One of the invaluable stalwart community hubs of the waterside and nomadic people on this stretch of the Grand Union canal. Reliably well-kept bitters; a good old-fashioned, casual, sawdusty basic comfort and warmth; gloriously dog-friendly; and with good folks on both sides of the bar.

Lovely roast dinner, only thing i would say is vegetables included should be listed incase you do not like them, gravy should be served in a boat as not very much on plate but overall fantastic roast. Barmaid was lovely very chatty with good banter, the lady who then brang our food was not as courteous I would say I got the impression she was senior staff and forgot a cheery voice and a smile goes a longer way but lightened uo towards the end. Lovely site in the sunshine with a real country feel considering just out of town, will visit again.

I've known about this pub for over twenty years but never visited it until today. Everything about our lunch today was great. Pleasant staff, very attentive and informative. The atmosphere was friendly and buzzing with people enjoying themselves. It wasn't noisy, just bustling with activity. Our food arrived promptly and all three courses were well presented and very tasty. Don't do what we did and leave it for twenty two years before trying it!

Exactly the sort of pub food that gives British food a bad name. Luke warm or overcooked depending on the dish, obviously not freshly cooked.

Have visited this pub for many years but had a really bad experience on New Years day. One of the starters we ordered was served frozen and inedible and the rest of the food was of really mixed quality Some cooked well and others like my Korean burger no better than Wetherspoons. For £17-£28 for a main it's really inexcusable and they add a service charge on top automatically. Love the pub and location, want to support it but you need to improve the food or bring down the prices to reflect the actual quality.

Disappointed. We’ve been in the past, but this time was really sub-standard. We went for Christmas Eve. A not so friendly greeting at the door and we were immediately informed that there was no pork belly or Camembert, two very Christmassy items that should be available. We started with crispy cauliflower, which was soggy and cold, as well as olives and a baked chorizo, which were average. In the absence of pork belly I chose the bavette steak, only to be told that that too was not available. I opted then for a sirloin. My partner’s duck was “ok, but a bit dry”. Both meals were served without any sauce, making them dull. Even a little pan jus would have been great. I did ask for garlic butter to help this. Overall the meal was just ok, don’t think we’ll be back.

The service is so slow we have been here two hours and dessert still hasn’t been served (we are only a table of 8 who pre ordered)and the pub is basically empty of customers (funnily enough) one of the serving staffs personal hygiene is poor to the point I hold my breath when they come over. Really nice pub with nice staff. I visited earlier in the year. I lost my phone outside and a young lady who works there found it and handed it in. I also remember pointing out an error in the description of a cocktail and amazingly the man (maybe the manager) tore down the offending piece of paper and offered me the cocktail at half price. It was an amazing drink. Almost a religious experience. A really nice pub.

I gave The Three Locks a 2nd chance today as I was put off by the very unfriendly/ rude service on my 1st visit. Unfortunately, my 2nd visit wasn't any better and I won't return to a place where staff cannot be bothered to smile or even attempt to be friendly. I visited with 2 different people on those occasions and bad reviews spread so you would think they'd try little bit harder to show even the smallest amount of appreciation for your custom. Sadly not.

The food was tasty, but I felt it was a bit overpriced. The Sunday roast I had came in at £22, which for 2 slices of beef, 3 roasties, a Yorkie and a pile of veggies felt a bit much. Service was great, waitresses attentive and polite, and the pub itself is in a great spot. Parking is not the best, especially with a tree blocking a chunk of the car park, so bear in mind parking is very limited.

Wow, this place is dearer than some of the best restaurants I've eaten in. £9 for a starter is a rip-off. I don't care how nice the porcelain plate you serve it on is. We decided to sit outside as it looked a little dark inside, and the tables in the shade had mossy mould over them, and the clean ones that were unfortunately taken were in the sun. Either wash them with chlorine or swap them round every few weeks. The staff was helpful, but when asked for ice, I was told they had none as he'd not got round to refilling the ice by the sink, even though the bar was empty. Scotch egg starter was good.

Visited for a Sunday dinner. Obviously it’s a lovely location - shame it wasn’t a nice day to sit outside but image it’s awesome to do so! Inside is very nicely fitted, good spacing between tables, very attentive staff and vegan options on the menu! The main and deserts were great for a vegan but the starter was just a salad, which is fine just a bit basic considering the effort they put into the other options. Overall a lovely experience and will be going back on a sunny day to be able to sit outside.

Nice pub, it lacks a cozy feel in the bar area, but outside in the sun I'm sure it would be epic. Anyway for dinner we ordered chorizo appetizer and goats cheese starter. Nice and tasty. The chicken salad had too much mayo on, and for £17 lacked a bit of salad variety. The mushroom burger was tasty. But regards the patty itself I didn't really like it. Possibly not the best food on their menu.

My order on Just Eat kept having its delivery time changed, and by the time it arrived, the pizza was completely cold. The driver didn’t have an insulated bag, and there was no way to prevent tampering, unlike other restaurants that seal their bags or boxes. While the pizza itself was good, it’s fast food for a reason, and it’s disappointing to receive it in such a poor condition and not worth the £20 paid. It’s not entirely the restaurant’s fault, but they should make sure drivers have the correct insulated bags. In fact, I’ve even had an order arrive in a Lidl bag before. It seems that Uber, Just Eat, and Deliveroo aren’t doing enough to ensure their drivers are properly equipped, and restaurants are just handing the orders over without refusing if they do not have the insulated bags that they are suppose to have.
