Lovely little pub just off old street. Looks pretty from the outside, the inside has an interesting decor but it's not bad by any means just quirky. On the pricier side but it's old street, that's to be expected unfortunately. Great selection of beers, plenty of your standard lagers and other, but also plenty of variety on the IPA front. Can't speak for the other drinks, but my mate had a nice wine. Have tried food here before and it's pretty tasty. The menu always has some interesting dishes that you wouldn't find in just any pub like some nice starters.

2nd time at this place. The food was great, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was lively. Well decorated except for the low lighting in the eating area makes it very difficult to read the menus.

The truth is that I didn't eat, but what I saw on the tables looked good. The service was very friendly, but they told us they didn't have change and they had to charge us with a card. Typical English pub!

Took my husband here for his birthday at the weekend, we both had the vegan roast and it was really tasty. Reasonably priced wine too!

Nice enough place, low key, enjoyed a pint outside at the picnic tables. They don’t accept cash.

I book premier inn every time I visit London because this pub is next door and has the best burgers on the planet. The food, atmosphere and staff are excellent. I highly recommend. Ate here 3 times during my 3 day stay

This is a pub that I always like to start at when I'm staying in the area, and I've always had a warm welcome every time I come here, and today was no exception. Had the burger while I was here while watching the football, and it was one of the best burgers I've ever had in London. Great service, great food. Absolutely would recommend.

Wow, can’t say enough good things about this place! Stopped at the Z Hotel across the road for 3 days (2 adults and 2 children), came across for a drink each night, excellent service and great atmosphere. On the second night we opted to sample the food and that didn’t disappoint, all the meals were well prepared, tasted great and left us feeling satisfied. Highly recommend.

Great pub! Food was brilliant, great selection of drinks and service was super friendly too. Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese was especially good, burgers and various loaded fries were good too.

Had a booking for the Euros and despite the fact we had reserved a table for 6 people (4 people had already arrived and were seated), we were refused entry by a surly member of staff who repeatedly told us he "didnt care" and would mot be letting us in in a rude and condescending manner. Having never been to the pub before, i wouldnt recommend venturing over again to be met with staff who were unprofessional and unprepared.

Just arrived from liverpool and visited again still a great place.

Hubby fancied a Guinness so we popped into this pub as it advertised the best pint on a board outside. It’s a very good Guinness and a lovely bar. Seems to do food too so we may return and test out the menu.

Came with a couple friends on a random Monday for happy hour and it was such a pleasant surprise! Great food and drink selection, staff is lovely! Will definitely come back.

Fast becoming one of my favourite pubs in London. Excellent drinks selection. The pub itself has a great atmosphere. The staff are generally pretty good. Haven't eaten here yet.

Visited this place by chance last night as we were staying in the area and were looking for a chill night, and we were not disappointed. The place got really busy surprisingly and unexpected for a Monday evening and they were short staffed however the guys managed it very well and were very apologetic of the waiting times but to us that was not an issue at all. The food was great regardless and quite good quality beers as well. Absolutely 5 ⭐️ for the well managed service. I would be back!

Went in for a random Monday night dinner, and I really liked the vibe. They were having a pub quiz but had so many other tables available for dinner, and we didn’t get bothered at all by the noise. The pub is huge, the cosy atmosphere is really nice and the food is honestly really good! I really enjoyed the pork chop, it was perfectly cooked! The fish cake was okay but the broccolini were a bit too sour due to the lemon juice. Otherwise everything else was quite enjoyable, will definitely come back.

A cozy pub opposite our hotel. Nice spontaneous service, delicious bites beforehand and my husband loved the cheeseburger! After paying, where we had already given some tip, we saw that we had paid an extra 12% tip, €10! That is on a voluntary basis...so not. Should have just said it. We determine the tip ourselves. With some effort we were able to get this overpaid amount back. Too bad, it gave a bit of a bad aftertaste to the pleasant evening.

Een gezellige pub tegenover ons hotel. Leuke spontane bediening, heerlijke bites vooraf en mijn man vond de cheeseburger héérlijk! Na het afrekenen waar we al wat fooi hadden gegeven zagen we dat we 12% fooi, €10!, extra betaald hadden. Dat is op vrijwillige basis....dus niet. Had het even gezegd. Fooi bepalen wij zelf. Met wat moeite hebben we dit teveel betaalde bedrag teruggekregen. Jammer, gaf een beetje een nare nasmaak aan de gezellige avond.

Really tasty Sunday roast. Pricey but worth it. The flavours of the lamb are fantastic. I also tried the hot chicken bits which were really well seasoned with spicy herbs and spices as well as being so tasty. Would highly recommend on a Sunday.

Food was not great... ordered shepherds pie and it was full of peas...more of a pea pie than anything else. Not everyone likes peas!! Otherwise the ambiance was good and drinks too, but the shepherds pie I don't recommend unfortunately!!

