Pub was under new ownership the landlord was very welcoming. Not busy when we visited

Visited for the first time for the wake of Edd McDonald and the staff were very friendly.

A good proper pub, great for a football match & a beer

Had a wonderful time with the locals. Had an amazing welcome me an my family. Came to see my Brother in-law at his local The coffin Dodger (Ray House)😂😂😂. Wonderful pub most definitely going back

PUB IS AWFUL!! Staff are just rude, take ages to serve you. The landlord has their son in there in the evenings (he only looks about 12/13) surely this shouldn’t allowed! Pub has gone down hill, definitely could do with a clean in there and a fresh new look

OK so I have had a change of heart this venue is rough and ready. The staff are what make it Christine and Stu are fantastic landlords and are trying to turn this into a decent pub.

Pretty run down pub, we went out the back and cobwebs everywhere, litter, needs paint, someone needs to spend a bit of time and freshen it up, pretty grim

Joe the barman is very good always get a warm welcome when you arrive.

I was working in the area and do so each year. Went last year it was very good nice atmosphere friendly 5 staff with deejay very busy pub. This time two staff not as friendly no chat just get your money asap and not even really busy plus karaoke which is always a minus in my book. I would keep that to private house parties or at home not inflict it on customers in my opinion. Not where people go to unwind and have a drink, this is one reason why they might of been quieter than a year ago. Sadly seems to have lost its old charm found out while in there that it was recently under new management. Not planning on returning back myself but if you like that sort of thing people singing out of tune. Get yourself down there and put your name on the list.

A low ceiling and low quality pub.

There is a new manager who is very arrogant. I would not waste my money and go to the falcon where the staff are friendly. Shame as the last manager was ok

Renovated old Wycombe pub . Friendly staff but on morning of visit no craft beer available. However competitive prices and would use again when on a Wycombe visit as is good location and friendlier than other town centre pubs

Prices have gone up.uch cheaper in the Falcon.

Like a real pub, but with less staff. Good place forcs drink but on a busy Saturday not enough staff.

Rude pub staff because he was swearing at a man when the bar staff said you can't move tables but there was need for the pub staff to swear this man waa asking if he could join my table and he was being polite to me

Ridiculous, ever since the previous owner was removed, this new guy has destroyed the atmosphere of this pub, it no longer feels like a community pub, with a horrible bar manager who is rude to not ownly his customers but his staff too.

Great pub for a few drinks and some games. Very friendly staff and great atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Super cheap drinks, good selection of beers and normally a decent band playing on weekends.

Traditional pub. Friendly staff. Great place for starters to meet for a night out or a place to chill when the rest get you down.

For me, the best pub in town. A craft union inn now plus its also one of the last live music venues in town. Great atmosphere, great service, good range of ales, spirits, wine etc etc.

Asked for three drinks.Didnt have any of them,no Prosecco,no Archers,no Malibu so moved on to another pub that had all of them

Best ale house in Wycombe town centre. Great entertainment on strategic nights. Need to be there early on popular nights.

True honest pub. Not quite the character that it had as the Hobgoblin, but it's a step in the right direction.

Great place for a pint also they have bands on some nights the last band fret heads was amazing

Prices almost on par with the local Wetherspoons pub just up the road, worth a visit for the better service!

It's a good pub but the barman plays the music TOO LOUD! Much too loud..!

Visited last night, to my surprise the prices are the same as the Falcon! Doom Bar £2 a pint! You can't knock those prices for the high street. As always watch your head and the steps in there ;)

Ever so cheap cash only bar with good range of strong ciders, good place to watch sport although outside tv could be bigger/clearer it's still good they have one. Staff are mainly friendly and the locals are up for banter

To many dirty glasses, why can't they get new ones and keep them clean. Some of the bar staff just walk past you when you've been waiting for a drink for a long time.

Nice friendly sports bar, lovely outside patio. Good selection of beers. It's cash only but as is on the high street there are plenty of cash points around so not an incovinience. Really friendly staff.
