The Green House Sutton Coldfield in Birmingham

We came to the Green House for the first time last week and received excellent service. The food was delicious (particularly the lemon tart!) and staff were extremely efficient and friendly - many thanks to Shawn, who was especially helpful, nothing was too much bother for him. Would highly recommend! :)

We will absolutely be re visiting this beautiful place. We had lunch in a dome today in the snow and it was magical. The heater was on, we had lights and a portable speaker inside for music. We felt like we were in the Alps. A vert special experience and amazing food.

First time at The Green House - 17th November....booked for intimate 45th Anniversary Meal with family and friends. The staff were excellent went above and beyond to make to make my parents feel special. Nothing was too much trouble. The decor was lovely , atmosphere wonderful and truly appreciated every member of staffs efforts. The Manager - ASH .....and ELLIE truly appreciated the kindness and attention to detail. Food was beautiful THANK YOU chef's. Would definitely recommend. Truly beautiful afternoon/evening. Will definitely return. See you soon.

A wide and varied menu selection that included some delicious and delightful combinations of tastes and textures. First class service throughout, especially by Elle who was very customer aware and when pressure of work allowed, pleasantly interpersonal.

A wonderful meal with superb service. Made even more magical by dining in the outside “ bubble”.

Everything was perfect. The chef's passion for his dishes and genuine care for his customers elevated the experience to something truly memorable.

Spur of the moment booking for Sunday lunch didn't disappoint it was loverly. The star of the day was Shawn our server. He was attentive, friendly and very professional and gave fab recommendation for pud, lemon tart which was spot on. Can't wait to visit again

Great service and excellent food

The green house was very accommodating for our group of 16. They was very well organised and all staff was lovely. But wanted to say big thankyou to Sean who had great hospitality, he was so lovely and friendly and was really helpful rewriting out my preorder for me and setting up loads of different tabs for our group.

Really lovely staff. Served by Bryon a few times at the bar and he is always a friendly face. Wish there was better seating out the front. More privacy from the car park. Would suggest some greenery or fences to separate the two.

Enjoyed the pod experience on the weekend - perfect space for catching up and having a few drinks. Pods are cosy, we played our own music too. Would definitely use again ❤️

Really friendly staff, very welcoming.

The dome was such a lovely experience in the rain but kept nice and toasty. The staff were attentive and ready to take our order so we didn’t need to go in and out

Very good, if you like M/R steak, order medium. Beaverton beer is very refreshing!

My first visit to the Greenhouse and my last we went to commerate a special event. It took at least 10mins to be attend to although we'd prebooked. At least three members of staff came across to us but it took the 3rd to check the booking. Bearing in mind that we are in our eighties and use walking sticks. The service was slow and none exsistant at times. Food could have been hotter , beef was tough, and value for money it was not. Far too highly priced for what we received and bad service

Had really amazing time out at the green house we had booked the domes out front and the atmosphere in the domes was really great as we had our own speaker which was given to us. Definitely going to book again

I opted for fish and chips, which was a sizeable and tasty portion. Cheese and biscuits to follow provided a delightful combination of textures and tastes. Service throughout by Maddie was excellent. As well as being mindful of customer needs she was delightfully personable and communicative. A great ambassador for your restaurant.

We have just been in the dome! The most amazing experience, unreal service and the privacy but also getting atmosphere is perfect.

The Dome was AMAZING!!!! So cute and service was incredible. Speaker and heater included, plus table service.

What can anyone say about a pub that sells food and has disgusting fowl overflowing smelling toilets that are more akin to a third world country than a modern English public house sad …sack the manager immediately….. Is my call thankfully I only purchased half a Guinness …oh visited for a second time 30th Oct aee see at 18.49 toilet still not acceptable urine all around the urinalysis floor ..main pub has a distinct stale smell …good new thou the Guinness is still drinkable ….advice avoid

bit pricey for samey food small plate portions small missing elements from the food ie no croutons in the panzanela salad And as you walk in the place smelt of fish

Went here for the first time to meet a friend. Not bad overall. Had a chicken burger, and the service was good, friendly bar staff.

It's a great venue that is in desperate need of a face-lift. The food was delicious and the staff are accommodating. Good value, these days! Got to say up there with the best fish n chips we have ever had anywhere. Nuf sed.