Top notch food, with stone cold service. Both staff appeared rather miserable. It wasn’t busy, but minimal effort and consequently it felt very transactional. The presence one member of staff actually created a depressing atmosphere whenever you interacted with her. In stark contrast, the food wss perfect and one of the best pub roasts I’ve had in a while. This could be a real attraction if the customer service was made warmer and friendlier.

Nipped in for food as we was staying across the road in the Alexandra. Atmosphere was great, the service was very good as was the Katsu Chicken thigh burger I had. Good selection of beers/IPA on tap.

Ate and drank here a couple of times this week, when working nearby. Really nice friendly pub. There was a big work group of us and on the Sunday evening we had the roast and selected from the menu on the Monday. The food was well cooked and quickly turned around by the chef. Highly recommend the veggie roast option. The pub is card only and there was a pub quiz on the Sunday evening.

Good selection of beers worth a visit or two!

I came here with friends for a leaving lunch. In the cold weather like 5 degree , the whole pub was so cold… I ordered Roast Lamb. The portion was too little and the price is a bit expensive. I wouldn’t come around for the second time and it wasn’t busy at all but it was difficult to get the staff attention. All in all, I am quite disappointed about the dinning experience

My wife and I visited London (Shoreditch area) from Northern NY in December 2023. I stopped by the Three Crowns on my way back to hotel for a pint and to recon the menu. The bartender didn't have any 'bitter' but turned me onto a cask ale, which was quite good. I looked at the menu, which looked good. I noticed on the signboard that they boasted the 'best fish and chip in the area'... I asked the bartender f that were true and he said, 'How should I know? I'm vegan!" Regardless, I came back with my wife and we sat in this cozy pub area, which seemed to have quite a few older people and some families hanging out, and we ordered food (and another cask ale). My wife tried the fish and chips, which were excellent... cooked perfectly. I had the cottage pie, which was tasty and filling. Service was pretty attentive and prices weren't bad. They don't accept cash at all, so bring a card. I enjoyed this place and would recommend it as a relaxed pub for a pint or meal.

Had a really good pub vibe in here when we went on Sunday - full pub, some people watching football, some people enjoying the pub quiz, us mostly drinking and having a good time. I've eaten here a few years ago, was good without being anything special. Beer choice is reasonable - Club Tropica for example.

This pub feels off the beaten track in Shoreditch/Hoxton/Old St but it's always busy and such a good place to have a drink. It manages to strike a balance between being a traditional boozer and contemporary gastropub.

We visited tonight as it was near where we were staying at the Premier Inn. Nice atmosphere, friendly guy serving our food. Nice food which was served quickly and was very tasty and the Christmas decs were really nice. We’d travelled up from Cornwall this morning and this was ideally situated for us as it was just a short walk from our Premier Inn. Only thing that was lacking was Christmas music!!

Homophobia from staff quite happy to charge £7.10 for a badly poored pint. Don’t kiss if you are gay in this pub, apparently it puts people off their food.

My son and I, visiting from the states, had lunch at the “The Three Crowns” on Nov. 9th. My son ordered the mac & cheese and I had a burger. From my 1st bite till when I finished the burger it was the absolute best burger I have EVER had! Should you visit London, I would totally recommend The Three Crowns. Larry Grund, IOWA USA

Poor experience booking for some corporate drinks. We booked to go on a Tuesday night after an event which unfortunately ran over by 20 minutes. We let the pub know which they said was fine. We arrived and they had given our table away, were unhelpful and I later discovered had charged me the deposit (£10pp). After asking for a refund I was told that we hadn’t spent enough money to make up for being 20 minutes late(?) After the staff being awkward about our tables being given away (in a fairly empty pub) we didn’t really want to stay and drink a lot there. I’m sure it’s nice at other times I just wouldn’t recommend for pre booking or anything that might require them to be flexible.

Lovely pub with an open kitchen so you can see what is going on. The food was tasty and well presented. Good choice of beer too. The only thing that let this place down was the toilets which were smelly and dirty during our visit

I am regular at Three Crowns. The vibe is always great and I love the service George gives me and my team. We have an office next door and we come here every week. It was really amazing when George initiated the conversations and recognised us to be the regulars. This kind of service should be recognised!

Appears as a traditional pub but is more like a nightclub in the evening. Service was quick, just did a couple pints.

