bar staff are always welcoming and after only a few visits will be treating you as a friend. The food is pub grub at its best (plus some surprises) and is reasonably priced. Landlord Jack arranges weekend nights of live music with some of the best Midland’s bands and some great local musicians play on “open mic” nights. The history and architecture of this historic coaching inn is impressive, but, most of all, it is the best pub in Sutton Coldfield.

It's been a while since I have been in here. One of my favourite haunts when I lived in the locality. Paul was a great manager and I'm sure he is missed. Toni, the lovely female bartender is still here and possesses her wonderful smile. The ales I used to enjoy here are to be no longer available (Wainwright's & Lancaster Bomber) so I opted for a similar one to the Bomber - Amber. Not too much of an amber colour, but great taste. Still a good crowd in here, but alas, not the same without the live music. Always a pleasure!

Stopped in here for dinner, with my wife and daughter, on a Sunday evening around 7:30. We easily found a table and ordered our meals at the bar. I got the fish and chips, my wife had the steak and ale pie and my daughter got the English breakfast. My wife really enjoyed the steak and ale pie and was pleasantly surprised to see that it came with a side of peas and carrots. My order of fish and chips came with a starch and a green. I chose chips and the vegetables. I also got peas and carrots plus some Brussels sprouts. I was disappointed that all of my food was not as hot as I would have liked when it arrived at the table. My daughter enjoyed her English breakfast. The prices were very reasonable. We would definitely return in the future.

Built in the 1500's and now owned by Thwaites, it is still a traditional pub, comprising just 3 small rooms, and a covered passageway. They sell 4 Real Ales, and unusually 6 keg lagers. it is recommended by CAMRA. It has several TV screens showing Sky Sports, plus also free WiFi. There is live music of an evening, and it is also possible to book a "guest Musician" spot. I went there with my brother on a Monday lunchtime, there were very few people at that time. I haven't been in the Tuns since I watched the Rugby World Cup final in 2003 with a bunch of friends. There have been some dramatic changes since then, but all seem to the good. I found it very comfortable and nice and clean, my brother and me had a good laugh reminiscing about how we used to hang out there in the '60's. The guy behind the bar (possibly the landlord) was very friendly and took our orders with the minimum of fuss. I had scampi and chips, my brother the chilli. I was impressed by my chips, they looked hand cut and were nice and thick and the scampi were crisp, firm and piping hot. My brother enjoyed the chilli and really liked the sour cream dip. My only gripe is that his sour cream came in a pot, whereas the tartare sauce I wanted came in sachets. After our food we had a wander around looking at the photo's of Sutton of old. We're old enough to remember some of them, particularly the original parade. Before we left we both used the toilet and the mens at least was very clean. I can't comment on the ladies obviously. Based on our visit I'd be happy to recommend this pub to anyone. It has a fascinating history and you can read about it on the pubs website. It's the wrong end of Sutton for me, but if I'm ever up that end I'll make a point of popping in, even if it's only for a pint

The food was great, especially for the price. I don't know if the food is produced from the raw ingredients on site but it certainly looks and tastes like it is. All too often pub food is deep frozen/deep fried or bought in from a food service wholesaler and simply reheated, which leads to a blandness of taste. This was genuinely good and I'd definitely eat here again.

Just say The Tuns and you will be directed to the top of the hill past the mini round a boat. Friendly, at times boisterous watering hole, in three rooms with a central standing place, once an archway to stables at the back. Good ales gets crowded, but fast service. Sports TV usually on and match fixtures board outside. There is a pool table early doors. Decent food and drinks with friends. I can recommend the prawn starter and chicken burger with chunky chips main.

Another great evening at the stag, lovely food, cheap drinks and nothing's too much trouble for the staff! Perfect place for when you're on a budget.

The only thing is that I think the prices are little too high, but having said that it is a good standard.
