Had lunch here with children, grandchildren and dog. All made to feel welcome. Great menu and separate one for children. Food was excellent. We had a spillage and staff cleared it straight away, no problem. The staff are so lovely, engaging and friendly. We don’t live in the area but would definitely go back when we’re up that way and highly recommend it.

I gave The Three Locks a 2nd chance today as I was put off by the very unfriendly/ rude service on my 1st visit. Unfortunately, my 2nd visit wasn't any better and I won't return to a place where staff cannot be bothered to smile or even attempt to be friendly. I visited with 2 different people on those occasions and bad reviews spread so you would think they'd try little bit harder to show even the smallest amount of appreciation for your custom. Sadly not.

The food was tasty, but I felt it was a bit overpriced. The Sunday roast I had came in at £22, which for 2 slices of beef, 3 roasties, a Yorkie and a pile of veggies felt a bit much. Service was great, waitresses attentive and polite, and the pub itself is in a great spot. Parking is not the best, especially with a tree blocking a chunk of the car park, so bear in mind parking is very limited.

Lovely pub by the canal. The staff were friendly, cheerful and efficient. Varied menu to suit all tastes. There was a wait for the food but it was cooked to order so that was to be expected. We had haddock coupons, bubble and squeak cake and the lamb koftas. They were all piping hot and delicious. We then ordered the apple pie and Etin mess for dessert. We will definitely visit again.

Wow, this place is dearer than some of the best restaurants I've eaten in. £9 for a starter is a rip-off. I don't care how nice the porcelain plate you serve it on is. We decided to sit outside as it looked a little dark inside, and the tables in the shade had mossy mould over them, and the clean ones that were unfortunately taken were in the sun. Either wash them with chlorine or swap them round every few weeks. The staff was helpful, but when asked for ice, I was told they had none as he'd not got round to refilling the ice by the sink, even though the bar was empty. Scotch egg starter was good.

Visited for a Sunday dinner. Obviously it’s a lovely location - shame it wasn’t a nice day to sit outside but image it’s awesome to do so! Inside is very nicely fitted, good spacing between tables, very attentive staff and vegan options on the menu! The main and deserts were great for a vegan but the starter was just a salad, which is fine just a bit basic considering the effort they put into the other options. Overall a lovely experience and will be going back on a sunny day to be able to sit outside.

Great hospitality, good food, unique atmosphere, big car park, what else you need? Nice walking places around and top of all, it is a nice place for paddle boarding, cycling as well. I loved the time what I spent here. The Three Locks is a great 5 star pub.

Nice pub, it lacks a cozy feel in the bar area, but outside in the sun I'm sure it would be epic. Anyway for dinner we ordered chorizo appetizer and goats cheese starter. Nice and tasty. The chicken salad had too much mayo on, and for £17 lacked a bit of salad variety. The mushroom burger was tasty. But regards the patty itself I didn't really like it. Possibly not the best food on their menu.

Not the best experience. Took my elderly dad for a birthday treat. The staff were so slow. Had to keep checking that the gluten free options were as stated as kept bringing the wrong ones out. Drink orders were wrong each time too. Patrons outside were served before us even though they arrived after we did, some an hour after. We were sat on a square corner seating arrangement with a small round wobbly table. Can't think of anything much that was good about the visit to be honest!!!

Toilets are located on site. The food is lovely and cooked fresh to order which excellent. Very cozy pub right next to the canal. We went through the locks and moored the boat nearby. Being vegan, we expected to be faced with the same frozen veg patty everyone seems to have, but couldn't have been more wrong! They have a number of freshly-made vegan options that all sounded delicious. We started with red pepper hummus with warm flat bread, which was fresh and tasty. We had the vegan pot pies, which were delicious, with a crispy freshly-baked crust. They came with some of the best chips we've had in months, and a side of green beans, broccoli, and peas, and a pot of gravy. They offer intriguing sounding vegan deserts as well, but we were both stuffed, so maybe another time. Everyone working there was pleasant, and seemed to be genuinely happy. I heard my praise for the food immediately passed along to the chef, which was gratifying. The server was friendly, attentive, and helpfully recommended the pie when told we were vegan. On the way out, I spoke to a very cordial gentleman who I assume was the manager, and told him how much we appreciated the vegan selections, and how good everything was. I'm posting photos of their current menu, along with their extraordinary holiday menus (including lots of good vegan options for all the courses!). Highly recommended, by a couple of damp, cold boaters in out of the rain!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Three Lock Place and Pub, and it was nothing short of amazing! This charming location offers a unique experience where you can witness small boats passing through the locks, creating a picturesque setting. The people in and around the place are incredibly friendly, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. One of the highlights of this place is the traditional pub, which beautifully reflects the memories of the past while seamlessly blending in a touch of modernity. During our visit a couple of months ago, we were truly impressed with the food. We ordered both vegetarian and vegan dishes, and they were all up to the mark in terms of quality, quantity, taste and presentation. What made our visit even more memorable was the exceptional staff. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, and the chef's culinary skills were nothing short of fantastic. The entire experience at Three Lock Place and Pub left us feeling content and satisfied. We can't wait to return to this wonderful establishment. The combination of delicious food, a picturesque location, and a friendly atmosphere makes it a must-visit. 👏🍽️🌟

Food was really nice. I had red pepper hummus, calamari and olives to start with then fish and chips for the main. The calamari was crispy and cooked perfectly, the artisan breads were nice and had a nice stone baked flavour to them. The portions were a good size, the only downside were the chips which I felt maybe they could do with some work or a new supplier for them. The fish however was tasty and perfect. We finished with a flat white which was top notch. The service was incredible, our waiter was friendly and welcoming and his product knowledge was really good. He also a couple times made sure that we didn’t have any allergies which i thought was reassuring.

We went for a lovely meal here. Plenty of choice. I had 2 delicious starters (funghi and melanzane) and my friend had the broccoli pasta and we finished with a lemon tart that melted in our mouths. The waiter was very attentive and smiley without being OTT. The toilets were clean. Excellent value for money. I would certainly prefer to spend my money in this charming local restaurant with fresh produce than in one of the large chains in the centre. Thank you.