I occasionally go there as it's near our house. Today, We went after dinner to have some drink and dessert. The waitress who served us was very kind, and we had a lovely time. Both the dessert and the drinks were delicious.

We Had Our Intimate Wedding Reception Here on the 7/9/24 and Everything was Perfect They Set Out The Room Exactly How We Wanted It The Night Before, So It was Made Easier For The Lady Who Was Decorating The Room For Us. We Had The Celebration Set Menu and We Well Recommend it, It Was Absolutely Beautiful Thankyou For Making Our Wedding Day a Special Day to Remember

Was greeted by Dan on the door , very welcoming and friendly. Showed us to our table, asked how we was and if we were happy with the table. He was so nice and was able to answer questions we asked about the menu. He even recommended a few dishes for us. Dan also took our order and delivered our wine in a lovely ice bucket. The service we were given by Dan was 10/10 and we will definitely be returning. Thanks again Dan !!

Had an impromptu visit with my girlfriends for lunch in the Sun, great afternoon, sun great, food dwlicious, drinks awesome.... Dan gave us fantastic service, he was an absolute delight, it makes your day with excellent service We will be back.

He remembered us from previous visits and made us feel really valued and welcomed. We had the bottomless bubbles which was great value with good food choices and excellent service. One of our local go-to pubs. Really like it. Almost 5 stars but sometimes understaffed - it does massively fluctuate between too busy and too quiet. But food and drinks are great, and I keep going back for many many years.

Been here a couple of times and never disappointed, was served by Maza who looked after us great evening would recommend also had a singer in the bar area which added to the experience, will be coming back soon

The food was delicious & well worth the prices. We ate in a mid-size group & felt well served. There was a significant mistake with one dessert which is why it's 4/5 stars but this isn't the focus of the review. The waiter, Jackson, is. Jackson was patient, considerate & accommodating of the large group & 2 young children with colouring utensils. They appropriately checked on how were doing & made us feel welcomed. Jackson gets 5/5 stars for service & they are a credit to Greenhouse.

Our server (lady with shortish hair) was amazing. Very attentive, funny & kind! The food was also nice, but the male manager with a dark beard behind the bar was very rude. there was absolutely no need for him to raise his voice at us in an extremely frustrated, agitated way when asking for our table number even if there was a band playing. When we added an extra pint onto our order he rolled his eyes. He showed absolutely no hospitality skills & made us feel like we were an inconvenience to his day.

Maddie is a great worker with a smile on her face constantly! She makes coming here a joy. Love that it’s dog friendly too!!

Stopped off for a coffee but it was pretty tasteless. Wish these places would spend a bit more on decent coffee beans and not compromise on the amount used to make a good coffee.

Absolutely top draw, BRI. As my favourite Lamb Naga wasn't on the menu, I asked the waiter if they had an equivalent. He recommended their 'Home Made Lamb', and it was superb. Brilliant service, amazing value for money, highly, highly recommended.

Had Bottomless Bubbles and it was a great experience. Good range in drinks and food. Definitely recommend for a girls day. Staff were very friendly and Maddie, our waitress, was amazing!

Great experience this evening, we went into watch the football and the manager directed us to a table despite the bar being busy. What was nice was that we had 2 children with us and the atmosphere was perfect with groups sitting down and watching the match with no groups standing and shouting. The staff were constantly keeping an eye on the tables which meant I didn't have to go to the bar and would often only have to nod and a new drink would arrive. Food was great and it was nice to see our children acknowledged by all the staff. Great evening, great service and we are all going back soon.

The Greenhouse in Sutton Coldfield, although it was a very nice place to eat, it was also very expensive. The reason we have given it 3 is because, even thou the food was very nice and the staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. The food was worth the price that they charged

Well what can I say this was my first time visiting here and I wasn't disappointed at all, had a family meal the atmosphere was great the ambience was good also. The welcome was very warm and welcoming and the server was so good, he was efficient knowledgeable and professional throughout. I would highly recommend this place if you have not tried it yet.

