Amazing food, first class service

Even though the entire restaurant had been booked out for a wake. We were served quickly and seated without any problems. The staff are always welcoming, and the venue is really well maintained. Recommend.

We come here regularly for family gatherings and it’s always a win. Food is great, menu is interesting, staff are really friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere is usually cosy even on a less busy day. There’s a side room we often book for a more intimate meal. Also appreciate the fact there are actually hooks to hang your coats while you eat - small but important detail that makes the difference between a quality and ‘just fine’ experience.

Me and my grandmother had a lovely experience at the greenhouse. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the serving staff were so nice which really created a comfortable dining experience. The bartender Byron was incredibly polite and nice to my grandmother, he really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I would highly reccomend visiting the greenhouse !

Had a super relaxed evening at the greenhouse, a lovely meal and we both had the ribeye steak cooked to our liking. Served by Lavinia and nothing was too much trouble.

Christmas was rammed and not enough staff In their defense, how were they to know how busy it would be? But queueing at the bar was crazy. A great time though, prices weren't extortionate and atmosphere was fab

Waited at the rear door to be seated. A woman eventually came over and said she would seat us shortly. She walked off and never returned ! A few minutes passed and a gentleman came to greet us , confirm our booking and show us to our table. We were escorted to our table but upon arrival it had not been cleared. We were kept standing in the middle of the restaurant waiting while the table was cleared and set. The food was ok ish but the service was terribly slow. Two and half hours for three courses and long waits for drinks. The bill came (£170 for two) and my booking deposit had not been deducted. The decor shown in the pics on here is nothing like the decor now, it’s drab and in dire need of an upgrade. This used to a nice place to eat/drink but has let food/service/decor decline. It’s local to me but I won’t be eating here again.

New Year's eve eve, perfect, wine and dine experience. 3 course meal for 2 including a very nice bottle of wine which was £42 in itself, scallops and calamari to start, sirloin steak and sea bass mains and 2 cocktails after all for 100 quid. Super

We love the Greenhouse and had not been for a while. So when we arranged to meet friends there for Sunday lunch we hoped it was still as good. Came in for Boxing Day drinks. Surrounded by rude, loud and obnoxious men who seem to own the pub. No care for any of the other customers. Even the staff are fed up. Whoever manages this place needs to step up. This is, by your own admission, a premium pub. In real life? It is absolutely not.

Really enjoyed our Christmas Day Lunch at The Green House with my Father just the two of us. I was thrilled with the lovely window table the warm and festive friendly service and atmosphere and the Christmas meal was delicious and full of flavour with every course. Thank you very much.

I organised a Christmas Business Lunch for over 30 people this December. The service from first visiting the The Greenhouse to book the tables to the service on the day of the lunch and throughout was excellent. Particular mention goes to Leanne who oversaw everything. She could not have been more helpful.

A group of us had a lovely meal in one of the domes at The Greenhouse on Saturday. It was a lovely experience the staff were all very nice Leeane was very welcoming. The dome was very warm and they provided extra blankets if we needed them. The food was very good too. I would definitely recommend it. Xx

Not sure what has happened to the usual staff and high standards of customer service, nor the food, but tonight was sadly just awful and I don't think as regular diners we'll be visiting again. The welcome on a cold wet night was lukewarm. We ordered drinks and food. The waitress came back and said they didn't have any of the wine left so my husband ordered something else. They didn't have the Sea bass mains we ordered, so we opted for roast, only to be told they only had chicken or pork left. My drink arrived incorrectly as a fever tree mixer NOT a Fentimans ginger beer. I was told that was all they had now, but when we remonstrated, the waitress managed to produce the correct drink. We ordered pork and a chicken burger substitute for the sea bass. The starters took a good while and portions have shrunk, just 1 thin piece of foccacia to put the pate on. Mains took ages. roast arrived, the plate was full of veg bur only small pieces of quite fatty pork. My burger arrived burnt one end and coating uncooked at the other. It went back. No real apology offered. I chased up the replacement after 12 mins. It came after almost 20 mins, hot but only part cooked, part burnt, part crumb uncooked. I couldn't summon the energy to complain further it was obvious they were not interested in ensuring a satisfactory dining experience as no apology offered by whom I assumed was the manager. We paid and left. It's such a shame as we've eaten there with our family and friends on many occasions. They clearly do have supply issues as I haven't recently ordered gin or mixers as they regularly don't have the stock. The old staff were much more willing and friendly. We are loathe to return and waste our money again

We were luckily enough to book a dome for our Christmas night out, it’s was Devine! The atmosphere and set up is lovely, you have your own speaker to play music which makes the atmosphere personalized. They make the effort to keep you warm, with a mini heater and blankets, which worked a great on a very wet evening. We ordered from the festive menu, the waiter Ash was very helpful with recommendations. The girls ordered pork and there were no complaints, the turkey was cooked lovely. The sides and vegetables were slightly undercooked, when we mentioned this, there was no arguments from the restaurant and they compensated us for it. The desserts were delicious too. Ashley was hustling, even so he was attentive, and personable. I would definitely recommend!

Beautiful little pub in Mere Green. Always great service and delicious food. I have visited many times, this time we had some excellent services from Heather and Steve. Perfect for an overdue girls lunchtime catchup! Beautiful pods outside too, with a speaker for music. Highly recommended. Bally

This is the second time I've been to this cost pub. First time was for a friends 30th a few years ago where we had a hired section of the pub which was a lovely space for a celebration. This time, my husband and I came for a meal out. The quality was just as good as I remembered and the atmosphere even cosier - being in winter now. The service was also very warm with Ellie our waitress taking care of us. A lovely local pub with good food!