Just went midday to book a table for 24th, had a drink. The young barmaid was friendly and welcoming 🙏 the pub quiet and relaxed, in the busy West End. Near some great (& soke of my favourite locations) the Jermyn Street theatre🎭 and Curzon Soho🎬

Having recently visited for Sunday dinner with friends for a long awaited meet up, it was a surprise, and disappointment to discover that this company refuses to accept cash (legal tender) as payment for items sold in the pub... I asked the server why this restrictive and divisive policy was in place and he said it was because "it's because the pub didn't want to pay bank costs to pay physical money in." Which seems odd because it costs money to accept card payments and you don't receive the full value of card payments due to the variety of 3rd party costs connected to digital payments, when with cash, the only thing it really "costs" to deposit takings into a bank is someone's time... and they'd be on a salary from the pub, so not sure this can be factually true... Secondly, unfortunately it was with dismay that we discovered our meals were more expensive than we'd budgeted for. The website states one price for Sunday lunch and the reality is a different menu, different price. This is not acceptable. When we came to pay we then had unknown additional charges including extra for gravy and service to add insult to injury to an already more pricey lunch. None of these hidden costs were explained to us at the time of ordering our food and all three of us said upon leaving, that we wouldn't have stayed had we known any of this in advance. As cash is legal tender, all retailers should still have provisions in place for customers. I do not use cards aside from one emergency credit card, so as your team and company refuses to accept cash - even exact amounts, and for fear of further embarrassment, I had to use my emergency card which has a limit I cannot afford to go over. A huge campaign has been going on nationally to ensure cash continues to be protected to allow everyone, not just corporate and wealthy individuals the opportunity to spend their own money without fear of discrimination from businesses. I'm surprised that the pub is as shortsighted as to ban cash and not have any backup should their digital systems go down. With times increasingly harder than ever before, and particularly for hospitality businesses and pubs particularly, I would have thought the pub would be actively trying to ensure ALL people are catered for, and encourage the continued running of the venue, rather than adding barriers and obstacles to business. Covid was partly used as an excuse by many because people wrongly believed it could be transmitted on cash. This has long been proven incorrect and an unsubstantiated fear. Covid was also used as a catalyst for bringing upon a digitalised system to an unaware public, however many businesses, particularly independents (which I would prefer to support) reverted to accepting cash again now that the pandemic is over. Refusing to accept cash is especially frustrating when you are on a budget, and perhaps are at the limit on cards so literally cannot afford to go into overdraft. It is extremely blinkered to rely wholly on internet/ digital services which can and do often fail, leaving you without service and losing money. Removing cash as a form of payment is discriminatory and embarrassing, especially for more vulnerable members of society who rely on its use, and likely would have been customers of theirs who view going to the pub as their community lifeline outside their home. The hospitality industry was hardly supported at all, in fact it was heavily discriminated AGAINST by the UK government during 2020-2022, and I cannot understand why they are effectively doing the same to a public wishing to support them. Whilst the food was tasty, the overall hassle we had regarding their anti cash stance, and unforeseen additional costs has left all 3 of us with a nasty taste in our mouth and would rather go elsewhere than return. I wonder how many others are also experiencing this from the pub but haven't the energy to write.

A very good pub, with nice selection of taps, all of your standard cocktails, and remember to ask for the student discount! Also the food (Ted’s Burgers) is very, very good and I would highly recommend the menu if you want something to go along with your pint(s).

Fantastic atmosphere and food. I popped in whilst staying in the area and had a pint and a burger (the FUKU Burger). One of the nicest and messiest burgers I’ve had with loverly chips. Not cheap, but well worth it. A very eclectic mix of people in the pub, which is great. If I’m ever in the area again, I’ll definitely be back for a 2nd go.

Barman last Friday night tried to over charge me for our drinks until I told him it was wrong. Not a good service at all. Music far to loud for the pub aswell.

30 quid for fish, chips and a pint and without telling me they add on a 12.5pc service charge. For what???? Bringing the food to a table 6 feet away?

We had the best experience! The drinks and food were outstanding! Expresso martinis, cheese fries, and fish and chips made doing trivia night all the more fun! Staff could not have been nicer! Also, Rosie, the sales account manager, went above and beyond helping to find a receipt we needed after returning home.

Good burger, bad pint of bitter, £11 for a glass of red wine and £19 for a burger once service is added. Staff not esp fussed. Won’t be back this time.

Classic British pub with great Asian fusion burgers! This American greatly enjoyed my visit here. I had the plant-based meat option. Very tasty. The fries were perfectly crisp and seasoned well.

Superb pub food with an Asian twist. I had the Katsu burger with fries, it was fab. Came on my own and enjoyed a drink with it too, very welcoming and one of the best ranges of music I’ve heard a pub play in London!

If you don’t come here for the friendly service and drinks, then come for the food. Insane burgers from Fuji London. You’re missing out if the Chicken Katsu Curry Burger isn’t a feature in your life. The fries are some of the best I’ve ever had. Go here, eat some stuff, drink some drinks.

Been coming to Shoreditch for a long time and this is by far the nicest place to go, we had the Sunday roast and it was absolutely amazing, could not recommend highly enough, for the best food and friendly atmosphere it’s worth popping in