Ok. So lets just get this out. I normally review pubs with great ale. So to be fair they only had one and it wasn't on sale. That said the pub is nice enough, definitely geared up for food than drinking. I had a very good steakwich with fries. Plenty of it maybe £15 is a little much for lunchtime. However the 2 course and 3 course deals do offer good value. The service was efficient, friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. The pub itself is looking tired around the edges and perhaps would benefit from a little TLC. My coffee was freshly brewed and spot on (in the absence of ale). Would I go again? For the food- absolutely. But not for a beer.

Incredible as usual, my wife’s favourite Friday night away from the kids. The food is always on point, Steve and his staff are forever looking after us and tonight we had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful Lavinia, she looked after us from start to finish and was full of compliments. I’d recommend this place to anyone. 10/10

Whether the place is full or not this pub has a welcoming feel about it. The staff are, without exception, superb, friendly, accommodating and efficient. The food, whilst not particularly cheap, is of a very high standard and presented delightfully.

Lavinia was amazing, she was very attentive and was very warm and welcoming. Food was lovely too will definitely be coming again.

Booked table for 4 with my family on Sunday 12th May 2024.On arrival at the car park there were group of young man and and women sitting outside chanting and singing football songs loudly. We went in and were seated on the table, only to be told there was no fish and no lamb left. So we ordered the starters and the meal meal. All the starters and the food was bland and tasteless. The price came to over £200 for 4 which i think was very expensive. Throughout our the meal the group of young man kept up with their singing and shouting, Which was very loud and uncomfortable it felt like being at a football match. I called to Green House on 15th May 2024 and spoke to the manager (Ash) to complain He said he was the duty manager that night . He said the group were told to be quiet and were stopped from buying any more drinks but they refused to leave and carried on with singing loudly. He explained since the group were not aggressive or causing problems police could not be called . I totally disagree if the group refused to leave police could have been called to remove them from the premises. So everyone could eat their meal peace. The managers response was sorry cant do anymore. The green house is off our list and will not be returning back there again.

Brilliant service from Sean whenever we come. Everyone is so friendly and outgoing and at hand to help. Drinks are lovely and always top quality.

My nieces friends booked here for a surprise baby shower for her. They were able to put some decorations up as we were in a little alcove.. The service was great, Dillon, the waiter/barman was very patient with us, the food was really good. I had the sea bass..really nice. Well worth a visit, little expensive but worth every penny. Smells of fish when you walk in, and the smell pervades. Pretty nice food but constantly getting a smack of fish in my nose really didn't do dinner any favours. I'll not be returning.

Really interesting how a chain pub can be so different to one not too far away, the Plough and Harrow in Aldridge Road, where the food is excellent! Waiting staff were doing their best but the kitchen staff were having a seriously bad day. Chips cold, replacement ones were hot but undercooked. Chicken burger was cremated. Chocolate bombs had freezing cold sauce to pour over which obviously didn’t melt the chocolate bombs. Please take your staff to go and check out the Plough and Harrow and see how it should be done. 50% reduction on mains for inconvenience was appreciated.

I come in here often for a casual drink and I'm always served with the warmest smile from Shawn ☺️. Great service and return for it time and time again. Lunch menu is fantastic 😋 👌

My partner and I came here to celebrate her birthday recently. The food, drinks and service were very good! The menu was quite extensive with plenty of choice available. The service was very good and not overly intrusive at all. Good selection of drinks behind the bar, including real ales. This wasn't pub food, this was restaurant standard food and service. The table were layed out well with plenty of room between them, so you don't feel on top of each other. We would definitely recommend this place in an area that's buzzing with plenty of eating places.

The Green House isn’t just our local, with the exception of the nearby *rhymes with loons*, it’s the best priced pint in Mere Green/Four Oaks. I kid you not. As if that’s not enough incentive, the staff are attentive and happy to see you and the overall aesthetic is pleasing.

We’ve been drinking in the Green House for 46yrs and it’s still the cheapest place in Four Oaks for a pint of Carling. All of the staff are lovely and treat us well; Byron and Leanne are always so kind and attentive. Keep up the good work!

What a great place. The staff are all so friendly and nothing is too much trouble, they all deserve a big thank you, but I do have to give a specific mention to Leanne and Ash. The beer is very well priced for both the area and the standard of the pub - which is great as this is one of the closest pubs to us. Too many pubs are charging ridiculous amounts for the same drinks. We have no reason to go anywhere else!