I believe that any review should be accurate honest and a true representation of the food the service an ambience of the establishment. Hence, Five meals ordered which arrived an hour after we ordered them. The two linguine dishes were over powering with far too much garlic and not edible, the steak pie was tasteless the mash wasn't seasoned and was watery, all in all a complete disaster from a taste and culinary experience. It was sometime after I decided not to eat the pie before being asked if averything was OK, the answer was no because it was inedible. The manager did say that we wouldn't have to pay for three of the meals however he was sarcastic in his approach. Therefore I would not recommend this place on the grounds of tasteless food and the arrogant sarcastic staff who would best serve this restaurant by being dismissed. Very unsatisfied

We came to the Green House for the first time last week and received excellent service. We will absolutely be re visiting this beautiful place. We had lunch in a dome today in the snow and it was magical. The heater was on, we had lights and a portable speaker inside for music. We felt like we were in the Alps. A vert special experience and amazing food.

First time at The Green House - 17th November....booked for intimate 45th Anniversary Meal with family and friends. The staff were excellent went above and beyond to make to make my parents feel special. Nothing was too much trouble. The decor was lovely , atmosphere wonderful and truly appreciated every member of staffs efforts. The Manager - ASH .....and ELLIE truly appreciated the kindness and attention to detail. Food was beautiful THANK YOU chef's. Would definitely recommend. Truly beautiful afternoon/evening. Will definitely return. See you soon.

Dining in a cozy 'bubble' at The Greenhouse Sutton Coldfield was a delightful experience. From the friendly and professional service to the outstanding food - the linguine was amazing! Everything was perfect. The chef's passion for his dishes and genuine care for his customers elevated the experience to something truly memorable.

A wonderful meal with superb service. Made even more magical by dining in the outside “ bubble”.

A wide and varied menu selection that included some delicious and delightful combinations of tastes and textures. First class service throughout, especially by Elle who was very customer aware and when pressure of work allowed, pleasantly interpersonal.

Spur of the moment booking for Sunday lunch didn't disappoint it was loverly. The star of the day was Shawn our server. He was attentive, friendly and very professional and gave fab recommendation for pud, lemon tart which was spot on. Can't wait to visit again

Really lovely staff. Served by Bryon a few times at the bar and he is always a friendly face. Wish there was better seating out the front. More privacy from the car park. Would suggest some greenery or fences to separate the two.

The green house was very accommodating for our group of 16. They was very well organised and all staff was lovely. But wanted to say big thankyou to Sean who had great hospitality, he was so lovely and friendly and was really helpful rewriting out my preorder for me and setting up loads of different tabs for our group.

Enjoyed the pod experience on the weekend - perfect space for catching up and having a few drinks. Pods are cosy, we played our own music too. Would definitely use again ❤️

The dome was such a lovely experience in the rain but kept nice and toasty. The staff were attentive and ready to take our order so we didn’t need to go in and out

I opted for fish and chips, which was a sizeable and tasty portion. Cheese and biscuits to follow provided a delightful combination of textures and tastes. Service throughout by Maddie was excellent. As well as being mindful of customer needs she was delightfully personable and communicative. A great ambassador for your restaurant.

Had really amazing time out at the green house we had booked the domes out front and the atmosphere in the domes was really great as we had our own speaker which was given to us. Definitely going to book again

My first visit to the Greenhouse and my last we went to commerate a special event. It took at least 10mins to be attend to although we'd prebooked. At least three members of staff came across to us but it took the 3rd to check the booking. Bearing in mind that we are in our eighties and use walking sticks. The service was slow and none exsistant at times. Food could have been hotter , beef was tough, and value for money it was not. Far too highly priced for what we received and bad service

Very good, if you like M/R steak, order medium. Beaverton beer is very refreshing!

We have just been in the dome! The most amazing experience, unreal service and the privacy but also getting atmosphere is perfect.

What can anyone say about a pub that sells food and has disgusting fowl overflowing smelling toilets that are more akin to a third world country than a modern English public house sad …sack the manager immediately….. Is my call thankfully I only purchased half a Guinness …oh visited for a second time 30th Oct aee see at 18.49 toilet still not acceptable urine all around the urinalysis floor ..main pub has a distinct stale smell …good new thou the Guinness is still drinkable ….advice avoid

It's a great venue that is in desperate need of a face-lift. The food was delicious and the staff are accommodating. Good value, these days! Got to say up there with the best fish n chips we have ever had anywhere. Nuf sed.

We Had Our Intimate Wedding Reception Here on the 7/9/24 and Everything was Perfect They Set Out The Room Exactly How We Wanted It The Night Before, So It was Made Easier For The Lady Who Was Decorating The Room For Us. We Had The Celebration Set Menu and We Well Recommend it, It Was Absolutely Beautiful Thankyou For Making Our Wedding Day a Special Day to Remember

Was greeted by Dan on the door , very welcoming and friendly. Showed us to our table, asked how we was and if we were happy with the table. He was so nice and was able to answer questions we asked about the menu. He even recommended a few dishes for us. Dan also took our order and delivered our wine in a lovely ice bucket. The service we were given by Dan was 10/10 and we will definitely be returning. Thanks again Dan !!
